I think you were the only CC I saw that called Wixwell for what I now realize he became - an Intercept bait on a mixed-philosophies champion with a confused and redundant skill set. To those who are thinking "I can empower my Clan Boss champions as long as they don't get a speed boost", changing DEF and HP values can throw off stun targetting.

@@biljancanin You could be thrown off if you're not in sync. A lot of teams rely on controlling the first stun before you're in sync. Not only that, lots of teams rely on the Demytha/Heiress comp in which Heiress cleanses the stun, not using a block debuffs cgampion. Having her take the first stun because you messed with some HP and DEF values will throw the whole speed tune off.
Hence why the chose a non speed tuned CB team. Never have to worry about that scenario.

Faction Guardian completion is one of the first questions I ask my clan mates when they all of a sudden have issues with their CB tunes, and now empowerment will be lumped in with that.
Empowering also brings down the tier of gear people need, I agree for whales and krakens empowering some of these may be useless but for those struggling with tier for speed / hp / attack etc it’s well worth it.

No doubt. A little more HP and def is always good on your suishy damage builds.

I mean royal guards damage can still go up.. his a2 is based off attack not maxed HP. It’s not meant as a crazy damage skill but it does scale the more you got… so he in fact does do more damages the more dupes..

In the long run everybody enpower what works best for you, don't let other people tell you how to play the game that you're enjoying, if that be the case then they might as well play the game for you
Another one i would add is seer, empowering her would add a ton of more survivability and if your stat is to let her die at the end then it might be not that good
Royal guard is pretty squishy. Empowering him shouldn't be about making him hit harder. It should be about making him live longer.
I have a shamael built, and another one in reserve. The one I have built for hydra, doesn't do what I want. I watched a guide that said "Make him slow, give him 500 RES". I shouldn't have to worry about having one of the heads stealing all the buffs from 1 of my champs, but he still does.
It’s very hard to make him the mischief tank but if so you want him to have a blood shield accessory. I would just build him for damage though.
@@MtgJedi If I do that, it just gets overwritten by other champs placing shield buffs. Other champs get shields too, so he ends up having the same amount of buffs.
Build him for damage in a poison set. He's great to counter the fear head.
@@30m3 Then I just move the role of mischief tank to another champ. Meanwhile Shamael will start doing damage on single targets...
Thank you very much mtgjedi for calling out the need to fix the Acelin passive to work on hydra! Really glad you touched on that subject, wish the other ccs would jump on this wagon too, i would love to not be forced to use shamael as my only option to deal with the fear head! ✌
Go ahead and empower them. If you have set ups you can alter them after. You don't need to run clan boss calculated teams unkillable was never better for me.
Just do fusions get the right gear progress and choose the right champs.
Royal Guard is perfect to empower. He has really low HP and defense and needs the survivability
This video is a good callout for being cautious on Epic empowerment! I hadn't even considered the enemy max HP damage champions are probably less likely to be good options for empowerment. Good job for making people aware of who they should consider not empowering. 👍
I plan on rebuilding most of my soon to be empowered epics. Gear cleanse too

Thoughtful video. If the Preset Artifact sets are loadouts that allow free gear swapping, then I don't see as much reason to keep two Geomancers.
I would think of empowering some of my DPS champs to make them more durable, not get more DPS from them. As some are a bit squishy. Royal Guard is Squishy McSquishy face on my account. Been a while since I build him. He could probably use a rebuild.
My problem with Royal Guard is that in hydra he always dies with the wrath head out. I have 8 extras so I am just going to plus 4 just to see if he will be more useful in a full auto team.

Awesome info video MTG. I disagree with empowering the enemy MAX HP champs because you can take away any God like gear that they have and give it to some one else if royal guard is hitting the max hp already
so glad I have 3 fully maxed Shamael. I'll empower one of them fully pretty soon
I gotta go look but I think I have 8 Uugos. Some champs are hard to get and I just couldn't crunch them. That's why I have 6 Deacon Armstrongs, 8 Demythas and 12 Seekers. There are more but these are some of the best examples

@@MtgJedi I have a bunch of other accounts and these were champs that were so difficult to get on the other accounts. For example, one of my sons' accounts just got Uugo a few months ago for the first time and the account is 3 years old

