Truly one of the five best rock songs ever written and composed, a song that came out near the day i was born, and i'll never get tired of hearing/listening/jamming out to :)
There are moments in your life when the past comes to you so real that you actually feel like you are there again. I was in Boston Bay when I heard Brad Delp voice singing this song! I lost myself in that song....one of the best songs ever!
The crazy thing is even though I was born in 1992 songs like this bring me back to that era as if I was there. Like it awakens a long forgotten memory.
The first time I heard this song was in 1986, yeh I know, I'd been living in a dark hole before that; I was smitten, blasted, smashed to the floor in utter amazement. WOW! You know what? I still feel the same today whenever I hear it. Guitar, Vocals ... everything about this song is totally unbelievable.
I'm only in high school now and I'm almost crying to this. Who knows how bittersweet this will be in 30, 40, 50 years, or maybe even longer from now...
I got this album when it came out. Now I'm 65 and don't know how I got here. It goes so fast. But I can go back in time when I listen to the old songs they used to play. Stay true to yourself. It'll be over before you know it. Peace
Back in 1987 I was working at a small factory. Somebody scored an 8 track player at a yard sale, and this was on the only 8 track anyone head. From my machine I could only half hear it, but every hour or so this song would play. Takes me back every time. Crap job, but to be that young again...
Oh, the memories! Going to Maiden Springs with a car load of friends with this song blasting so loud! Its sad to say all those friends are no longer here. RIP my friends.
Omg. If you've ever seen this band in concert, you'll have a memory for a lifetime. Saw them in 2009 outdoors. Mammoth amplifiers all over the stage. We stood on our feet for the whole concert. One of the best and I've been to a lot of concerts. This band is forever etched in my memories and these great classic rock hits. Sad about the lead singer. The concert we saw was just after his passing. The guy who replaced him sounded just like Brad. Love me some Boston. Crank it up!
So many people have come and gone - but Boston's music, like the game, remains! I'm 67, too! We live in such weird times, we can't rule anything out can we? I've heard a lot of people say: Before the dawn, comes the dark....! Hello, from me! Anything else is fatal, barring a miracle. That's really not very fair at all, seeing I did nothing, nor my picture (no power, intelligence or intent). I am an innocent man. (an out-patient of the QCH for more than 30 years if you doubt what I said).
" More than a feeling " Boston ! I love this song ! Great melody, great lyrics ( but it sounds like a sad story : " I see my Marianne walking away " ), great voice ! Thank you Boston ! I love F forever ! ❤❤ !
My sister told me I needed to listen to this album she bought. I told her it better be good don't be wasting my time. It was more than good. It blew me away. Brad Delp was amazing.
This was a special song between my little brother Mike and me. It's how he helped me through a very rough spot as a teenager. Mike passed away 3 days ago and it's taken on an even more special meaning for me. Rest in peace little brother.
I let the love of my life walk away. So many what-ifs played in my head even today. I never truly knew what I had until it was too late. I miss her so much. I wish I would have put a ring on it. I took for granted something so fucking awesome. I would give anything to have one more chance with her. All I can really say is that I hope she is happy and living life to the fullest. She deserves nothing but the very best. I hope she is being treated like a queen. Her last text to me stated she found the love of her life and that nothing will ever change that. Here I am 42 years old and really now just starting to understand what a broken heart feels like. I have so much love for her and the feeling that I will never ever again feel her embrace just saddens me like no other. If you are with someone you care deeply about, please take my advice. Hold on to them tight and show them how much you appreciate them. Especially the small things because they are the most important. Let them know how much you love them and make them feel like there is no one else that even comes close to how awesome they are. Don't make the mistakes I did. My ex felt ignored. She felt like she didn't matter anymore. I can't express how frustrating it is wanting nothing more in the world to be with the one person you love more than anything and never again will I ever get that chance. I never woke up to her practically begging for my attention. I was a fool. Love truly is the most painful fucking thing I have ever had to deal with. People throw the word love out way too much. No one really know what love is until it is gone.

My best friend died 5 years ago of a brain aneurysm and one day a few weeks after she died, I asked her to show me a sign that she was still with me in spirit and this song began playing on my car radio...I knew it was from her because I got goosebumps and the hairs on my arms stood straight up...when I got home I googled the lyrics and I knew 100% it was a sign from her...she had the surgery to fix the leaky vein in her head but died on the operating table...though she told her children she would see them soon fully expecting to wake up at the end...the lyrics of this song "I closed my eyes, and I slipped away" tells that story, that she went to sleep but then slipped away (died) and also the name "Marianne" in the song resembles my name which begins with M. Very sentimental for me ❤

Wow!!!!! A wonderful song!
I’m here listening after watching inside out 2!!!! I love it!
