Ancient and unknown history of Park Street, kolkata. It was a dense forest before the 18th century which was abode of ferocious beasts and dangerous robbers. Initially during the construction of Fort William, poor people of the village Govindapur were accommodated there and places selected for burial ground for chirstians.
The road was made in 1760 after clearing the forest.

@historyavenue254 মুর্শিদকুলি খাঁ (ফার্সি: مرشد قلی خان); (আনু. ১৬৬০ - ৩০ জুন ১৭২৭) , যিনি জমিন আলী কুলি নামেও পরিচিত এবং জন্মনাম সূর্য নারায়ণ মিশ্র, তিনি ছিলেন প্রথম বাংলার নবাব, যিনি ১৭১৭ থেকে ১৭২৭ সাল পর্যন্ত দায়িত্ব পালন করেন। তার উপর মুঘল সাম্রাজ্যের নামমাত্র আধিপত্য ছিল, সকল ব্যবহারিক উদ্দেশ্যেই তিনি বাংলার নবাব ছিলেন।
