    Just a comment from an old grandma here... Instead of trying to hold the pipe so it doesn't go back in the hole use vise grip tightened on pipe I stead. Pipe & vise grips can't fall I to hole. Frees up one more hand to use where needed. This probable doesn't make sense to anyone but me😊

    I really needed this. I can't get my new pump to work either. Hope I dont have to remove my new water heater again. Think I'll feed new big water hose (shares cavity with the water heater / too far to reach from Inside) and vent to the inside, wrap around my water heater and drop it down through the floor to the tank. Gonna replace the fill and vent hose too. I need a vid to show me how to get to the boondock water tank. Got one?
    Thks for this info.

      @GimpyCamper  4 года назад

      Jrhnhemp sorry but I don’t have a video on the tank. That will have a lot of variation based on the camper. As far as the pump.... is it getting power to it? Is it making noise like it’s trying to run? Sometimes (more with the older ones, they need to be primed.

      @@GimpyCamper Thanks for your response!...well I think my city water check valve failed. My new pump wont turn off. I have a new one of those new water hookups with check valve coming. Found another vid that mimicked my problem on my 2008 Frontier Hyperlite issue. Replacing that check valve solved the same problem on his 2008 rv. Pump troubleshooting guide suggests that's my problem too.
      So far, I've replaced the cooling unit on my frig, replaced my water heater, and my water pump. Just gave my ac a good coil cleanup and condensation drip pan cleanup. It works but it's old too. When my pumps working right and I change out both water hook ups, I'm gonna replace my ac with a new one. I use this rv for per diem work and all the rv repair shops are so expensive and so backed up with scheduled work, if my ac went out, it would take me out of the trailer for a month (That means a hotel). AND cost a fortune. For approx $750, I can get a new one that I can install in my own yard in less than a day.
      Regarding the water tank...
      I think I just have to remove the belly plastic cardboard to find my fresh water tank. I found a vid showing what they look like when uncovered. Hose clamps and new hoses are in route too for my fresh water tank/inlet. (If I go in there, everything's getting replaced. The original lasted 8 yrs)
      Thanks again!

    • @GimpyCamper
      @GimpyCamper  6 месяцев назад

      Yes it just pops out but I’m not sure what type of camper you could fill by hand through the city water connection, the ones that fill through the hose there require pressure. The separated tank fill doesn’t have a screen

    Why does my fresh water inlet leak? Does it have anything to do with city water valve?

    • @GimpyCamper
      @GimpyCamper  3 года назад

      Hmmm. So you are saying that water overflows out of the water fill. Hmm. When does this happen? Is it when you have the pump or when you are on City water

    sure is dwindled after being on a couple of seconds. This is happening not on the water pump. Just using my city water source. I have been able to take a shower this way and not have to use my pump. Now I cannot with a trickle after that initial burst of pressure. I l looked for leaks inside and outside and have found none. Any ideas ?

    • @GimpyCamper
      @GimpyCamper  4 года назад

      I guess the first thing I would do is disconnect the water and try putting water in the tank and using the pump. If that fixes the issue it would be low pressure coming into the camper. You can try removing the pressure reducer if you have one as well.

      @@GimpyCamper I did learn that if you replace your city water intake check valve to keep the O ring and screen because you can then place that into a camco regulator to catch any debri. Save you about 12.00 dollars.

    When you say you're going to do something "real quick," then do so. You had so much dead time in the video that you got very dull to watch. We don't care if there's a dog that doesn't like what you're doing, how often you sprayed for bugs or other BS. Also, it would have been a nice extra to show how you retrieved the connection after you lost the grip and it went back up into the trailer wall.
