That’s what I find so interesting, Hosea at the start of the game is in the same predicament of Arthur when he finds out he has TB. He knows he doesn’t have long left and just wants to make sure people are safe before he goes
@@JamesJJSMilton I don't necessarily think Arthur gave his wisdom to John. John was raised by Hosea and Dutch too. He had it all along. But once he left the gang and started caring more for his family, that's when he started spreading wisdom to jack.
Arthur wisdom came from had Tb and knowing his life will short and wants his gang run from dutch plans. If he didnt had his life will micah killed and run with his spouse.
They have similar roles, Hosea is the advisor to the king (Dutch), and Uncle is the jester. Jesters and advisors both get to criticize the king, jesters get to mock them, and advisors get to form them, but they’re the only men in the kingdom who get to make the king look bad and keep their heads.
Tbf Hosea never liked either of them anyways. Bill even tried to apologize to him for being disrespectful but Hosea shot down his apology so it’s no wonder Bill didn’t care as much he was never really given a chance at Hosea liking him. @Jaeger19Ultima We don’t know if his drinking got him kicked out. His only reasons according to his papers are deviancy and attempted murder. Some ppl interpret deviancy for being gay but judging Bills sadistic and violent personality (like his weird fetish with cutting Kieran’s balls off) it’s more likely he was disobeying his superiors and got violent with one of them in a fit of rage. He drank heavily after getting kicked out and once he joined up with the gang he got berated and blamed for even the littlest things going wrong which enabled him to drink even more. Hosea just never liked Bill and never really wanted to give him a chance, then again Hosea also didn’t like Lenny that much either until Lenny started working above and beyond for Hosea to notice his worth.