Everyone should empower all epics that they use so they can then hire MtgJedi to rebuild the teams. lol
For the most part, I agree. Don't touch faction guardians, unless you have champs to swap them with and don't empower speed tuned teams, unless willing to regear them or hire MtgJedi.
I would 100% suggest keeping an eye out for empowering any champs you use though. Even if they don't help out with damage, it would likely help out with survivability, RES, and ACC. I'm just assuming though, since I've never empowered anyone before. It'll all depend on the stats changed with the empowering.
How much of a bonus boost does empowering give a character?
for leggos, the first +1 is 10% boost to Def, HP & Atk with +15 to acc and res. The +2 adds to all of those, but also CR, CD & speed as well. And it keeps going up for +3 & +4. I would suspect the epic stats to be 75% increase of that for leggos. We'll see though, no one knows how much it'll boost stats yet.

Heyas Jedi, even though it's not listed on the roadmap, could you see the Raid developers revamping the Token Trader? This is assuming of course that sacrificing epics generates the same(or different) currency. Just food for thought.
We ask them so often about this but they’ve never shown any interest in changing it.

Orn will probably be temporary in your cb team so keep that in mind

You do realize that you need less gear if you empower someone like Royal Guard. Especially him i would suggest empowering. Extra hp, def, crit rate, acc, res, speed. The only thing he won't benefit from is the crit damage since it's kapped in most content. So it's bogus. Every champ should be empowered if possible
@@biljancanin getting the crit damage is actually also nice since it makes it easier to crit cap him and those stat rolls could go in to different stats, it just makes it easier to hit the requirements and allows for a build that makes him a lot more survivable.
Don't empower unless you have more than the number next to the name unless you're past the point of using duplicates or even a single copy.

This is obviously just my opinion But each of these champs are important in more than one place and in more than one build, now you may have replacement Lego's that do a better job or a team already built that doesn't need them. But for an easy example how many of you have heard of speed running Ice Golem hard with a block debuff champ, A block damage champ and three nukers? Demytha is amazing in more places than just clan boss as are all these champs that get box into one area for being the best in that area.
I'll be empowering all the garbage epics I pull on a constant basis. Maybe then they will be viable. Maybe not...

I disagree on the don’t empower list. If it makes them more survivable and especially with someone like Uggo who has the team revive but only if she is the last one standing.
The main point was keeping dupes to build a second copy. Past that, no issues
@@MtgJedi I get that but I think earlier on they don’t do you much good if they keep dying and later on you have, typically, more options. I have dupes of all of the ones you mentioned but use none of them. I meant to but they just don’t slot in well.

Im not really getting this video. Don't empower epics? Why? If it doesn't break your faction guardians and set teams like cb, then YES, empower everything you can. Every stat you get with empowering is less gear required. More of literally every stat, so yeah, unless they are guardians or, at a specific speed, empower all of them
So his (good) point, as I expected, was that 2 copies is better than empowerment for many epics.

Just pulled dupe Uugo excited to build a second one. But Lucky? Not me i pulled 193 Fing shards to have my third Drex pop out who is a buyable champion. Im missing like half the legardariea in the game. Im done ever pulling ancients again they will just sit on my account. F Em. Thank you for another reason to quit game. Some accounts are blessed i got nothing. Iv been playing 4 years and in less than 6 months i have more legos on my WoR account than here

Massively exaggerated title.. this obvious advice only helps new players who are clueless to the games mechanics..
Every epic should be empowered if you actually have the capability to do so, provided you understand how it will affect certain areas of the game.. which should be the case for every player who is mid game and above.
Enemy max hp champs still benefit from being empowered, most people use them in hydra these days.. why would I not want more survivability and accuracy on a husk or royal guard? Also they don't just use the enemy max hp skill over and over.. they're on 4 turn cooldown if we disregard gear sets because not everyone can build them in reflex or similar cooldown reducing sets so extra damage on the other 3 turns is still good.
I understand where you're coming from but as I said it's massively exaggerated advice which only really applies to new players.
Agreed, kinda assumes perfect world scenarios where Dec Def and Weaken are always up and that Max HP hit is ready to go, but it doesn't always line up like that does it? Empowerment will help every epic you use, just need to beware of any speed tunes being effected and regear accordingly. Speed tunes and making sure you have enough "original" copies for the content you tackle is all the warning needed. 3 Shamael's is what I have and that game count will stay the same and only extra copies from now on will be used for empowerment. Besides empowerment from the map looks like Thanksgiving or Christmas time before it becomes a factor anyway.
