Great review Paul of a beautiful and very interesting car. Your summary at the end says it all. Most non FIAT folk are pleasantly surprised with just how good they are. That's absolutely fine , we don't want to let everyone in on the secret 👍
Just ask people. That's what I do! If they know you and you're a safe driver and you drive gently they usually don't mind. If they say no. Well fair enough. If you dont ask you don't get. My flatmate doesn't trust me to drive his 2006 Astra for some reason. 🤣 Another classic is to make it a favour. If someone needs their car moving say you'll do it or offer to take it for a little drive to keep the battery charged while they're on holiday. Obviously you have to know them well. I've driven loads of cars this way. If you're a real enthusiast it doesn't take long to get a feel for something. Oh and parents. I don't even ask.... 🤣🤣🤣
Oh how I wanted a Fiat Coupe back in the day. I thought they were stunning, the proportions are fabulous, the rear lights look like a 60s race car and the headlights look like a lady lying on her front on the beach. That body colour dash looked great in a world of black plastic dashboards and those glorious leather seats. I liked the blue, that’s probably the colour I’d have gone for but now I’ve seen this deep red this would be my choice. Oh I’d have given both of my lungs and my bile duct to have owned one. Fast forward to 2003, I was doing all right and my bank balance and lifestyle meant I could have an impractical 90s coupe so I bought a Honda Prelude 🤷♂️
Pininfarina Fiat Coupe, rare, powerful and amazing power. 16 valve turbo with the legendary lancia Delta Integrale engine or the 20 valve 5 cylinder turbo engine. Amazing Italian sports cars
Watched Tom rebuild this car. I’ve had 4 Fiat Coupe 20v turbos and I love them and am looking to get another one very soon, they are also my 20 year old lads favourite too and he loved my old one, might get two to have 1 each!!!
I owned a Tom Cat Coupe L reg back in 1999, 40,000 miles, nothing but trouble. Looked lovely in a deep metallic blue but cost me a fortune, it had a full service history as well.
I own a 20vt coupe, mine was also in the burgandy colour but i had it resprayed in the rs focus lime green which looks amazing! Incredible car with insane performance and by far the most beautiful looking car of the 90s and even today. By the way those slash lines down the side are a copy of paint been flicked off an artists brush, thats why they were added, very clever design
Great Mustard stylee review, waffle or not. What a cracking looking & rare Coupe & sounds the part with the 5 cylinder lump. The interior looks as stylish as the bodywork. Handling & sound more important than been quick, to me
One of the best hot hatches from the 80/90s I had a red tomcat and the fiat was a proper hot hatch especially the turbo version, the tomcat was pipe and slippers compared to the fiat that would be a well worn thong 😊
You've some neck pointing out the flaws in the coupe when the inside of most of your cars are like collapsed tents....🤣 The Audi coupe was the most famous 5 cylinder 4wd, you forgot that 🤗 Can you tell I'm a big FIAT fan...🤔
@@andrewthornton2562 and if it wasn't for FIAT, the Fiesta wouldn't even exist. Ford were struggling with the design and development as it was a whole world away from their archaic RWD cart sprung stuff, so they bought eight 127's and stripped them down to see how modern technology worked in a FWD compact hatchback. Nothing wrong with Fiestas , good little cars but ford twits need to remember it's thanks to FIAT they have them!
The start up and engine note sounds really mean and purposeful. Love it 😀
used to have one of those 27 years ago, never had a problem very good car.

Gorgeous car. Fun review. I wish people would fling the keys to cars like that at me!
Fancy doing some videos then?

Very entertaining video Mustard and I also like the colour-grading of the footage.

the best description i ever heard for the 5cyl noise like the fiat is "angry pigeon"
If your ever in Essex I have 300bhp Limited edition you can take to the red line 😊
i have a 400bhp plus ;)
@@5cylinder91have a 450hp 20v Turbo 😁

The red line in Interieur is painted Metal.
Okay thank you 🙂
yes. i can confirm this having had to replace my tachometer cluster recently. just a painted metal strip.
Yessss i loved the rover 220 turbo, wish id kept it. Paid £330 for it. Won in an ebay auction 😂
TOP
Pininfarina didn’t design the Fiat Coupe, they built them but didn’t design them.
the dash/door covers are metal
I'm on my 5th 20v
on my 2nd coupe. 20vt plus. 400bhp. moon grey colour.
My fiesta got 150 horse's baby and it's only 4 cylinder don't wee your self with excitement🏎👻
Bring to me then for review, snd I'll let you know if it's any good 😄
Yeah but it's a Fiesta. Did you not just watch that?
Ain't gonna sound like that though and every time you look at it you'll see that blue oval badge 🤮
But it looks just like a Fiesta, the Fiat Coupe looks special inside and out, and is special to drive. As regards bhp, remember this is a 1990s car.

FIAT Coupe or Alfa GTV?
That's the dilemma, so I didn't buy either....
Still looking, don't hold your breath, life gets in the way
Easy, Fiat Coupe. First 12 inches of the GTV are stunning, the remainder is awful.
20 Valves.....Dats a lotta Valves. Project Guido 🍕 🧄 🍅🥩🍖🌶️🥒🥕🥬?? 👍.
