It's so interesting how nearly NONE of the haters hating on her are actually Irish.
Well I think shes is amazing and hope she becomes famous.
I do not even pretend to guess her ethnic background. Though, a huge percentage of black people from the East coast of the United States are part Irish. If she was a part Irish white girl nobody would say anything. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she had some Irish ancestors (though if she doesn't, who cares?). Though if she was just white with no Irish background I don't think anybody would have said anything either. I think it's awesome to learn about other cultures especially someone who learns about it as respectfully as she obviously has.
Rriiiiiiiiigghhttt
@@andreaskitchen5296
Anyone even close to being intelligent loves to learn.
I find other cultures fascinating.
I'm so curious, I know everything about trimming claws on cow hooves, to theology, and I'm not religious.
But everything is so interesting to me.
Hahaha
I'm Irish and I know for a fact that 99% of people here agree that she's amazing and welcome her interpretation of Irish dancing
She seems really sweet.
She looks great too.
You can tell how much joy she gets from dancing.
She is killing it. I love it. Dance is good for the soul.
Um no. She's appropriating my culture! I am so super triggered.
@USA 2 MEXICO, don’t listen. Do whatever you feel, wear whatever you like, do your hair however you like, etc.
Brings back memories of my happy Irish Dancin' days.....and how I was never anywhere near that talented.
I mean I’m an Irish American 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. When a human being got soul for something, they got the soul. Don’t matter where you’re from.
well it matters when SJW's are trying to racially shame people for participating in things that they assert are deeply valued parts of non-white cultures. This is empowering, but if it was a white person, it would be cultural appropriation, that's the double standard.
you can't have it both ways else its literally the definition of racism.
CircumcisionIsChildAbuse alright.
@@CircumcisionIsChildAbuse nah it wont.. do you call ballet culture appropriation?? People do this all the time but with ballet and ballet arent american either. We do taekwondo choreography (poomsae/demo) in english songs too sometimes and its not cultural appropriation LOL
@@TheMscandy123 i dont unironically call anything cultural appropriation because its a nonsense term made up by people who don't think very hard for a living. People who need a few more philosophy classes and less nonsense woman's studies.
@@CircumcisionIsChildAbuse ...sure, Richard...
Many congratulations on getting your place in the Riverdance company. I'm so pleased for you. Well done! 👏😊
Omg she is so amazing. Inspiring. Dancers are very useful to society.
She is cute and amazing at dancing. But dancers are not really useful to society. There is no shortage of dancers, singers, actors, pro athletes, ect. Actually there is a huge surplus. There is a shortage of doctors especially neurosurgeons in the USA
I think I'm in love 😻😻😻, if that's what "cultural appropriation" looks like please carry on, I would call it "cultural enrichment" thank you for inspiring more young people, and for taking time to learn about Irish dance, history and our true culture (somthing I suspect you have invested more time and effort in than many of your detractors) may the blessings of our noble people be with you, x
As an Irish American, I take it as a compliment that you decided to lay yourself so well to Irish Step Dancing. You’re a great Artist/ Athlete. Thanks!
That woman is amazing!!!!
Morgan is Amazing...Incredible dancer and artist
The perfect example of Cultural Appreciation instead of Cultural Appropriation. Take Note. Go-Ahead Girl!
Cultural appreciation, cultural appropriation. Potato, potato.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery.
I'm white so i'll get red dreadlocks and call it culural appreciation. Or do a traditional African dance in America I'm sure people will appreciate that.
Interesting. For things like braids black people are used to being demeaned for that cultural expression before it becomes mainstream. I like that she doesn’t try and make the Irish dance form trendy she took classes and worked hard to try and understand an art form. Sounds like appreciation not appropriation to me
@@Black_pearl_adrift I have no problem with her Irish dancing. If I can't have cool looking dreadlocks or do morris dancing in black paint then she can't do a dance from a different country than the one she is from.
@@Ash-os1dz wait you have no problem with it but... you want to have dreds and do black face? What?
As a former step dancer of some 12 years know that I fully encourage this young lady in her dance pursuits. Any man or woman on this island of Ireland that have anything they'd like to say against black people step dancing then feel free to take it up with me. It will prove the worst mistake you will ever make if I find out where you live.
Amongst the least surprising names of an Irish dancer. 100% Born for it.
I guarantee the people who are claiming cultural appropriation are not even Irish
Thank you bring that up, this nonsense stop. She an amazing dancer.
@Ari Renzi-Surprenant We don't tend to get offended easily here!
In fact, in Ireland we use insults as terms of endearment.
So if you get something that seems like an insult, it's like a compliment in disguise!
But remember to reply with another insult..
Having said that- there's no grounds for offence here.
A beautiful talented dancer bringing Irish dancing to a new audience?
What's not to like?
