Must be frustrating, especially given that he's otherwise rather musical. Centuries of practice did nothing to improve it at all... I suppose even he can't be a genius at everything. Also, he's oddly cute when slighty discouraged. Aaand the Master, with his phonecalls and hilarious methods of casually murdering underlings XD Love the Master XD

I will say the new series has dropped off in quality in the last few seasons. It’s not Capaldi’s fault, nor Whitaker’s; they did the best they could with what they were given. But the writing simply hasn’t been up to scratch since Moffat left.

Also while I'll agree that Whittakers era hasn't been good (definitely my least favorite period of the show in all its history) i dont get why so many are acting as if the show was so great under Moffat nowadays when he used to get so much criticism back when he was showrunner. He's way better than chibnall, but he also wrote death in heaven, hell bent, quite a few dull episodes in series 7, the awful characterisation of the 1st Doctor in twice upon a time, etc. The show may be at its lowest point, but its been very inconsistent for years now.

Like seriously if anyone else pulled this I feel like the guy would just tell him to piss off and come back with a pass but Pertwee plays it so well that you just wouldn't dare refuse him. When Pertwee's Doctor was on screen he owned every minute of it. It's all raw strength and power that you would expect from a guy who's won a thousand battles and has lived for hundreds of years.. Hartnell, Baker, Eccleston and Tennant had it too but Pertwee was the master of it all. Whitaker's Doctor feels like a background character and when she tries stiff like this she sounds like a kid having a tantrum..

The clips that kept transitioning back and forth from B&W to color (beginning around 6:00), those were from "The Ambassadors of Death". I'm sure you know that many Doctor Who episodes from the 1960s and 1970s (first three Doctors) were junked, or otherwise only retained as B&W film prints. The Ambassadors of Death was one of them. Only Episode 1 was retained on its original color videotape (and was, in fact, the earliest Doctor Who episode overall to survive in its original videotaped format). For the other 6 episodes, there were B&W prints and an off-air recording made in the U.S. in the 1970s (which, while mostly in color, suffered from periodic bursts of color distortions). So, the usable color sections were intercut with the B&W prints to make the copies released on VHS in the early 2000s (which appears to be the source of your copy).
At 2:29 that's the producer's cameo in the story. The Unit Parking guard, who the Doctor never gives the chance to answer him, is played by the Producer of "Spearhead From Space", Derrick Sherwin. A very nice, subtle production cameo there.
The 3rd Doctor is my Doctor, though I do adore 4,5, and 11. I just don't know what it is about the 3rd Doctor that I love so much (perhaps it was because he was more of a James Bond type, more distinctive and very philosophical, he was an action man and drove around in a sports car and a bit of a dandy but I digress.) and Sarah Jane Smith. She fit with Tom Baker's Doctor just as well she did the 3rd. Unlike Clara,with Capaldi, she just seems, out of place.

Jon Pertwee was my favourite Doctor as a kid - and the "Spearhead from Space" Autons were the only DW monster that I was actually afraid of (apart from the giant maggots in "The Green Death" >_> ). That scene of them breaking out of the shop window scared the hell out of me, and I remember as a little kid always feeling a little uneasy everytime we had to park the car in front of a shop with dummy's like that in the windows, just in case they came alive like the Autons in Doctor Who. :P
From 2:55-3:05, very charming and funny. 12's eyebrows can open bottle tops, 3's can procure a 😆...or 2, or 12. Now we know where 12 got his inspiration for his impeccable dress sense...and the eyebrows too. I should really look into Pertwee's Tenure at some point. Great videos showcasing the 3rd Doctor.
The true beginning of the long-standing Regeneration episodes cracking everyone up let's be honest some of my favorite episodes is when he's falling off of stuff, is pretty much scrambled in the head, and people going "who are you?" and he responds with "you know it's funny, but I was just asking myself the same question?"
If you spot the snake tattoo on thirdy's arm he's been tagged by the Time Lords as a renegade Time Lord. The renegade Time Lords wear that tattoo as a symbol of pride as as a symbol of their rebellion/dislike against the regular slow and drag of Time Lord life. Even The Master and The Rani have thsr tattoo somewhere on them, just like the Doctor.
Of course, the real world reason is that in his Navy days, Pertwee got blackout drunk and got a tattoo of a snake with his then-girlfriend's initials. She's now been immortalised as a tattooed snake symbol of rebellion against the High Council of the Time Lords.
"I had nothing but these clothes. Oh my goodness." He's not as fast as Troughton, who could turn 3 sentences into 1 without drawing breath, but Pertwee still transitioned between those 2 sentences in a very Doctor-like way.
I guess the effects are humourous now with all the CGI and stuff movies have, but I don't think the Autons coming to laugh at 4:20 is humourous. It was SCARY as a kid. A lot of episodes from the first second and third doctor where destroyed, but alot of people made black and white copies of the third doctor episodes which where later coloured.

At 6:11 the reason why it went between colour and black and white is because for many years the colour prints of Ambassadors of Death didn't exist until it was digitally restored .

I found it funny because he seems to be so attached to his shoes when he first wakes up. It was a "shtick" that the Doctor hid the TARDIS key inside one of his shoes. Later on in the episode, Pertwee takes it out of one of his shoes -- that's why he wanted them so bad. In Tom Baker's first episode, he had it hidden in one of his shoes before he tried to run away in the TARDIS. The shtick ended in Tom Baker's era, as he started to carry the key on a long neckchain -- you can clearly see it as part of his costume.
