It was nice to return to Okehampton, if you were there, please feel free to share your experiences, would love to hear them. Like to say a special thank you to AJ Omega which you can subscribe to his channel here: ruclips.net/user/HeyItsAJOmega
Brilliant its great to see the Dartmoor line reopen all the stations on this route are really nice i def need to ride this line if i do Devon in the future
Devon a lovely place, including the Dawlish Sea Wall but it was only 1 station that reopened, the other two were already opened but wanted to include them in. Thanks Michael.
Thanks for sharing Simon, it's great to see railways get their passenger services restored, especially rural lines like this one, I quite like rural railways. And I love that cat.........
It’s been such a long time since the Dartmoor Line closed to passengers. Now it’s finally reopened to passengers and it’s wonderful to see the line reused once again. And you are with AJ.
It did had a summer Sunday service back in 2019 but a limited sparse service but now had a reinstated timetable and one train arrived this morning for Exeter had 60 people waiting for it. So they starting to use the train.
Great video Simon. Got to give credit to Network Rail and GWR for their efforts of reopening the line and the stations of Crediton, Okehampton and providing a great service with 150s. Hopefully some 158s, 165/166s might end up on the line as well.
Thanks West London Transport & Wildlife, it did see a HST Castle set in 2019 with a charter from Okehampton to Weymouth which I think that was a Saturday but I do agree that it's hats off to GWR and Network Rail getting the line sorted in 9 months. would be nice if more units do travel on the line.
Great vlog Simon. Nice to see Okehampton getting a regular service! I’m actually thinking of a holiday down that area next year so I’ll have to go down the Dartmoor line.
Incidentally i was also at Exeter but on August 19th looking for a certain 150/0 Sprinter lol. Seriously though GWR + Network Rail have indeed done an amazing job with the Dartmoor Line and the Logo from Tom Watson is awesome! I've enjoyed your day out to Okehampton Cyber and it's goose to see AJ Omega too, That Cat at Newton St Cyres is adorable, BELOVED DEPARTING BARNSTAPLE You Sexy Sprinter! Looking forward to your next adventure as always! Indeed Count: 1 To Be Honest Count: 2 150001 Sighting: 1
It's Tom Watts, but it was a great day and it was nice to spend some of the day with AJ Omega, that 150001 was filmed in 2019 but remember travelling at 0545 in the morning listening to music while on route. Thanks TicoSprinter
Brilliant Vlog. :) It's so good that Okehampton has got a regular service again, I really do hope the reinstate the line between there and Gunnislake. :)
When it was announced, I was interested in the time and prices were good so decided to book it. Nightmare to get work off for this but was lucky to have it off. Thanks James.
Ah I was there that day, being a university student at Plymouth I was able to be on the first departure out of St David’s at 06:32. Most certainly a special day for me despite me being primarily a bus enthusiast! 😄
On the day of filming Okehampton was running a hourly service, instead of the 2 hour and they passed each other at Crediton and they were running a smooth service, the chaos would happen if a train is running late, possible they could double track the line
Good to see that the form has been reformed into public trains services but sad to see that most of the Preserved Heritage Stock saw fates over there, I hope more stock find new homes over there actually
There is still a few things that is left behind, the Dartmoor Railway still have the Gronk which is featured in this video and a few coaches, they planning to reinstate the heritage line back to Meldon Viaduct. But it depends if they still want the Railway go back to Plymouth.
@@Sim0nTrains I know there are a few MK1 and MK2 Coaches still knocking about like the form Serco Driving Trailer Coach which was from a 4TC Unit and a Class 117 TSOL Coach as well the 2 Thumpers that where based there not long ago from now where the more recent ones that left the Dartmoor Railway

It was indeed that the help point did help 😂 thanks barrowc

@@Sim0nTrains They did a good job. It was also meant as a slight pun on the station Crediton as well.
@@westlondontransportwildlif5810 Was thinking about the Crediton pun there as well, would had been a great pun :D

It's worth a holiday down there, that's what I did in 2019 and visited Okehampton during my Holiday. Thanks Sam
Fantastic video Simon great to see another line and station reopening

Okehampton is starting welcoming again
Yes, nice to see the station returned to the National Network
@@Sim0nTrains yeah after 50 years
Great video Simon. I see you be friended a cat lol. Looks like you had fun.
It did thanks, that Cat appeared out of nowhere, saw me and headed my direction so just set the camcorder up. Thanks Jacob
Timetabling chaos ahead unless they upgrade the line between Crediton and Cowley Bridge.

Nice to see a station cat
It was nice to see that cat, there a RUclips shorts with just the cat coming out tomorrow (just the same footage which you see on here)
Waiting for the Skipton to Colne line to reopen and the Keighley Worth Valley Line to have public passenger service.
You can see my reflection on 150232 that we rode back to Exeter!
So you was in the video after all lol! Thanks Nick
@@Sim0nTrains No worries
Brilliant Simon if still in the west country I'm in Cornwall are you venturing down here at all?
Was only there Friday and Saturday being honest but wouldn't mind heading down there next year, thanks Dave
Well matey, there is alway an iron brew here for you bud, or pint whatever you prefer, it would be great to meet you 👍
That cat was so cute
It sure was, sure it said Hello as well lol
Lol 😂
5:29 Oh, why is a cat in the station?
It just showed up and wanted a fuss but guessing it live nearby
And you didn't think to make any kind of joke about being 2 years late on the same unit?
No because had to be quick on that part. only had a 5 minute turnaround.