I think people are bringing it up ironically because "cultural appropriation" is nonsense.
She's a legend and doesn't even know it yet. My daughter is rooting for you and loves your dancing
She is beautiful and she is an amazing irish dancer🤗 love from Ireland 🇮🇪 ❤
I’m not understanding this trend of people being blown away that someone from a different part of the world can do the exact same thing that they can do..... wtf we’re all human, so why wouldn’t it happen?
Can you break dance?
Nobody was really "blown away". It's just that she is pretty good. Some idiots wanted to call it cultural appropriation, but instead of hurting her they increased support for her. That's the actual story. Not that she just can dance a particular style.
@@IK-pi9bj I don't know if I would call her dancing "bare minimum". It is also more the case that people show solidarity with her, after she was accused of "cultural appropriation". It's not about the dancing per se, but more about breaking stereotypes.
@@carpediem5232 No hate intended of course, Just my own personal opinion. To you it may not be the bare minimum but to me it is. I grew up doing gymnastics, hip hop & ballet, and playing the violin, guitar & piano all at a competitive level. But like I said, she's a good dancer and I won't take that away from her. She takes her art seriously and she is having fun so good for her.
Edit: I'm totally in support of breaking stereotypes 👍🏾
In another interview she said: there is a difference between appropriation and appreciation ❤️
Her legs are soo smoothly going that I wouldnt get mad if she smacked my nose
@@shawnscannell8855 um what do you mean
@@brumhelldah917 that was not me that posted that.
@@brumhelldah917 Brum, again my apologies for the post. I remember it now. Someone had posted a tweeker vid that has been deleted. Thank you for bringing it to my attention for deleting.
Well I'm happy she kept going and is now an official cast member of the Riverdance UK tour.
Me trying to stay away from all 2020 problems like: 0:20
Too funny! I knew which part it was before I even clicked.
Sick moves, crazy don’t stop, kill it. 🇨🇦 ☘️
wow she is amazing
Love it should open your own studio. There are blacks living in Ireland
We live all over the world 🌎.
4 sure and one of Ireland's great rock musician, Phil Lynott father was black!
and there are white people living in African countries. doesn't mean the culture of Ireland is black, how is this not cultural appropriation? Why is it only inappropriate when white people do it? People complain its cultural appropriation when its white people "stealing" the cultures of others.
@@CircumcisionIsChildAbuseNo hate but I think it's cultural inappropriate when you rebrand certain things from other culture into your own brand. Example some people rebranded canecrows as boxer braid and a result it lost its meaning and importance to black culture. Another example is that some white people copies dances from the people of color without crediting them which resulted to more opportunities for that white person and none for the people of color.
@@kinhina Just because a "white" person makes money off of something that a "black" person thought of doesn't mean that white person had malicious intent or is "stealing culture". It just means that white person knew how to market it and profit from it. The language you're speaking is petty! Just because a black person picks a mango from a tree doesn't mean a white person is stealing it if they do it more efficiently and gathers more mangos.
@@Declan_Moriarty lol no it just means he is a tea leaf, but ultimately could end up a rich tea leaf.
I'm an Irish American and I love this girl. She nails it and I don't care if she's Irish or not. My hats off to her.
watching her vid over and over, talented girl, yes i am irish, wonderful that she is interested in river dance, such talent
I love this. It would be super nice if we all remember this whenever someone gets accused of cultural appropriation. Culture exists for everyone to enjoy. Let's not mistake capitalist exploitation for cultural appreciation.
She’s a fabulous dancer. Cultural appreciation would be a more appropriate term.
Putting that thought in another light, if the blues hadn’t been shared and formed the foundation of modern music, the world world would not be nearly as interesting. Mostly listen to soul, jazz, and Motown myself, but rock and rap wouldn’t exist either.
Keep dancing!
why do you guys continue to make excuses and change the rules? the concept of cultural "appreciation" has always been there for every instance of "appropriation" so the fact that suddenly now its perfectly okay for a black woman, shows the racism behind these oddly specific outrages aimed at white people.
Apparently i wasn't appreciating dread locks, or rap music, I was culturally appropriating them...gotcha...but black woman step dancing, now that's appreciation because...reasons. its hypocritical. how about acknowledge the stupid concept of appropriation being super flawed.
@Not Available Like I said, moving the goal posts. Inconsistent, flawed, social ideology. The idea that you can accurately see the entire picture by closing one eye. If the roles were reversed and it was some white dude with dreads speaking with a carribbean accent (for all you know he grew up there just the same) but everyone would jump on him none the less. Imagine a world where everyone shared their cultures and didnt hate one another for the color of their skin? lol imagine.
But hey you can do whatever you want I'll continue living my life and treating people like they're human beings capable of free expression.
When the world says; you cannot do this, you show them that you can!
