After more than 20 visits to The Louvre and some research on the internet, I learned something, right? Something I liked about this museum was the opportunity I had to visit it several times, specially during the evening opening hours on Wednesdays and Fridays. I learned a lot about Universal History and specially French history! Now I know more about The Renaissance, the Franco - Prussian war, Denis Diderot, the Egyptian civilization, Napoleon I, Napoleon III, etc. In addition, visiting the Louvre taught me to prepare my visit to other museums, like the MNAN in Napoli, Archaeological Museum in Athens (and admire the Poseidon of Milo), the Kunthistorisches Museum and the Naturhistorisches Museum in Vienna, Museo del Prado in Madrid, among others. Due to Covid-19 crisis, I think I won't be able to visit the Louvre once again in 2020 and my pass is going to expire in the weeks to come, but I'll visit others museums when possible with a wider background and I'll enjoy those visits! something else I discovered: Visiting big museums during winter is the best! I prefer small museums and outdoor spaces for the rest of the year! Thank you Musée du Louvre! Hope to see the Sully Wing once again before my card expires!
Je pense rectifier quelque chose : les travaux de Léonard de Vinci étaient certes bien souvent inachevés, mais parce que c'était un perpétuel insatisfait. Si les montagnes ne sont pas conclues; c'est parce qu'il se lasse de son propre travail. Le non-finito apparaît réellement avec Rodin, donc en parler dans cette vidéo pourrait prêter à confusion.
aucun tableau au monde n'est plus beau, pour moi. la vierge a la grace d'une danseuse classique. la recherche du bleu de sa robe a du couter autant d'energie mentale a leonard que tout le reste du tableau. le paysage, n'a, contrairement a ce que vous dites, rien "d'ebauche"; c'est juste que, comme il le dit plusieurs fois dans ses carnets, le fond doit etre moins precis que le premier plan, pour creer la distance. le paysage est sublime

Très instructif. Vous ne parlez pas du sourire des deux femmes qui fait penser à la joconde. Vous n'évoquez pas non plus le rayonnement intérieur qui se dégage de leur visage et qui contribue à faire de ce tableau un chef-d'oeuvre. N'a-t-il pas peint ces femmes comme on peint des anges?
Great video. but, it is a grave error that her cloak was restored using the color blue. The Virgin is repeatedly painted wearing the colors of red, black & white . In Andreas Solario's version, Mary wears the traditional black for the cloak. D'Oggiono's 'Virgin of the Rocks' likewise depicts the black cloak. Historian, Maike Vogt-Luerssen tells us the significance of these colors and what it reveals about the history of Renaissance Royalty, who were the patrons of the arts.
D' Lynn Please note that the colours were chosen by Leonardo himself, it wasn’t repainted blu during the restoration. Also blue has always been associated with the Virgin Mary if you have any history of art knowledge..
