If you haven't seen Big Thief live you will be in for a real treat. Adrianne Lenker is a force of nature; a young woman possessed by a powerful passion for her craft. Her voice filled with the raw emotion and life, and a band that provide that life sustenance, is something special to behold; a perfect circle. The words and music of "Masterpiece" will bring a tear to any who choose to cast an observant eye her direction and offer her a music a fine-tuned ear. Effing brilliant.
"What day is it?"
"It's today", squeaked Piglet.
"My favorite day", said Pooh.
Solo reminds of something out of the Ira Kaplan playbook. Love it.
I enjoy their live attacks of this song over the more subtle album version
That’s some of the oddest looking rhythm guitar playing I’ve ever seen (from the guy on the Gibson). Great song.
Buck is a freak
Not a Gibson...Collings and it is beautiful.
I like the way Christine loses her French accent to play this part and refrains from dancing,
Wtf... this is not Christine and the Queens it's Big Thief
