      It’s a great trail system, I only saw a little of it and haven’t been back since. I hope to be back around Thanksgiving this year.

    Rode same trail today. 11 miles total. First time. It was so much fun. Great fast trail. Want to go back and ride other side too.

    next time in DFW, try Erwin Park up in McKinney, and Rowlett Creek Preserve, over in Garland. Lots of interesting woods trails combined w/ terrain features. Northshore is considered mtb mecca in the DFW area.

    Awesome vid. Thanks for posting! Fun looking trails, but I think it would be a 6+ hour drive for me. I also appreciate your comments about the coronavirus, and I think biking is one of the safest activities and a great way to get out of the house and get plenty of exercise while still maintaining all the social distance recommendations. Just be careful to not go out too much, become fatigued over many days of riding and run down your immune system. (I've done that before! I've had a few bails, cuts and bruises, but nothing kept me off the trails like a bad head cold I caught in October after biking 5 days a week for several weeks in row, always trying to outdo my previous ride.)

    • @ChrisCXK
      @ChrisCXK  4 года назад

      Thanks! I doubt I'll get to go to Bentonville with what's happening now. Unfortunately, my work is only getting busier and its impossible to distance totally. I go into people's houses all day..ugh. I am riding more and more since I have the local trail I found, hopefully I won't get too run down.

    What type of bike is appropriate for this trail and other popular DORBA trails?

    • @ChrisCXK
      @ChrisCXK  2 года назад

      I’m no expert but I’d recommend at least spending $700 on a bike from a bike shop. Don’t bother with Amazon or random bike stores online. It will be a hard tail mountain bike at that price but that’s going to be a great start and enough for almost all of the trails in the area. If you end up really liking mountain biking, start saving for a full suspension bike. That’s how I started. I honestly wasn’t sure I’d stick with it but I did and a year later I bought a full suspension bike.

  • @yosmith1

    very fun trails. I try to hit those whenever I make it up that way. Gotta put in a plug for DORBA, they do a great job up there.

    Great video, thanks! What brands would you recommend to someone looking for their first full suspension mountain bike/something that could be ridden on Angel Fire and isn't super expensive? Thanks!

    • @ChrisCXK
      @ChrisCXK  4 года назад +1

      Hey Caleb! I’m not the one to recommend bikes lol! But, my friend Cobra Kyle made a video about some budget full suspension bikes ruclips.net/video/oBXUEnssMXg/видео.html. I have a Trek Fuel Ex 8. It has 130mm travel and probably isn’t quite up to Angel Fire, but I’m at Angel Fire now and it did fine!

    What’s that noise I keep hearing? Are u riding your brakes? Or a bad bearing? Anyway, nice ride I subbed.

    • @ChrisCXK
      @ChrisCXK  4 года назад

      I think you're hearing my rear shock. I got it serviced and since then its been a bit louder than usual. I had the shop check it again but it seems fine other than the noise. Thanks for subscribing!