I’d break my ankles at the same time
Yr an amazing dancer .Follow yr dream & dance yr way to the stars girl. Ull always have work Teaching Irish dancing it a win win for u girl . Thank you for choosing irish dance to learn . From an irish man
She is an artist. She shows respect to the craft and has paid her dues, so any claims of cultural appropriation are without merit. I’m Irish American and I was expecting to hate this and start tearing her apart, but I can’t she is great and I’m proud of her passion.🇮🇪🇺🇸
All the years as a kid avoiding Irish dance class (it was compulsory for us in our all Irish primary school).. and this amazing talent wants to be a part of it....fair play to her she is amazing.
All human cultures should be universal. It’s all human culture.
@ Jorge I agree; simply acknowledge and appreciate from where you learned "it".
@@jurisgirl4479 yes, let’s acknowledge. Please, that should be the number one way moving forward.
This just goes 2 show that music/dancing has no color, she feels it in her spirit, well done MB!💃🏽💜
I would love to see a movie about a dancer inspired by her and a character of an Irish breakdancer or an Irish dancer diving into a specific traditional African or African American dance!
It would show a great example of exchange of cultures! 💃🏿💃🏼
Yes, this would be great for numerous reasons. However, most African Americans don't know how to do traditional African dancing themselves as a start.. An exchange between African Americans and Africans would be great as well.
Those who are blaming her for cultural appropriation, should also blame themselves for yoga and chai latte as a cultural appropriation too.
It's art!! Music, dance and food knows no borders. Let it be so. She dances so gracefully and effortlessly
If you love something... Don't be afraid and don't let anyone or anything stop you! She's fantastic
So good. Power to this dancer.
She is an astonishing talent and something we need in the world of dance.
Your dancing is beautifully done. Just ignore the idiots.
Thats what you can do when you work hard. What would skin shade have to do with it. Just talent and deserving of respect.
To see her dance...I think she’s always showing us what she loves so much about Irish step dancing, and why she learned. It’s lovely.
And for the racists who want to claim “cultural appropriation”-then what kind of dancing should she be doing? Should the rest of us be allowed to watch “Riverdance” and like it, or is that “cultural appropriation”?
My wife is an Irish dancer and she is very good even went to Worlds but this girl slaps!!!
Brilliant, congratulations on your call up to Riverdance, hopefully see you performing in Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
dance is an art and what a beauty that you appropriate it without borders
Lovely that Riverdance ensemble have invited Ms Bullock to perform with them. I hope that she get to dance professionally, if that is her dream. Dancing is a joy to experience and to watch so I look forward to seeing Ms Bullock perform on tour.
Stunning
Awsome !!
Do your best to ignore the haters and please continue. Well done!
She is good. like it with modern music
Love from Ireland 🇮🇪💚 you are beautiful and you dance like a professional.
Proud Irish fan.
She b chillin and illin for realz
No one knows how hard Irish dance is. You are awesome.
That critics are so ignorant and narrow-minded.
Everyone knows that Rock is a direct child from the Blues, black blues and jazz.
Bluegrass and Americana come from everywhere, especially Ireland and so on and so on.
Morgan, keep up the great work and honor the homeland of the Irish Dance.
are you trying to assert that irish step dancing is somehow okay for black people to do and doesnt count as cultural appropriation? i was unaware of the long history of black presence in Ireland that dates back to the days of the origin of irish step dancing. Oh wait, its because there werent.
so which is it, are we trying to still shame white people for engaging in other cultures, or are we embracing people that do that? because you can't have it both ways without being overtly racist.
CircumcisionIsChildAbuse
You are pathetic narrow-minded and dishonest.
I know, because your daily life is also an amalgam of cultural habits and traditions from everywhere.
You only THINK that your life is authentic, but it is only ruled by myths and racism.
Cultural appreciation 👏
THIIIIIIIIIS!
There is absolutely no hint of cynicism in that girl’s dancing. To me, that’s what gives cultural appropriation the negative subtext: cynicism
Ha, that's a dope play on words. U win the internet today. Have a good one.
I'm sure it is just black power
@@chcknpie04 thats weirdly convenient in the face of hypocrisy to change the requirement of "cultural appropriation" do you think white hipsters with dread locks were being "cynical" about dread locks....? how about widely popular white rappers? are they culture vultures?
it shows how the origin of cultural appropriation was merely just trying to get mad at one race for trying to embrace another. reverse racism basically.
@@Ash-os1dz shut up. you can point out hypocrisy and double standards without being overtly stupid and racist about it.
Way to go Morgan! Pursue your dreams and stay focus.
Not bad but nothing beats an original native Irish river dancing.
Wow!!! Much respect for you, keep dancing!!
How is it cultural appropriation when it is an Irish dance form and credit and honor is given to the Irish tradition?
