These hymns are "oldies, but goodies" that, sadly, aren't sung in many churches any longer. Their melodies may be worn, but the words have have a depth of meaning that many, more contemporary songs, seem to lack these days. Thank you for providing texts so we can sing along with you!
There is lots of lovely hymns we sang years ago that aren’t sung today. They use contemporary songs. It is true God will take of us in every situation. I just love listening to them on You tube. Our wonderful and precious God today has helped me through a situation which was very confronting but I got through it.
Thank you for singing this hymn, reminded me of my primary school days. We used to sing it at Assembly and then pray the Lord's prayer. God bless you All.
It's perfect song which God'promises according to Psalms 91 chapter.and some verses from 121 Psalms . He will never leave us.He is unchageing God. He is Alpha and Omega.Glory to God. Glory in the highest. Amen
Thank You Lord for bringing this song to my heart this morning, was able to find it on RUclips and beautifully rendered by the church, reminded me of secondary school days in the 60s thank God for all the missionary teachers who taught us so many of such hymns, the Lord bless their families, keep on harvesting the good rewards of their labors in Jesus Name
Was going off to bed and just started singing this song. Truly haven't heard it in a while. It just popped out of no where. I then decided to search RUclips for it. I'm so blessed by this song
1 O safe to the Rock that is higher than I, My soul in its conflicts and sorrows would fly. So sinful, so weary, Thine, Thine would I be; Thou blest Rock of Ages, I'm hiding in Thee. Chorus: Hiding in Thee, Hiding in Thee, Thou blest Rock of Ages, I'm hiding in Thee. 2 In the calm of the noontide, in sorrow's lone hour, In times when temptation casts o'er me its power, In the tempests of life, on its wide, heaving sea, Thou blest Rock of Ages, I'm hiding in Thee. [Chorus] 3 How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe, I have fled to my Refuge and breathed out my woe. How often when trials like sea billows roll Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul. [Chorus]
O safe to the Rock that is higher than I, My soul in its conflicts and sorrows would fly. So sinful, so weary, Thine, Thine would I be; Thou blest Rock of Ages, I'm hiding in Thee. Refrain: Hiding in Thee, Hiding in Thee, Thou blest Rock of Ages, I'm hiding in Thee. In the calm of the noontide, in sorrow's lone hour, In times when temptation casts o'er me its power, In the tempests of life, on its wide, heaving sea, Thou blest Rock of Ages, I'm hiding in Thee. (Refrain) How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe, I have fled to my Refuge and breathed out my woe. How often when trials like sea billows roll Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul. (Refrain)
It's magherafelt free presbyterian church, i livestream it every Sunday. Absolutely excellent ministry. It's keeping me going in the deepest, darkest rural France!
