sesame oil is my new favorite thing. i bought some to make a tofu marinade. now i use it to make fried eggs and to fry mushrooms before i put them in with noodle soup. i find that if i put my induction cooktop at '2' it will never smoke but will fry anything just fine. oh, and chicken. yum!
Thank you. I struggle not to add to much sesame oil! I am going to have to try different poring containers. I usually end up adding way to much and it over powers other seasonings and flavors.
Man I wish this video came out years ago. I have made mane mistakes using sesame oil. I seem to prefer black sesame oil for fried rice and raman but, go for a toasted sesame oil for vegetables.
Anyone who is not familiar with cooking with sesame oil: this one is toasted or roasted. As shown in the video, it is a brown or light brown colour. Remember that when you go to buy it. It is also possible to buy sesame oil that hasn't been roasted. It will not have the same flavour. It will have very little flavour. The clearer, un-toasted one is frying and for salad dressing.
Love the flavour of toasted sesame oil. Very tasty in small amounts.

Note: Putting the sesame oil into a plastic squeeze bottle did allow me to control the amount of oil I apply.
I like the longer videos Mr. Tak. I could listen to you talk about cooking all day.
