Nick; you need to invest in a larger Kei truck and an aluminum car trailer. You'll still be driving a Kei truck, you'll have one behind you for delivery AND if you find another one along the way you can bring it home. Now I wish you went live.. It sounds like something came unattached as you were driving; not linkage. Being it's grinding when you put it in park that means the transmission IS working. It's something in the drive terrain. Dang! All that oil. Seems like an axle.
My favorite part is driving these cars to the new owners and it also shows that I'm selling a reliable car. But if the new owner is VERY FAR then yeah I would just set up transport with Mendy imports or someone else
There is no such thing as a larger Kei truck. The physical size of all Kei vehicles is completely limited by Japanese laws. There’s a maximum length, maximum width, maximum height, maximum engine size and maximum engine output. Are you suggesting a much larger truck like a Toyota LiteAce?
Hey I will say he is right. Doesn’t even have to be a JDM you can pick up a good diesel truck for 10k max and an aluminum trailer is prob another 4K. It would be sweet
@@Waybeforethefame as you are not selling a large number of cars right now you can probably get away with this. Occasionally a car will breakdown which is a bummer but it is good for a video
10:00 sweet baby jeasus. Ur diff blew out. Hope its a diff seal and it just blew all the fluid out. If thats the case u may have naded the clutches in the trans. If its like the d series autos u might not have to worry about that. Those are weird lil jobbers.
Well I was thinking Peppermint Lemon but I think Coconut Lemon mentioned below wins it! Sorry to see this, after all the detailing and work - but if I was the buyer I'd stick with it. All the work has been documented and the (unfortunately) the forthcoming work will be as well. Plus its just a cool car!
Hopefully it isn't a white elephant lemonade. It seems like you have narrowed it down to a bad CV Axle. The possible causes also can be 1) Check Engine Light is On which will shut everything off 2) Dirty or low level of transmission fluid 3) Broken shifter cable or shifter linkage 4) Malfunctioning Range Sensor/Neutral Switch 5) Bad control solenoids of valve body 6) Worn out Clutches and bands
With an open differential, even if one axel is still in the transmission, the axel thats out spins freely. Jack up the front on Jack stands with the back wheels chocked, and put in gear to see what's spinning or not.

Just popped out should be ok make sure it snaps into place and fill with fluid.

Lets hope for a quick fix
@ Seems its fixed?
Check transmission linkage and torque converter, only things i can think of
Luckily just the axle 🙏
@@Waybeforethefame tranny linkage would have been more simple and cost effective, at least it wasnt super bad
Good news if it is just a popped out Axle!!! It still sucks it had to happen on your delivery trip!!!
I know but luckily it happen to me and not the new owner
@Waybeforethefame Yeah for sure! And you were not too far from home at least!
Man I want a mini truck now. Lol I need to call the Missouri DMV and see if I can get one street legal.
You got this!
Sorry, Nick, wish it would have turned out better. Hope things work out with the buyer.
Same
S-MX is the Horchatá. 🥤😋

It end up being the axle
Most likely not a transmission failure. More likely a CV joint failed or the axle itself popped out.
You were right! 🤦♂️

Least the SMX will be up and running in no time. Still a cool car though!
Without reading through all the comments, I propose the "Marshmallow Lemon" 😊
