Seriously we have DM fans bad mouthing Erasure - at what point do you not understand the genre of music. They are equals, commercial success is not a measurement of talent - God keep and preserve Erasure, DM and the Pet Shop Boys
DM's version has + realism but the fact that Erasure covers this song is what matters. Their body of work possesses immaculate character: it is wonderful. "What do you want out of life?" "I want to leave behind a body of work that is most often described as wonderful, that produces the following reactions..." u know? All their songs send a message that is objectively true, that is so easy to neglect. DM's version is about adolescents. Andy is saying he still feels this way, maybe all the time.
Not crazy about this version but Depeche fans and Erasure fans fighting is plain stupid.Love them both.Could never choose sides.I'm not even sure how it's possible to like one and not the other. That's messed up.
so was I...amazeballs...did you go to the pub after opposite where there was a wedding reception & us 'Erasurettes' joined in? best night. This was awesome live in crowd. recording doesn't give the background of fans or giant balloons released...had to be there...honouring vince was ace with AB voice. loved it
Andy pullled this song, big time. The synths sound like a karaoke machine, and it's Vince! He is the reason Depeche Mode exists. He should have put more time into it. I know what he can do, and this is not his best. Andy kicked ass here. Though he is no Dave Gahan, he stood up to the challenge and delivered very well. Kudos.
But it sounds exactly as the original analog equiment Vince played with DM. And those who are comparing versions. Its not an studio version. Not everytime David Gahan sang it well...many times with erased vocal or with dysphonia!! And a lot of times better too. It depends. Andy could have sang a lot of Yazoo/The Assembly songs and Depeche Mode early stuff too.
put the original DM (well...VC is the guy who made the original music) sound and the AB's voice together...what the amazing this song could sounds too....both voices are fantastic...i mean AB & DG
@HumanSoftware this was performed at a special one off concert for members of the fan club... therefore i don't think as much polish was applied to the track programming as would have been for a full tour performance.
it's from the evening with erasure cd that was offered to the fanclub in 1998. i don't remember when the performance was, but i think it was a year or so prior to the cd release.

Vince Clark wrote this song melody and lyrics ,, It was really the breakthrough song for Depech mode and Vince left and got with Allison Moyet wich was great and then Andy Bell is what who it took to really complete ust who Vince Clark needed the two talents came together to really become the king of Synth Pop bands to me no one compares to Vince Clark and Andy Bell ,,, they have no competitors simply Love everything they have done ever since the very beginning until now ,,,Erasure is the Greatest....I will say it if no one else in the world will ,, Vince and Andy are very modest Im not when its something I know and needs to be said ,,,so there I said it ,,,Erasure rules!!! I can be as aggressive as Johnny Rotton Lydon ,,,from the sex pistols ,,,I dont care...But really Vince and Andy dont need my comments ,,, the music its self tells everything that needs to be told.
I’m definitely a big Depeche and Erasure fan… However I must admit, that this version of Just Can’t Get Enough sounds like something one would hear at Disneylands Main Street Electrical Parade 😁 Haha Lobe It!
@HinoDead No, Vince should start writing lyrics for Erasure again... 10 demos ready for the next DM album already, no vince needed.. (not that he would come back anyway)
♫♫♫ ♫♫♫ ♫♫♫ ♫♫♫ ....Andy Bell is brilliant, beautiful & has the voice of an angel. I want to snuggle up with him on a big, deep sofa, share a vodka martini and give him a BIG hug. ♫♫♫ ♫♫♫ Andy Bell forever... And Vincent is such a cool dude :) ..and I just can't seem to get enough... ♫♫♫ ♫♫♫ ♫♫♫ ♫♫♫ Love Stefanie xOxOxOxOx
Just can`t get enough and Get the balance right have always been my favourites by DM. Hearing this song from Andy is unusual to me as I don`t like covers whatsoever - even if it is Vince`s song. Maybe a studioversion by Erasure would have sounded better - who knows.
@@laurabailey2152 I am not saying it's a bad version, I just remember a radio interview in the '80's when both bands were at their best that Richard Blade of First Wave Radio ( Richard was a local DJ for an LA based radio station called KROQ) and one of the things they were asked is if they would ever do songs from 'Speak And Spell' and they both said no.
No me molan.
I don't mine couple of there songs like sometimes and little rescept and cchorus. I know Vince worte it but it's DM song Vince as admitted that. Andy Bels voice just doesn't work for this song
Now we need Martin Gore to sing Oh Lamour
Synthetic Dawn Great idea
Jajajajaja Martin L Gore otro dios
Jajajajaja Martin L Gore otro dios
that would be cool. He could put it on Counterfeit 3
Maybe Dave can sing "I Love to Hate You." :-D
This needs to be an official release! I love this version! Go Andy Bell! ❤️
Great version. Vince Clarke is the man...
Seriously we have DM fans bad mouthing Erasure - at what point do you not understand the genre of music. They are equals, commercial success is not a measurement of talent - God keep and preserve Erasure, DM and the Pet Shop Boys
Splat_ Cat my mind sore today that this was by Yaz so, no harm no foul maybe
Andy is the best! His voice is like magic
Andy Flecher?
@@andrzejzmarzlik2154Andy Bell
Brilliant version, love Andy's vocals...
Good version!. First time hearing this as well...
It´s written by Vince Clarke (from Erasure) when he was a member of Depeche mode. It is a DM-song, but the rights belongs to the songwriter.
Andy is saying he still feels this way, maybe all the time.
....these musicians are GREAT together...!!!
Andy you are so awesome, congrats 4 this version of depeches mode`s song just cant enough, as usual you made your this version
If Vincent gave this song to Andy long time ago will be another hit for Erasure, no doubt
Cindy Duarte Probably, When Vince left DM he offered them a song. They rejected it. Song was called "Only you" which yaz had a hit with.
Strych Nyne ohhhhh so they must be called "The silly boyz band" not DM, anyway I dont like this band, I like so much the particular sound of Erasure
I love the erasure version of the song, prefer it to the Depeche Mode version. Beautiful!
Why do you hate music?
Erasure .. Depeche and PSB mean soooo much too me , I love them all for all different reasons ..since 85
Not crazy about this version but Depeche fans and Erasure fans fighting is plain stupid.Love them both.Could never choose sides.I'm not even sure how it's possible to like one and not the other. That's messed up.
amers83 good point I'm a huge fan of both bands. Stop fighting people and just enjoy their music.
i agree! these fights are just pointless. the bands are so different, how can one possibly be better?!
I'm definitely in the DM camp, but I can listen to Erasure and be like, "Yeah, this is some pretty cool stuff, too." :-D
Do people not know that Vince Clarke was a founding member of DM? He wrote the song.
O gawd! I love it...so lively and carefree.

