Fabulous tree and great work! You continue to amaze me with your skill. I appreciate your insight and creativity too. Well thanks again for sharing, Phil
very nice tree and work. informative and entertaining. short and not boring. I would just move a little to the left or right with your stand, being so close to that palm tree, it's hard to see the tree. even though the fence's color is the same, at least farther back, there's depth and separation of view. steve.
I know you did this a year ago, so I hope you still get notified. Very nice looking tree. You're doing a great job. One question on where you cut the big branch off. Have you thought of making a concave cut into the stub so that the healing will be more flush and not bulge out? Btw, your explanations and info are clear and concise, great for beginners and experienced, good job! 😎🌳👍
Hei. I would like to have this tree. I love the leaves. Its so amazing. Since I live in Norway it's impossible to find it here, that's true for every nursery in Europe. Non of them can source it for me :( do you think a rooted cutting thats vacuum pack with some moisten cotton would survived the journey over here? If it was sent with FedEx, express? Is this something you guys can do?
Hi Jerome! Nice job mate, I was wandering: What do you think about lowering a bit the Ichi-no-eda and pulling as well towards the viewer? I think in that way you open the space so you have to orientate the deeper one one the back downwards. The aim is to you give to the tree more three-dimensionality is possible in my view! Have a nice time! Good job!
in zone 5. i find as long as its healthy its workable to prune repot and style. or imjust vary lucky.. why cant i get my cuttings to root? these and fukien teas i just cant propigate.tried for years and im not clueless. i wont give up... but damn evry temp sway defoliates me. the great lakes are a love hate thing lol

I just love watching you transform a tree into what you really want and how it will look eventually!!!
A majestic tree in miniature! A very successful bonsai!

I love that you needed a nap in the middle of the defoliating. 😀

in what season you recommend to do the defoliating?, or the best time of the year
Hey Jorge! Thank you :) In my zone, I can defoliate pretty much all year as long as the night temperatures are staying above 65

When do these trees start budding and getting leaves? I have one and it still hasn't put out leaves yet.
