Phuzzy. I don't know if you know this already but if you hold a treasure chest and only sell the insides to the sovereign you cankeep hold of the chest and pick up 3 more trinkets in order to make selling a lot faster.

Tiny little tip if you're doing this solo. you don't need to cancel the voyage to start a new one. Just select a new voyage and it'll overwrite the existing one instantly. Saving you a whopping 3 seconds. :)

Master tip: Most of the time you will get Grade 5 athena before you put in the veil stone of the 3rd voyage, keep that stone until after selling, Then lower and raise emissary and put the stone in, you will go to athena grade 2,5 before even starting a new voyage. Meaning, you can do the same run again but only with 2 shipwrecks before you hit grade 5 again! Goodluck on the seas!
I was about to comment the same thing, my crew always do like this!
Only problem with that now is when you lower your flag, you lose your emissary quests and they've tried to condense them down to make them quicker yet still high value loot
Many people commented many tips so I’ll just give my small tip: If you haven’t finished Shores of Gold, you can still use heart of fire tall tale to get to devils roar.

I was nervous at first if Rare caught on to this trick and stopped spawning Veil quests in The Roar with the table update. Glad it’s still there.

I'm still trying to figure out what he's telling us. I just started trying to sail with this Athenas faction and I'm not getting hardly anything for gathering cursed chests or especially that damn Skull of Destiney. I don't mind working in the Devils Roar area, but this vid is soooo edited it's jumping from one thing to another too fast. Even at 0.5 speed I'm not getting it.

Get Athena emissary flag (you need Pirate Legend to do this)
When in Devil's Roar (any part), start a 'Legend of the Veil' Athena voyage (PICK 'SAIL TO LOCATION' NOT DIVE)
Keep cancelling and restarting the voyage until your quest book has you locating a shipwreck for the first part (other times it will have you go to someone on an island, cancel those)
Once you have a shipwreck version, head to the location in your questbook and clear the shipwreck of all Athena loot (anything that raises your Emissary level)
Place the small gem (one that you find in one of the treasure chests behind the locked Captain's quarter) onto the relic to the left of your ship's wheel (relic is on your ship automatically when voyage starts)
Repeat these steps until you have Level 5 Emissary, turn in your loot and emissary flag, then start again
@@buzbom1 The skull of destiny is only for starting the Fort of the Damned, its not really an Athena voyage but only pirate legends can do them so you get a tiny tiny bit of Athena rep just for completing it. Also the cursed chest voyages are not good for Athena either but there is a small chance you get a Chest of Legends. It's kind of the same thing as the skull of destiny voyage in that only pirate legends can do it but its not good for Athena rep. Tbh I think Rare could've put those voyages in its own category like "Pirate Legend Voyages" or something, I can see why some people may be confused by this. When it comes to Athena, you have two choices, a Voyage of Legends, where you go to 3 islands and after completing those quests, it will give you a map to a 4th island which is guaranteed a Chest of Legends(which are waaaay better now, used to be like 8 islands and barely any Athena treasure, now its all Athena treasure and you can complete 2 in an hour) the other quest is a Legend of the Veil which is what Phuzzy is doing in the video.
Basically what he's doing is starting a Legend of the Veil voyage and there are a few different sub-quests that are randomized. One is the haunted island which will say something like "look for belle on this island", another will say "Sudds is here", and the one you want will have a picture of a shipwreck that says " ship went down ex. north of Ruby's Fall". If you start a voyage and it says anything but having a picture of a shipwreck, you cancel and vote up a new one until you get a shipwreck. The shipwrecks give the most treasure in a small amount of time which is why they are ideal. So you go to shipwreck, get the loot, put the stone in, cancel the voyage, start up a new one(canceling if necessary if you don't get shipwrecks) and do that 3 times until you get grade 5 emissary, then sell and repeat. Worth noting that voyages are dependent on where you are on the sea of thieves and starting them in the Devil's Roar is a good place because of how small the area is and like Phuzzy said, its kind of like its own map so its less sailing whereas if you do this outside of the Roar, it could send you anywhere outside of the Roar and can be alot of sailing. Hopefully this helps.

A small tip: If you start at plunder outpost you will be travelling between “North of Shark Bait Cove” and “ North of Plunder Valley” which are like a 1-2 minute sail apart! :D
I still enjoy doing all three chapters of The Veil. I always feel accomplished and It's fun getting The Chest of Legends. Will use this approach too when I'm short on time.
Ugh, Athena needs new missions, Veil's are so boring, i have no motivation to do them.
Spamming veil shipwrecks in the roar was always my go to method. Still is. I teach new PLs to do this if they don't already know. It's nice now that you can dive to marrow peak if you spawn in the shores of plenty.
I can already see how devs will "address" this. They will nerf the loot from shipwrecks and FORCE you to do the whole voyage for value. They will make us play how THEY want. Instead if how it SHOULD be where they add more loot throughout the voyage to make it lucrative to complete or do more more of the voyage. I prefer the shipwrecks myself and i never do the final stage when im solo. Its so much work for less reward. I just do the first two stages and drop it for another.
I have always said; if your playerbase puts more effort into AVOIDING your mechanics than doing them... the problem is your mechanics.
Too many devs these days just blame the playerbase and force players to do it how the devs decide it should be done.
They already did what you mentioned here after I made the old Athena video, two months after that, Shipwrecks Athena loot was nerfed. I hope they don't go any further.