I LOVE ERASURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at the concert when they played this for the first time. Manchester academy 1997 EIS Christmas Concert. brilliant night.

I think the whole Speak & Spell album is ment for the ereasue style
que bien canta Andy esta cancion

Vince can do with it what he choses, it's just one of his many divine babies, full stop !!!
Hermosa voz d mi Andy Bell

@deliriousweare hear ya there, Erasure is up there on my top ten favorite bands list
The performance was a fan-only gig in December 1997.

Erasure sounds pretty karaoke anyway

Sounds like something I'd hear at Disneyland's Mainstreet Electrical Parade hehehe.... 🐢🐢🐢
Love the toy keyboard Vince!
Que emoción Depeche y Eradure

Thank god for DM...... but without ERASURE I could hardly live.
Lovely
This makes my feet move:)

Totally off topic here but you are stunning.
Yes indeed!
Wow live drums
Great track. Ultimately the song fits Depeche a wee bit better but Vince is a legend nontheless
i love it i love it i love it yes i love it
@swaingles belongs to Vince Clarke and Martin Gore that´s why DM play also this sing in their gigs...I like it more with David for sure...by the way
esta muy bien!!!
Anyone know when this was recorded? Thanks
Greattttttttt
Espectacular
Quem escreveu esta musica foi Vincent
it sounds like "playing wonderboy" LOVE ERASURE.
@9tailedfoxgoddess I hope you mean Vince Clarke... And this is a alright cover... It sounds too much like a karoake version
Just can`t get enough and Get the balance right have always been my favourites by DM. Hearing this song from Andy is unusual to me as I don`t like covers whatsoever - even if it is Vince`s song. Maybe a studioversion by Erasure would have sounded better - who knows.
sounds better with depeche mode
Vince Clark wrote this during his DM time..
SOU MUITO FÃ DO ERASURE ATÉ HOJE
Ronie Marcovich what? Please in english or at least in a good spanish
Yep, it sounds better with DM..... but cool to hear it was sung by erasure, i did not know that!
Vince and Andy once told Richard Blade they would never do this song live. D'mode does it a hell of alot better
+David meier but Vince wrote this!
David meier yup, i don't think DM become as big as they are if vince never left.
When was this recorded? Is there any video of the performance?
Corinnette,tu es un petit ange
When and where the hell is this from? Sounds bloody great
bwaha taht last pic!!
Vince and the company are singing in karaoke.
Thank God they didn’t sing Never Let me down again at least
@fishefood
Nop. This song was recorded 1997
😁👍.
So who was the guy with the goofy glasses playing keyboard?
its better with Depeche Mode
@zartanhatesyou, not true. Whoever wrote the song got the rights to use the song.
vince, come back to DM!
He will never return dm are dogshit
Hao.epr.2 Hao coincido contigo
@9tailedfoxgoddess what!!!!!!!
I don't get the DM vs Erasure rubbish. This was at a fan club only gig. Why would we want to hear something that was identical to the original????
😂👍
@alec9tap karaoke
No me molan.
I know I shouldn't say that Andy Bell sings this better than Dave Gahan but I just have👍
although andy bell did a good cover, i prefer Depeche's version. sorry if this offends anyone that see's this but it's my own opinion.
A good version from the original writer of this song, love Depeche Mode's too.
I love Erasure and think this is a great cover, but it doesn't beat the original.
Foxgoddess, you're the dummy. Vince is the man, not Andy
Synth-piano rhythm version...
😃
not a rip off. but original..hello reality!
I don't mine couple of there songs like sometimes and little rescept and cchorus.
I know Vince worte it but it's DM song Vince as admitted that.
Andy Bels voice just doesn't work for this song
