Modulok and the Horde 2-Pack are differentiated from the rest of the cartoon collection by a yellow line under their names on the check list. The cartoon collection all have red lines under their names. My guess is Modulok and the 2 pack are the only vintage Origins figures coming out outside of Mattel Creations.
Leech is absolutely accurate to the cartoon which had the light green skin tone. They actually got it wrong on the Masterverse POP version! Also Tri-Klops does actually have the 3 circles on his belt in Filmation, so that is accurate 😊
If you look closely at that Faker figure, you'll see that, beside the new headsculpt that sets him apart from the standard He-man, his boots are new too. They seem to be more cartoon accurate. They appear to be smoothened out, without those extra details on the boots that you would see on the regular He-man. So I might pick up extra Faker figures so I could give those boots to my regular He-man to make him more Filmation accurate.
Sketchbook collection could include sketches for the filmation cartoon as well, hence the inclusion, maybe? I'll be getting the Hordak and Grizzlor sketch pack either way, it looks cool, and I figure I'd just say they're Horde soldiers of some sort and put them with the rest of my origins Horde collection.
That sketch book series has got me pumped, I’m pretty sure that hairy figure is not a Grizzlor concept but a woolly mammoth concept character which I think eventually became Snout Spout. I hope they have actual names and characterisation rather than just remaining concepts.
I have canned collecting Star Wars (TVC, TBS) and G.I. Joe (Classified and the new “O” ring figures) and Marvel Legends (which I don’t get many of). I will solely collect Origins and the occasional Masterverse figures. These to me are the great toy range. I do love these figures. I think Tri-Klops is a bit of an error as the belts were all smooth with no buckles just the edging trim and Tri did have smooth boots all over. I think Leech is pretty good. I don’t mind the slightly lighter colour.
The faker Head sculpts will sell him. I'm Pushing more for the Horde 2 pack style coming out and I love the stranger things sets. Thats what I want MotU to be. More Heavy Metal Frazetta and Box Art style. I just collect all of the vintage and Cherry pick everything else. I also like ToG, very few of the cartoons but for some reason We get a ton of them where I live, and they go straight to 7$ at my Walmart so I have them all so far. I also have the MotWWEU and a lot of WWE superstars 5.5. Ill defiantly get She Ra and Frosta because I need more women, and I don't think they will do a vintage 5.5 PoP. That Modulock is an Origins definitely. I think they just put a bunch of new stuff together and wanted to show it all together. I wouldn't read into it that much. I bet they start a sketchbook line now because a lot of people were a fan of the mini comics and box art than they were the cartoon. These Sketchbook Series and Stranger Things Have a Heavy Metal 2000 feel to them and have a very 60 70s Retro fantasy look. The Cartoon ones have color pop and very clean. The ToG are allowing for Extreme Mashups. But I have to tell you they are making too many lines at once. I can't keep up so I will cherry pick then when they go Clerence I'll get the others.