This is why you aren't getting level 5. Check in the video, I put the veil stone in the mask before cancelling 🙂 that gives you a lot of reputation

Good information again Phuzzy, I got to Athena level 4 the week after I got to Legendary (50 in all 3 reps) then have not touched it since trying to get all reps to 75, now of course the sky is the limit.
I usually save the 3rd veil stone. Since the 2 plus the loot will get you grade 5. Then lower. Reraise without doing em quest. Gets you grade 2 right off the bat for free from putting in veil stone. Obviously don't have to. But if you want grade 5 faster for safety to sell. It works.

shit was broken when you could stack like 8+ emmisary quests then just do them all in like 1.5 hours cuz they all the same islands

I remember getting to level 30 was such a pain. Now get to level 100 5 times? I really cba. I’ll wait until season 15 when it gets easier and less time consuming
I don't think it's that bad anymore. Now there are more opportunities than ever to get Easy Athena loot. I've already gained 15 levels from Fort of Fortunes and some basic Athena raids. The other companies will level naturally I feel just cause we are always getting that loot

Dont know if someone else is doing this: a) Run an Legends Chest voyage on Devil's to get to level 4. b) Do a Vail Shiwreck to get to lvl 5. c) Go sell and get emissary voyages.. One you pick them d) drop another Legend Chests on Devil's. Almost sure you'll get both voyages on same 3 islands. That way you'll end up with 3 Legends, plus perks.
Just tried this got 1 island in the legends chest voyage that differed from the emissary islands but still worth it
I don't really like doing the shipwrights on these.. because I majority of times play solo, and all both the other things is easier to deal with as an solo.
This is much better. The first day it came out I did at Tina for 3 hours and got a 16th of a level. It would have taken 30 veil missions to get one level from 30 to 31
With the new athena voyage changes, I gained 7 almost 8 levels in an hour and a half maybe 2 hours completing 7 ashen athenas with my friend. Go to ashes reaches or the devils thirst and start an ashen athena voyage, usually when starting the voyage there, you force the game to have your athena steps on those two islands, cutting your travel time down to under 5 minutes. I made easily over 400K (one ashen athena sold for around 22k, with the G5 emissary bonus being 30k)

usually two shipwreck graveyards are enough ... but one of them has to spawn an additional item - which happened to me more often than not...
Great method, Right now im level 67! I was 30 and took me 2 days to earn 37 Levels! But it getting grindier
You got 37 levels in 2 days …. That’s kinda crazy. Was it just from doing shipwrecks ? Or are some of the raid voyages worth it ?

I found a way to get up to level 5 athena emissary quickly. Not sure if it's as efficient as this and gives you as much money. I was doing raid voyages to the Siren Treasury, quickly completing the puzzles and getting the treasure to the mermaid structures when I accidently died to a shark, when I respawned all the original loot spawned as well so I got double loot from the treasury (it was generic coral loot so just some extra loot to have). I then sold and did this a few times and got to emissary 5 and did the emissary voyage. Tried today as a different trading company and it worked 10x better as the second set of loot also gives you emissary level.
I watched the old video this morning and have been doing this for hours in the roar today. I'm getting basically 2 lvls per hour if you include the athena loot from the 3 ship modules it's taking me for the grade 5...now that I know the emissary quest is a waste of time i'll be even more efficient! Thanks Phuzzy!!
(Edit) I reached pl100 today using this method. Great way to lvl up low effort while watching movies on another screen!
Oh it was super easy for me, so I got the burning blade, and when I was getting the orb my wifi crashed, when I came back we had like a 60 streak which got me to lvl 100 from where I was. Super easy, amazing update.
Could you do one on reaper? Or is it just the same stack world events, hg, and steal from other people?

After level 100 doesn't really matter. I think there will be new Athena voyages during this year so hopefully that will help with the sanity.
If you dive to a Treasury as an Athena Emissary and pick up every Trident while you're in there (there's usually around 10 Tridents and they each grant you Emissary Grade) you can get to Grade 3 and 7/8ths before leaving the Treasury as long as you put all the Athena loot and Tridents on your ship. Then I went and found an Emergent Ashen Guardian, killed him and dug up the Ashen Chest and got to grade 4. Sold and dove again to a Skeleton Fort which got me to grade 5. Once I unlock Skeleton Fleets I'll be doing that instead. Quick Emissary grade, quick rep, and good gold income! A balanced way of progressing Athena's Fortune! 😃

If you want to kill two birds with one stone, check the ships for fish in the barrels and mermaid gems and sell those to the hunter's call.
Krakens NEVER target me so this has been a nice way to get my commendations for turning in kraken meat.

