I put my leftovers in glass food prep containers that I got from Ikea. I put them in the “eat first” section and it makes for easier lunches plus people know to eat that food first so it’s not just sitting there for a week or two.

It’s hard to find things when you can’t see everything and then you think you don’t have something when you do and you go out and buy more stuff and it just keeps piling up. I feel like being organized and clean is very important.

If you put paper towel or another absorber type material with them it absorbs the moisture. I agree though unless your prepping it to eat it in the next 3 days max or unless your freezing it it shouldnt be cleaned and usually its cleaned when harvested or packaged anyway.
true, but its nicer to wash fruit and veg before it goes in ur fridge so its ready to eat for a snack because i know that my fruit and veg always comes with some dirt on it

This looks amazing! Only thing I could say just to help you out in case you've never heard it you're never supposed to put your milk in the door because it's something that needs to stay the coldest. Every time you open the door you're warming it up so it's supposed to stay in the top back of the fridge to keep its temperature consistent. Every time you open and close the door and or leave it open your cooling it down warming it up cooling it down warming it up just something I thought I would share with you because I'm guessing you didn't know! 😊

My family should be getting our new fridge delivered to us tomorrow so I’m definitely going to show this video to my sisters when we put all our food into the new fridge. We currently have too small of a fridge with a single door layout so the freezer is on top and the rest is the fridge. It gets so messy and it’s impossible to keep organized with such a small fridge and having a family of 5. That new fridge was definitely needed.

After you wash them you could place a paper towel in the bottom of the container it will retain the water keeping the fruit fresh.....works for berries and lettuce, carrots and celery too
@LGqueen if you soak your Strawberries in ACV the Braggs kind with the mother, your Strawberries will last as long as you need them😁🍓🍓🍓🍓💖 just a couple of minutes then rinse and dry with in tip of a napkin or cloth to get excess water off then put into an airtight container

Happy Blue i do this with all my fruits and veggies and soak them in a salt and white vinegar combo. then rinse with water. it gets all the gnats and other bugs off of strawberries and it doesn't leave a salty taste
I spent 3.5 hours cleaning the whole fridge and using UV light, I was surprised to see a lot more than I couldn’t see without the light. It feels good to know the fridge is clean without anything growing in it or triggering anything bad

Dahliaette Mason thank you! I stored the leftover eggs in the fridge drawer and tomatoes I used to cook after organizing (you can see the leftover eggs in the left drawer) whatever leftovers I have I put them in the drawers 😊

What an amazing organization! I love those clear bins. How do you like those produce containers? My toddlers (now big kids) like freeze dried mango(and freeze dried berries but they can be tart or messy), squeeze yogurt, yogurt melts, apple sauce, carrot sticks, apple slices with peanut butter, mango cubes, all berries, watermelon cubes, cheese cubes, tuna and crackers. You have such a sweet personality and voice!

Well organized. I don't know if you have an additional freezer, but you should consider the investment. In our days you can freeze almost everything. You can freeze butter, ham, fruits, etc. before they turn bad. I even cut and freeze my small peppers, unions; 0 waste! Very nice fridge organization dear. A hug from Puerto Rico.

I keep cuties, bananas, apples and apple sauce pouches, string cheese and yogurt available for the kids. I try to keep them away from goldfish and chips. I buy popcorn from Costco and everyone gets a portion. I let the kids “mix in” Raisins or cheese. Every kid likes different things so I look for ways they can make it their own.

Great video. I love the Oui yogurts cause you can use the jars after you eat them. I even found small canning lids that fit right on the jars. I use them for dressing and dips for lunch and sometimes I just refill them with yogurt.

For someone like me who lives in Japanese-style House( which I designed), organization of a Fridge is critical for health and hygiene. First thing is, how many people are using it? Second thing is, what foods and drinks do you use the most? Third thing is, how much diversity do you feel you need with your ingredients or supplies? Fourth thing is, how much rotation do you go through per week or every two weeks? These four questions help decide where things go in a Fridge, how much is necessary, how much space can be allotted for ingredients, and how quickly items get consumed. If an item gets buried in a Fridge or forgotten about because it is isn't immediately visible, it can go bad quickly and cause all sorts of contamination or health problems. It is also important that if you can afford to, buy a new fridge with bins for Produce, Meats, or Dairy with moisture controls. This helps keep food fresh longer and can save hundreds to thousands of dollars a year from food not going bad too quickly or getting frozen from too much Moisture at too cold a temperature. The biggest hurdle with Fridge maintenance is keeping it CLEAN. Plastic shelf liners with grooves in them can be placed onto glass shelves so most food stains, food crumbs or debris, or liquid can be wiped off and out of the fridge. It helps keep stains from sticking to glass shelves and prevents food spills from making glass potentially stick to their frames making cleaning the undersides nearly impossible. Food Bin Liners made of paper cloth are excellent for keeping stains and debris off the bottom of the bins and staining them or having puddles of food spoil in the bins. Lastly, Clean the outside and inside of a Fridge or Bins with NATURAL or ORGANIC cleaners. You do NOT want to use any synthetic or toxic cleaners to be used inside a Fridge or Freezer.
My daughter is 2.5 years old and a really good snack for her are mandarin oranges in water or white grape juice. Another snack she really likes are dehydrated sweet potatoes. Both are really healthy options

I use 'fridge mats' for the same purpose. Easy to wipe over.

Washing veggies and fruits makes them go bad faster. Wash them right before eating, cooking :)

I've heard this as well but it probably doesn't matter too much depending on the way the milk is pasteurized.

quick tip: keeping tomatoes out of the fridge is better (keeps all it's good vitamins and minerals)

Great video. I love the Oui yogurts cause you can use the jars after you eat them. I even found small canning lids that fit right on the jars. I use them for dressing and dips for lunch and sometimes I just refill them with yogurt.

For someone like me who lives in Japanese-style House( which I designed), organization of a Fridge is critical for health and hygiene.
First thing is, how many people are using it?
Second thing is, what foods and drinks do you use the most?
Third thing is, how much diversity do you feel you need with your ingredients or supplies?
Fourth thing is, how much rotation do you go through per week or every two weeks?
These four questions help decide where things go in a Fridge, how much is necessary, how much space can be allotted for ingredients, and how quickly items get consumed. If an item gets buried in a Fridge or forgotten about because it is isn't immediately visible, it can go bad quickly and cause all sorts of contamination or health problems. It is also important that if you can afford to, buy a new fridge with bins for Produce, Meats, or Dairy with moisture controls. This helps keep food fresh longer and can save hundreds to thousands of dollars a year from food not going bad too quickly or getting frozen from too much Moisture at too cold a temperature.
The biggest hurdle with Fridge maintenance is keeping it CLEAN. Plastic shelf liners with grooves in them can be placed onto glass shelves so most food stains, food crumbs or debris, or liquid can be wiped off and out of the fridge. It helps keep stains from sticking to glass shelves and prevents food spills from making glass potentially stick to their frames making cleaning the undersides nearly impossible.
Food Bin Liners made of paper cloth are excellent for keeping stains and debris off the bottom of the bins and staining them or having puddles of food spoil in the bins.
Lastly, Clean the outside and inside of a Fridge or Bins with NATURAL or ORGANIC cleaners. You do NOT want to use any synthetic or toxic cleaners to be used inside a Fridge or Freezer.
