Well I’ll be dammed! Years ago an old friend used to decky on a prawn trawler in the Gulf and he spoke of 90% bi catch. This catch would be lucky to be 3% bi catch. That destroyed the myth I had about the prawn trawlers on the Hawkesbury. By the way Aaron, I christened the prawn lures this morning. No show stoppers but a fun catch of just undersized (& so close to legal that I won’t risk it) bream n flathead, plus a pair of keeper lizards. Yeah, I’m happy with em. Windsor Bait And Tackle Sweet! Funny thing I noticed was the chocolate coloured lures got heaps more hits than the ‘natural colour’. Could be the silhouette factor or it could be what’s in vogue at the moment under water. As always with fishing tomorrow could be completely different. Nice to hear you like them.

I still say our rivers and esteries would be better off without trawlers , get on some other trawlers and see the bi catch they destroy .
It's not just the trawlers that get bi catch just have think about the amount of recreational bi catch