Once you get to level 40, the skeleton fleet voyages are just as good as they are for OoS. I think I will use this to get to grade 5 though, thank you!

I got 5 ships each run Only did it twice to get to Grade 5. When I looted the fish in barrels first then collected treasures, by the time i was done the barrels were restocked with more fish! Lots of kraken meat and rare fish for Hunter’s Call 🤩 Thank you for this vid!

The new questing system makes grinding loot solo SO much easier!. I never liked the devil's roar solo because i felt the hazards were too annoying that it defeated the purpose of other people not being there and not chasing you. Now? Now if i want to get a bit of gold with minimal risk i plop down a low level ashen gh quest, which gives you a map of a small island with two x marks on it. The higher quality one gives you a map with 3 x marks on it but they are ALWAYS on larger island and when you are solo that stress is too much for me. The lower tier chests give 1000 gold minimum minus emissary bonus so, easy gold. This is just another fun easy way to make money and rep for a solo.
One thing I notice when you draw the Veil with the shipwreck found "East of Fetcher's Rest," is that you tend to get caught between two volcanoes. Finding Athena items on shipwrecks is especially fun when I play solo, but I don't like when mine joins the wrecked ships and it happens so very quickly if you hear the eruption while in that bottommost ship.
Check one off on your goal for 150 purchases broski. I just got injustice 2 legendary edition for 3$. Also thanks for all the tips, i wouldnt be were im at today without them.
i feel like i'm missing something obvious but for the lfie of me i can't get the sunken ship part of the veil quest to start first. 30+ tries, tried from the roar, shores of gold, you name it. bah
tbh an entire veil is fast to complete if you know what you are doing (and that fking old man dont send you to the other side of the map). HOWEVER, I do not know how much reputation 1 veil is worth. So Your method is indeed probably faster. Tnks for the insight

I’ve finally felt an urge to grind the game again so that way I can get the “Crusader of Athena’s Fortune” title.
Honestly, anyone who's into pvp I'd recommend the hourglass, at fist it can be slow but the high tier flags and streaks can provide so much reputation
Even though this seemed to show more progress per time spent, I might still doing the whole Veil for awhile while leveling Athena, since I still need to do more for the Commendation. Most recently got the Commendations complete for destroying Emplacements and Forts, so there's that
Just did two of these. Can confirm you're able to get up to 8 pieces of Athena loot. Got 7 on the first and 8 on the second. Was solo.
I feel like me as a solo slooper pretty good at the game been playing for awhile so it might just be me but I can finish a whole veil in like 20 minutes to get level 5 emmi and not as annoying
The loot sinks to the ground really fast so I have to harpoon it after every shipwreck. Is that normal? Makes it a lot slower to complete
pov: you grind level 30 athena for a month straight and 2 years later they add 70 levels 😢

i do only the legend of veil and after the update and i find several loot inside each other my highest was 8 and go easy to lvl 5 athena flag is this a mistake after the update ?
Hey Phuzzy, I was using your shipwreck strat but I tweaked it a little. Instead of getting all of the loot from the ships, I only got the log book, got the key, and then got the loot inside the grims fortune. After one hour, I was able to complete 5 as a solo and got roughly two levels

This method is boring and arguably less efficient than just stacking full LOTV's. A decent crew can knock one out from start to loot on board in 45 min. My crew can do them in 25-30.
This is however a solid choice for the PVP adverse
I think bell missions are pretty quick too.

not that raids have trinkets as highest valuable, it's really cool 'cause you can easily hide it better or put it in one of your many chests. Not a big shiny glowing chest to easily spot and steal anymore!

You can’t dive to a tall tale and then immediately dive again though.
Hey phuzzy decided to use your method today and accidentaly found a sort of bug that makes it waaaay easier. After being in the roar and getting the shipwreck graveyard, DC your internet and reconnect (you should be dc in game just click the option to reconnect) from this moment on, all shipwreck segments in veil will spawn in a vertical formation instead of being scattered around the main ship makes it waaaay easier to bring loot up and faster to look!
This would be considered cheating and exploiting. I wouldn't keep doing this.

Yes you can. You can do Athena emissary right away. You don’t have to get to level 15. Just buy the flag from the pirate king in the secret Athena hideout. 👍🏻

@@MrGuigto no I mean the whole voyage. I was only able to get one shipwreck to spawn. Tried 2-3 other ways as well. All I get after the 1st shipwreck is Spud
Probably a bug, especialy if you have done this during comunity. I checked yesterday and had 3 shipwreck to spawn juste like in the video. So its not patched but maybe buggy like the rest of the game ^^@@IamSUTRA

Storage crates!! Before leaving the outpost, once the emissary flag is raised, buy a storage crate and it will give you Athena rep, then you can complete this with 2 shipwrecks
