I live in a border town, moved here to take care of my Grandmother and now my Uncle and Mother-in-law. We are a 1 income (Soc. Sec) family and we get no help, no medical, no food assistance, because we make too much money( about $2000 a month for over 40 years of work in the U.S.)!!!! Asylum seekers must be in the U.S. or at a port of entry (an airport or an official land crossing) to request the opportunity to apply for asylum. There's no way to ask for a visa or any type of authorization in advance for the purpose of seeking asylum.

Sec) family and we get no help, no medical, no food assistance, because we make too much money( about $2000 a month for over 40 years of work in the U.S.)!!!! The stores have been packed for months with people, and the prices are sky rocketing, not just from inflation, but theft. The more that folks steal, the higher others pay!!!

Asylum seekers must be in the U.S. or at a port of entry (an airport or an official land crossing) to request the opportunity to apply for asylum. There's no way to ask for a visa or any type of authorization in advance for the purpose of seeking asylum.