And shared. So we know she didn't steal it. And called her own.
Because it's a black person doing it, that's what's got them so triggered
I am not sure where these accusations are coming from, I have only heard praise for her in Dublin and from others around Ireland. We think she is wonderful.
@@isla25 Well that's because the Irish don't have a problem with her. Even the Irish embassy gave her their support. The only complaints are coming from white Americans who haven't educated themselves on the matter and are trying to play the victim. They see a black person doing something not normally associated with black culture, and they lose their minds.
@@isla25 well you would be shocked we have Irish dancing competition in Glasgow, and the most snobbish rude contesters were from USA....
The thing is though, there have been a number of black Irish dancers over the years and one became a teacher in London. One of the 2019 World champions is a black boy from Dundalk. Numerous dancers have also been dancing steps to non-traditional music for ages. In fact, I know someone who danced a reel to Relax by Frankie goes to Hollywood as part of an audition for drama school in the 1980’s. I imagine those throwing shade weren’t involved in the dancing world or they would’ve known this.
You are beautyfull, and very talented .you are excellent. The skin color have nothing to do with you skill.
Ignored imbecile people hun. Enjoy your life ,be happy and prosperous as you are right now.
Love from Canada.
Can't wait to see you dancing with Riverdance.
It’s dancing. Period !!!!
Cultural appropriation ? Are you kidding me? Thank you for keeping this art form alive.
What the?! I just watched this video! HOw did yall do that?! 😱😱😱😂😂😂
They track your phone searches and likes etc. Sometimes even recommending videos like by people you talk to on social media. It's really creepy when you think about it.

@@AdumbDriver 🤣
She's fab actually. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
You’re so talented! Keep up the good work. I think your talent will overshadow any comments about “cultural appropriation”. I don’t know why anyone cares about that.
She is a beautiful dancer
Who makes Now This??
As an Irishman, I don't know of any stereotypes, The formal Irish step dancing which Morgan does and the more traditional Sean-nós dancing are disciplines that are only attained by the dedication and hard work of the person.
Yassssss
Keep it up, Morgan!
Dance is dance!
Wow
Go ahead sister!!!
You look better and more polished than some of the original professional Irish dancers I've seen.
I enjoy watching you dance! Your fabulous!
You rock!
Beautiful
Morgan, you are such a beautiful young lady. Any culture should be proud that you are honoring them. Let nothing stop you!
Morgan you are a star. Being Black doesn’t mean squat. My daughter in law is Aboriginal here in Western Australia and guess what, I had her DNA done and her ancestors come from Ireland on her mother’s side. From a very white haired Irish man which gives her family a few albino children. No one is 100% of anything. Get your DNA done, you may be surprised. Blessings.
If Celtic Fest comes back to Chicago would the promoters please bring this kid in to perform?
Let’s go, sister! Way to represent RVA!
Tá tú go hálainn ar fad Morgan. I enjoy your dancing.
Thank you for sharing your gift with the world! I wish you much success!
She's really really good. Amazing!
1:36 ! Those are moves from the "Lord of the Dance" "Warriors" weren't they?
She's really good on her toes
Oh she is so awesome, I hope she goes far, I’d love to see more of her in the future.
My toes hurt watching this 😬
You are Fabulous just Fabulous. 😊🌺👯
We all love her here in Ireland ,,she is just amazing

Irish Brown baby...just love it don't hate!
Amazing!!! Someone would have to suspend me by my armpits, for me to be able to dance like that, but she makes it look like a breeze! Absolutely beautiful!
She is beautiful.
WOW, you are amazing and so gifted!!!!!
Just because someone of a different race and culture practices an artform from outside their culture doesn't make it cultural appropriation. I'm Puerto Rican. If I met a Japanese person who knows how to dance Salsa I wouldn't have an issue with that. So long as they show respect to my culture I'm good.
Amazing young talent.
Young talent? Isn't 20-30 years old just talent? (just a question because young talent are actually people aged 3-18 years old.
@@nanaprincess2537 She is talented and at just 20 years of age, yes she is still young. I have never heard that way of differentiation before, it is just nitpicking for the sake of it.
@@isla25 it was just a question so you are a young talent until how old since you are at 20?
@@nanaprincess2537 Sorry if I came across as rude, that wasn't my intention. I am just a RUclips commenter not a scout at some talent agency, it all about context and as I said 20 years of age is not old. I would understand your problem with it if this was written on an agency page and you didn't know were to draw the line( still seems like nitpicking to me though), but why does this bother you so much? It has zero importance. What I said was factually correct unless you do not think she is young. Again apologies for coming across as being rude.
A black person doing our cultures dance, but better! "Cultural Appropriation"! Should be proud that your dance is being respected and brought to light. I didn't even know it existed till now.
