Hi Mary Ann I am also one of the few Marianne’s around. Well I was all the way through elementary and Jr High School. Met my husband who had a mother named Mary Ann who was called Mary and his sister Mary Ann who was called Mary Ann so not as to confuse things. Then I came along. My husband would refer to his sister as our Mary Ann and to me as my Marianne. It’s a beautiful name chosen by my father and I have always cherished it as he chose it for me.

On the release of this song in August of 1976, I had just finished high school final exams and waited for university admission. In suspense, I got my feelings soaked in this evergreen song. Through university were Boston, Kansas, Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Iron Maiden, Rush, Peter Frampton, Black Sabbath, Queen and all the like.

Omg. If you've ever seen this band in concert, you'll have a memory for a lifetime. Saw them in 2009 outdoors. Mammoth amplifiers all over the stage. We stood on our feet for the whole concert. One of the best and I've been to a lot of concerts. This band is forever etched in my memories and these great classic rock hits. Sad about the lead singer. The concert we saw was just after his passing. The guy who replaced him sounded just like Brad. Love me some Boston. Crank it up!

So many people have come and gone - but Boston's music, like the game, remains! I'm 67, too! We live in such weird times, we can't rule anything out can we? I've heard a lot of people say: Before the dawn, comes the dark....! Hello, from me! Anything else is fatal, barring a miracle. That's really not very fair at all, seeing I did nothing, nor my picture (no power, intelligence or intent). I am an innocent man. (an out-patient of the QCH for more than 30 years if you doubt what I said).

I let the love of my life walk away. So many what-ifs played in my head even today. I never truly knew what I had until it was too late. I miss her so much. I wish I would have put a ring on it. I took for granted something so fucking awesome. I would give anything to have one more chance with her. All I can really say is that I hope she is happy and living life to the fullest. She deserves nothing but the very best. I hope she is being treated like a queen. Her last text to me stated she found the love of her life and that nothing will ever change that. Here I am 42 years old and really now just starting to understand what a broken heart feels like. I have so much love for her and the feeling that I will never ever again feel her embrace just saddens me like no other. If you are with someone you care deeply about, please take my advice. Hold on to them tight and show them how much you appreciate them. Especially the small things because they are the most important. Let them know how much you love them and make them feel like there is no one else that even comes close to how awesome they are. Don't make the mistakes I did. My ex felt ignored. She felt like she didn't matter anymore. I can't express how frustrating it is wanting nothing more in the world to be with the one person you love more than anything and never again will I ever get that chance. I never woke up to her practically begging for my attention. I was a fool. Love truly is the most painful fucking thing I have ever had to deal with. People throw the word love out way too much. No one really know what love is until it is gone.

Back in the day...before voices could be digitally altered, finessed and tweaked!!!!
Brad Delp is the only singer in this song...one singer, every note, every harmony.
PURE UNADULTERATED TALENT IN THAT MAN!!!

@@sunnyadams5842 ,..bro :) I had read this book - " The Cacher in the Rye" - many years ago, and on my channel I started to repost a variety of dreams and visions that people have been having about the coming of Jesus and about the Rapture, tribulations etc. So..I decided to use this handle (nickname) because the message of that book in the end is about the dream job that the main character (Holden) wished for. He wanted to be a catcher in a field of rye, to protect all the "children" from falling over the edge of the cliff. To me this meaning is about trying to spread the word of God to prevent all the God's children from falling away from God...So, I spread the videos of those who have dreams about Jesus and about the soon forthcoming Rapture (Harpazo) described in the Bible. :) I'm glad you asked , especially because you seek the Lord daily. He is coming soon brother !!! Praise the King !✝🕎✡💥🙏

The Rapture isn't Biblical. Your listening to false prophets. I for one will wait for the true Christ, and not be "Raptured" by the antichrist. It's a made up concept by a mentally ill Margret McDonald in 1800's , of a dream she had, and preachers ran with it.

My best friend died 5 years ago of a brain aneurysm and one day a few weeks after she died, I asked her to show me a sign that she was still with me in spirit and this song began playing on my car radio...I knew it was from her because I got goosebumps and the hairs on my arms stood straight up...when I got home I googled the lyrics and I knew 100% it was a sign from her...she had the surgery to fix the leaky vein in her head but died on the operating table...though she told her children she would see them soon fully expecting to wake up at the end...the lyrics of this song "I closed my eyes, and I slipped away" tells that story, that she went to sleep but then slipped away (died) and also the name "Marianne" in the song resembles my name which begins with M.
    Very sentimental for me ❤
