My advise to anyone thinking of quitting is to not even bother trying until you truly believe you are ready and really want to, it will not work otherwise. I was smoking around the same amount of time, I part quit (if that's a thing) for about a year and a half or so, I was still smoking weed every now and again just because I like it, I was not tempted to smoke cigs or baccy between. I've not had any weed either now since the christmas period.
What is your sprocket setup on your gsxr? I have the same bike and was wondering what you’re running teeth wise. I plan on upgrading but not sure what to get.

About the clutch start thing, i have a -14 Striple. Theres a button on the left clutch housing thingy that should get pushed in by the clutch lever itself. I had ky button kinda move once which gave me the same problem. I noticed it within a few minutes though. Maybe take a look and see if the lever hits the button correctly. Ig you could otherwise glue it together but yea.

DELINQUENT there is the kickstand, the clutch and the neutral switch and atleast two of these have to be on the good side for the bike to start, if i remember correctly.but could also mix it up with my previous bike. if you have the bike turned of and press the clutch and you hear this fine clicking, this switch is fine, if it isnt you can get one from triumph for 20 buks or so. its a really easy install. had this issue with mine last year. the neutral sensor is fine because otherwise it wouldnt show up on the gage either. kickstand could also be broken but never had this issue and therefor dont know the best way to check^^
I bypassed my clutch position switch on my street triple with the dyno jet two map switch and zip tied it on. I put an RSC clutch lever and just cut the wires and soldered in the dyno jet switch, not the cheapest but it's weatherproof I think.

Have them check for water in the tank. Did this bike sit for a while? Gas breaks down super fast with ethenol nowdays. Especially California mix has very high water concentration.

I know 4 people with Triumph 1050's and all of them had problems with clutch/ignition at some point. It's British thing, Japanese bikes don't seem to suffer from this to this extend. Sometimes it's just dirt stuck in the switch near lever. Take it apart and clean.
The start button might have some corrosion on the inside where the ignition happens. It happened to me on my S3. I had to open the thing, scrape it with some fine sandpaper and then spray some of that ignition spray on it
Be careful, bypassing some safety interlocks can throw codes. Worth a shot, but don't be surprised if you gotta bring it into the shop to have them remove the code. A lot of the time the bike thinks its a faulty sensor/switch and that's why it will throw a code.
It may be that the clutch lever is too thick and not allowing the clutch switch to come out completely. If thats the case just sand down the part of the lever that contacts the switch and you should be good
preach. my friend is an EMT and he works crappy hours and makes nothing. he is still actually living with his parents because he can afford to live on his on in California.
The two wires that go to the clutch switch (presuming it's got two) cut the connectors and solder them together. Should trick the bike to think the clutch is always pulled in 👍👍

The aftermarket leavers fuck with that starter switch when I adjusted it too close to my bar and it wouldn't register had to turn them back in to be farther away from the bars
My suzuki has aftermarket shorty levers which wont engage the ignition switch in the clutch so I know what you are going through. I ended up just taking the switch out and taping it so it is always on haha
You have a gummed up switch somewhere brudda....HATE HATE HATE electrical issues man....they simply SUCK!! Riding a bike you cant trust 100% is such a broke program! That Korean BBQ looked GOOD!! I had it for the first time at a true bbq place like that a few moths ago when I was in Singapore/Kuala Lumpur (I cant remember the exact restaurant..LOL) Good Stuff makingit yourself at the table!

I would check the kickstand kill switch had that problem with the hayabusa. If not that it is probably your starter. The shop will know for sure but can always check the kill switch while you have it. If it is then easy fix and less to pay the shop. Hope you get the beast back soon since you seem to have more fun on that and it takes it. :P ps... surprised your wife dont care you hang with all these hot women lol You got a keeper there.

Ah man, reminds me of my old speed triple. Check the clutch sensor, the kickstand sensor, and add the stoltec battery cables.

I had a similar issue on my FZ, I thought it was a sensor, then I looked for a relay and at the end it was just the battery hehe.

I'll bet the micro switch in the clutch lever has seized up. Happened to my Triumph
