Thanks. Glad it was of some use. Here's a playlist of other Ioniq EV videos if you want to learn more, see ruclips.net/p/PLW0oq-rvufntC8Qk6ONQjJ7nncwqhp9LL
I have an MG and it does have lane keep assist and I do not like it. It feels like you are driving on a rut. The worse is that it is not always trying to do the same as you so some times it you are fighting it then suddenly it pushes the other way.
That's because it sets of an alarm if you do. The law requires hands to be on the wheel. However, the car is still doing the steering and will only use your input if it is significant.
@@GoGreenAutos ahhh so it was steering itself but you just had light contact with the steering wheel? Would it work if you just rested one hand on the bottom the whole time?
@@brookeleder5260 In reality, you have to keep moving the wheel. It needs to keep seeing your input. Frequently while driving on a straight road (like a motorway) with two hands on the wheel, it alarms as it thinks I have no hands on it. The detection isn't sensitive enough. But you get used too it.
I felt slightly car sick just watching this! Then you passed an oncoming large truck and your hands were briefly off the wheel. Phew. Gotta go and lay down.
Comments full of keyboard warriors and negativity but for someone looking at this model of car, I found it interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Semi autonomous cruise control superb...
It's good but I can't see what you are touching or moving to get those settings to work
All done via the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel.
yes, thanks, but how does it perform in nasty stop and go traffic?
I've been through Brum using ACC and LKA in a Ioniq and a Kona - all good :)
another great video, thanks !
Don’t you find the way the steering wheel tugs in your hand a bit annoying? I’ve just got an eNiro and it has the same system.
Yes at first it is very strange, but you soon get used to it and I kept it turned on all the time.

@@franciscoshi1968 The MG autosteer/lane keep isn't as good as the Ioniq.
@@GoGreenAutos I agree the lane assist is better on the Ioniq vs the zs ev but how does it compare to pro pilot ?
@@pwave123 For the limited time I've used ProPilot, I would say the Ioniq and MG ZS EV are better. But I rarely use any system - I prefer to drive.
Self driving or co pilot Not working all not able to stir itself without driver touching it!!
Its supposed to autosteer for you but you barely ever let go of the steering wheel to demonstrate its capability.

@@brookeleder5260 I have the new one, it only sets alarm if cruise control isn't on. Or if the road sensors don't sense the road

I'll take you out in it on the A34 at rush hour with all the trucks.....oh, there's no longer a rush hour!
@@GoGreenAutos oh no you won't! :-)
