Sojo kinda reminds me of Zabuza in a way. Both were incredible antagonists for the brief time they were present, they were also incredible introductory villains who help to reinforce the combat and abilities in their series, and both changed the perspectives and ideologies of their protagonists.
When I often talk to my friends about writing stuff I always mention how particular I am about characterization when it comes to making characters; as I believe that's more important than anything else you can do as a writer Be it a hero, villain, or that one guy that sells cabbages good characterization can make someone with even a few MINUTES worth of screentime be so interesting and compelling Sojo is just proof of my philosophy tbh Hokazono really impressed me
Kagurabachi is going to be the next big shounen, all it needs is for the current arc to pan out in an interesting way, and it's reputation is basically secured, and the most recent chapter was great too.
Yep. The Rakuzaichi has a ton of potential to be fkg awesome and if Hokazono surpasses those potentials and expectations I think it'd be safe to say Kagurabachi's actually, unironically peak. Hopefully Hokazono doesn't jump the shark here or anything, currently one of the most exciting arcs I'm reading.

No fan-service, a likeable cast, incredible action, fast paced with no filler so far, and a simple but moving story. Battle Shonen isn’t my favorite genre in manga, just for my own tastes. But if this series keeps up its momentum I can see this series becoming a story still talked about a decade from now in the shonen manga community.
Everything Sojo said about Kunishige and the enchanted blades being true, and Chihiro's denial of his perspective makes me believe Kunishige, by the time we learn more about the war will be established as a morally grey character. He knows about the repercussions of the enchanted blades' existence but he had to choose what were the lesser of 2 evils(making super powerful blades of destruction that may escape his grasp and hurt innocent people or not). Not about Sojo but just a thought
I really love Sojo, as he was such a charismatic, lovable and fun character. He was also a bad guy with basically no redeeming qualities, and I appriciate Takeru's writing even more for not sending him out with a sob story. Im very sure we will later on see what his trauma was supposed to represent, and while I have many theories for it, I have no idea if Im corret. I really love how in depth you go into Sojo and his part of the story, and Im happy you made the video!
This manga hit a very rare medium where im fully satisfied with shojo’s end but i also would very much be down for watching these two run it a couple more times

Kunishige’s swords are an art open to interpretation and as such, there’s no true “meaning” as to the purpose of the swords. there’s obviously an objective meaning and purpose but at the end of the day, everyone has their own ideas. i feel like that’s such an intriguing conflict to establish

Just finished reading the finale I think we all agree that Sojo was a really good first villain. His ideals and beliefs made Chihiro think he was right. Even though the enchanted blades can be used for good at the same time at the wrong hands they can be used for killing. I think that Chihiro going to be impacted by his encounter with Sojo in the arcs to come. Years from now as the series gets to like the 100 plus we are definitely going to be looking back at this arc and Sojo and how good he was as a first antagonist and how he set up for the events to come
Amazing first real arc for Kagurabachi. I will say the last few chapters have not been moving me as much. But, given how amazing that first arc was, I'm willing to stick with it and see where it goes

Sojo was extremely underused in my opinion. His writing in regards to him evolving in how to use Cloud Gouger made him terrifying. But the depth of his character was so dry to me; his character was one dimensional. All he was in terms of being a character is being Rokuhira senior's fanboy.

They never elaborated on what Gojo meant when he said “you bore the burden of adaptation, but not the results” or whatever the actual quote was. Honestly Kagurabachi has so far 1 bad aspect about itself to me: sorcerers, they feel a bit dissapointing, like none of the ones i know have complex powers like jujutsu kaisen or magic does not really feel very hard like in tokyo ravens
I actually kinda hope it stays that way or only gets a little more complicated so the powers are easy to explain but can have a lot of uses so it can keep the fights as fast or close to the seed of the fights right now kinda like espers in mob psycho
