    You're a really good teacher. This is how English should be taught. You gave simple and interesting examples, most of them related to our daily lives. I've been studying English for a year and I'm pretty sure that these videos are complementing my curse perfectly.

  • @mypointofview007

    wanned to add..the main thing is how you keep the conversation going on non-verbally, if you ask these questions with the boring face expression, it will fail -> reminds me of the typical Monday morning conversation with the colleagues. But if you're smiley and have a positive face expression you can ask as many questions as you want and it will definitely work! Ronnie is a good example, whatever she says sounds so positively and funny, so I can't stop watching her videos!

    her way "that u called it silly "it's the secret why i can understand her lessons .she is so cute and she introduce the lesson from her heart maybe that's why u you find her silly !!

    besides the "interrogative attitude", she is absolutely right, the key for conversation development is the ability to recognize and respond to "wh questions"

    she's the funniest one! it's so easy to improve English with her lessons. What's a pity Ronnie doesn't give lessons for advanced learners, does she?

  • @zwiggelbig
    @zwiggelbig 10 лет назад +5

    uhm.. These follow up questions.. They don't bring any kind of comfort on this interaction..
    She: ''I went to the movies''
    You: ''Do you still remember one scene of a movie that made a big impact on you once?'' ''For me it had definitly had to be the one from the titanic where he dies in the end''
    But in the case of just learning to keep up a conversation in English its good stuff!

  • @FightinginHockey
    @FightinginHockey 12 лет назад

    I agree. Conversations with strangers are weather, sports(if its play-offs and the city your in is in it), traffic or just whatever is going on at the moment. What you did last night is too personal.

    This is how to conduct a cross examination. If this happened to me I certainly would be thinking "why is this stranger suddenly so interested in me?" possible answers include a) distraction robbery b) mistaken identity c) lonely person d) stalker.
    I think the thing to do is /pretend/ to be interested in what the other person is and ask them questions about what they know.

    When you use DID this makes the sentence past, so you do not need to change the second verb into past!
    So, EVERYTIME you use did/didn't, keep the verb in base form!!!

    this is all good but within the first example you dont need to ask more questions if you ask "what movie" and the person says " i saw who met rodger robbit"
    THEN EXPAND
    it really helps get the conversation going instead of just asking more questions

    I don't want to be rude, but this is a kind of a 'Sherlock Holmes' conversation, People may feel a tat bit uncomfortable if you ask them the questions, like why does he/she want to know where I was yesterday and what I did? Still, this is an awesome class. Thanks a lot, Ronnie. You're awesome. Yay!

    Ronnie, Why did you use 'see a movie', not 'watch a movie? My teacher taught me that If you watch someone or something, you look at them, usually for a period of time, and pay attention to what is happening. The action you do is "watch', not 'see'. ,From a common error learning book, it said - See = experience with the eyes without concentrating or paying attention. Watch = use the eyes to observe something, especially for a long time. Look = use the eyes to observe something usually for a short time.
    I do enjoy watching your videos. I learnt a lot from your videos. Thank you

    • @Edupier
      @Edupier 8 лет назад

      Generally, 'see' has the connotation of having gone to the movie theater and watched the movie there, whereas 'watch' tends to mean to watch it in a home environment on DVD or TV
