Well I managed to order some of those outer tire things on Amazon, ended up only paying 26.00 dollars and got them on myself. Saves a lot of money considering wheelchair repair companies can be pricey for servicing

I'm not in a wheelchair, but my friend recently was in an accident and he now is. I'm watching these type of videos so I feel more comfortable and know how to do things with him. I just don't want him to have to educate me and feel odd possibly. I want to be there to support him because God knows he can use it. Thanks for making this type of content. i hope you and your friend are doing good. your comment is great tbh, it's just such a perfect example of how to be a great friend. i hate how disconnected i feel from most of my friends now that i've become disabled. as nice as they all are, none of them know the ins and outs of disability stuff like i do. and a lot of people don't want to ask any questions, and then some people want to ask a tone. idk which is worse tbh, both can be so tiring. so when someone puts in the time to learn, especially about the mundane things like wheelchair maintenance, it means the world.
@@dumbmusorowan we are doing great. He’s been as busy as ever and we just got back from the beach a couple weeks ago. He’s wanting to go to Vegas for Halloween. He had a bit of a rough start with depression and anger etc., but after a few months of processing it all he got on with life. He’s said a couple times now he thinks he’s actually happier than ever and it may sound crazy, but he’s more productive at work and genuinely seems happy.
MDX GY yeah man, I have gotten 3 or 4 flats while out and in the middle of shit. I carry an extra tube in my bag and the tool kit. I also have an extra tube in my car. You'd think solid tires would be a better choice! Haha I like pneumatic tires because it gives me a little more suspension and cushion.
I found out the hard way, i live on the South downs in Uk, got a flat in middle of nowhere and had to hobble home on the rim, i also then learned riding on the rim for a mile or so realy screws them up beyond repair, So now Always carry a spare.😂

😮I see that logo. Man I miss my Ti Lite. Lightest , strongest chair in the planet! Nothing like titanium!!! I could pick the chair yo with in arm. Can't so that with my current one.
Fortunately for myself, I do not experience much spasming being that I am such a low injury, though I may be able to hook you up with some other people!
I suffer extreme spasms in my legs bud, if i can help you somehow i will, i normaly slide my bum over first, wait for spasms to die down then lift legs over one at a time, but not knowing your level of injury i wouldnt want to advise any further.
Thought i was the only one who repairs my wheelchair sat on my bed, i do mine at nightime, live alone so got so fed up of my doorbell ringing whilst in middle of tire change, i swear people timed it that way,😂

Yeah man! I just hop out on the ground or in a chair or something and change my tube. I cary an extra tube and a tool kit in my bag at all times!
