At first I thought our tastes were a bit too different but I keep being drawn to your videos. I think your language is very good and descriptive and you do a lot of the fragrances I want to know about. Thank you, and this video was well done. Have a great holiday.
Sample , Wood Infusion Goldfield&Banks, Cuirs by Barcelona, Hacivat by Nishane, the long dry down, and Dark Side by Francesca Bianchi. All wonderful dark woodies. The bottle I got of black Afgano reminds me of blonde hash some. The soft texture. Great review.
I just discovered this one too so I’m reeeeally late to the party, the party is over and everyone’s gone home...lol I do love this perfume very much. At first I didn’t like it but I’ve grown to love it. It’s beautiful on me.
oud is not the rot of agar trees, it is the self protecting resin defense the tree has against injury. Our that smells funky is fermented in water and it develops lactic acid which is why is smells like old socks or a cheese. please follow Ensar Oud if you want to learn basic info about oud.
Ever since I picked up Gucci's Intense Oud, I never really felt the need to own it. But now that I've heard Gucci went the reformulation route, I feel for those people who were looking for an excellent alternative. The juice really does reflect the scent though. If it were me, I'd probably call it Avada Kedavra.
It's not cannabis but hashish, although it doesn't accurately represent that either but has similarities, like a cold light hashish undertone, while having no weed whatsoever. I agree it's not what people make it seem like though, the reviews out there make you believe it's something gothic and unforgiving like Vi et Armis (which also has that hashish undertone but much better done). The real Black Afgano is like if JCE has made a transparent Hermes based on the exaggerated Black Afgano myths!
@@ouch110 I don't think its an specific breed, Afghanistan is known for their drugs and their hashish is black. Hence the name Black Afgano. And yes it looks like a black resin that gets sticky squidgy with heat and smells magnificent. College has thought me all these 😂
I always felt this perfume sits in the room where it resides. In a sense that if you wear it people didnt notice. But when they entered the room they knew it was there.
i've wanted to buy this but at the price and the reviews are so mixed that i didn't....people seem to love this or really hate it.....some people say it smells of bo and shit.
Great review! You are a translator, scent to words, so fluent!
I love your reviews! The honesty is refreshing!
Thanks!
I just want to say that you give the BEST reviews Thomas. Thank you so much!
Thank youuuuuu!!! haha.
Thank you!! I really appreciate that :) 👍

Great review.
I love your reviews. Perfumes will be reformulated but your fragrance language will never go out of style. 177k subscribers should be!
I appreciate that! That's so sweet. :)
The KING 👑 Black Afgano ... thank you for sharing

Glad you like it!
Love love your channel...your descriptions of fragrances are the most accurate that i have heard. Very refreshing and make my day. Thanks so much
Thanks!! :) It's not always easy to put fragrance into words. :)
Loved your review. I too feel that this fragrance is not heavy or overtly dark. A great one for sure
A very accurate description and well described review 👍
Thanks!
This got me clattered by my nan with a wooden spoon because she thought I was smoking 😂 gotta love Irish nannies.
🤣, I have Irish roots too. Do you think irish ladies are worth seeking out ? Love the accent
Scentitar Fragrance What a ridiculous question! Ignorant and stupid rolled into one. Well done, mate.

So is black afgano a type of Hashish? Like a squidgy resin?

Love your Christmas tree....
Thanks!

I always thought the cannabis thing was a gimmick as I never picked it out and that was 6 or 7 years ago 🤷🏼♂️
Mind trickerisation.

don't blind buy then...
@@MisterCreative that's how i roll.
I received a 5ml sample of Black Afgano...totally unimpressed. My 2 cents. I'd never wear this scent. Just me.
Different horses for different courses hey? :)
Crikey. It must have been reformulated. I recognise what the other reviewers say.
I guess so, it's still very cool though!
I'm not a fan of oud either, nor violet.
It's more like an echo of what violet feels like in a fragrance and the oud isn't scary, it's a really beautiful perfume. :)
The stubble is sexy.
It smells like hashish, not cannabis.
It doesn't smell like either to me really... it smells like leather and oud. hehe.
Definitely that and insence on the dry down but initially smells like the back of an Egyptian taxi...in a good way😂
