@@DecodingWordswithAndrew i agree with this, can you please create lesson 6-10. Can you include eles, ele and ela, as i constantly hear my brazilian friend using these words in sentences.
You’re the best Brazilian Portuguese teacher by a MILE! Thank you for your videos. I’m married to a Brazilian and we have been teaching my 2-year-old Portuguese since she was born, and this is sooo helpful for my beginner Portuguese. Thank you!🥹🫶🏻
This is literally like a blessing from god, it’s SO hard to find decent videos to learn Portuguese for beginners. I gotta start writing down all the verb conjugations like I did with Spanish in highschool as well
Thank you, Andrew, your videos are helping me improve my Portuguese and even gain Brazilian friends! They applauded me for my speaking and even invited me to a Baile Funk party! All thanks to you, please keep making these videos!
Andrew! The consistent way you lead us students is so rewarding because of your easy step-by-step method! It’s just perfect for me! I feel as if I’m gaining in ways I never have before! I’m winning by overcoming the thought I can never learn Portuguese! Just the way you build the foundation layering sounds of new words first, then short phrases, then interchangeably producing more sentences that are practical for us early learners to use right away!!! I absolutely love your teaching method and style 😍!!! Thank you so much! Muito Abrigado meu professor!!!
@@erictrzaska5771 I like it so far, but I've only been here for 9 days. Now it's the end of autumn, the weather is perfect for me because I come from northern Europe and I wouldn't say I like heat. However, my wife told me it would be hot in the summer. They don't have an AC system here, and I'll probably have to buy some portable AC.
I've never found studying a new language so easy! You do a great job. My boyfriend is Brazilian and my move is ahead so before that I'm trying to learn as much as I can and your videos help a lot. Thank you! :)
These sessions are the highlights of my mornings! I repeat the sessions every afternoon and stick with one lesson for a week. I then repeat them often.
The lessons build on each other so it'll make more sense if you go in order, but as far as repeating the lessons it doesn't really matter. The way I would personally do them is to review every 4th day, i.e. 1/2/3, then review lesson 1, 4/5/6, then review lesson 2, etc.
Just to help you out with that sentence: eu acho que "seus" vídeos "são" muito "bons" porque eu "aprendo" muito. This is stuff I haven't covered yet but eventually will! "sue" → "seus". "your" (masculine plural) is "seus". "vídeos é" → "vídeos são". "Vídeos" is plural, so we need to use the plural form of the verb "ser" (to be), which is "são". You can refer to the "SER" section of my verb conjugation tutorial: ruclips.net/video/Mii9OopUePg/видео.html "muito bom" → "muito bons". Since "vídeos" is plural, "bom" needs to be plural as well, becoming "bons". "eu aprender" → "eu aprendo". "Aprender" is the infinitive (unconjugated) form of the verb. To say "I learn", it would be "eu aprendo". You can refer to the "Present tense" section of my verb conjugation tutorial: ruclips.net/video/Mii9OopUePg/видео.html Muito bom!!
@@DecodingWordswithAndrew Thank you so much I really appreciate it. I understand it much better now. I’ve watch your verb conjugation video and I’m rewatching it and practicing it.
These tutorials are so awesome! I am dating a Brazilian and just traveled there for the first time. I was able to use some of the phrases you have taught us in these lessons! Please continue to make more of these! Do you offer private lessons with people?
Hi Emma! So great to hear you were able to put it into practice! I don't offer private lessons, but I will most likely be adding 4 more of these beginner series videos, going up to lesson 10. If there's demand to go beyond that, I would consider creating a course which builds on it...so stay tuned, but in the meantime keep an eye for the next 4 videos! :)
Thanks for another great lesson!!👏🏽 Is there a rule on when to use the “a” between verbs? I noticed it’s there in some sentences, like “vou começar a assistir mas filmes”, but not there in others, like “eu vou tentar praticar meu português”.
Glad you enjoyed it! There are certain verbs that require the "a" when it is followed by another verb, such as "começar a + verb" (Eu vou começar a aprender português), "aprender a + verb" (Eu vou aprender a falar português), "ajudar a + verb" (Eu vou te ajudar a aprender--I'm going to help you learn). You'll just need to learn which verbs require it, but these are 3 examples :)
Haven't started it yet so we'll see. These lessons are taking increasingly more work to produce in order to ensure certain concepts are introduced in a logical way...this is what happens when you make a series where the lessons truly build on one another.
Muito obrigado! Pregunta: Are there other verbs that use "a" after the infinitive verb like "comencar" (Sorry; I don't know how to use the correct lettering.)?
“Ler” is the infinitive form of the verb, which isused when the action of reading is being discussed in a general sense, or when the verb follows another verb that requires the infinitive. • Example: “Eu gosto de ler livros.” • I like to read books. “Lendo” is the gerund form of the verb and is used to indicate an ongoing action, similar to the present continuous tense in English. • Example: “Estou lendo um livro.” • I am reading a book.

eu quero = I want, eu estou = I am

Can you help me, I don’t know when to say línguas and when to say idiomas
they're often used interchangeably, but "idiomas" tends to be slightly more formal.
I would appreciate if you could write new words here. i think it is not so many and that would help me aprender them
you can download the PDF
please don't stop
thanks for the feedback Ruslan!
