Funko is going the same as TY Beanie Babies. No surprise.
Wow I haven't seen this comment for the 50th time. Maybe you should learn about funko pops before commenting on them.
TY is a multi BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY. I think people forget about that. Funko is only worth 500 Million Dollars as a company. TY is worth over 6 BILLION DOLLARS! TY is worth 12x more than Funko. Funko could only wish they went the way of Beanie Babies since the company who makes beanies is worth 6 BILLION Dollars.
@@Decade_of_the_Dawg TY also ran on the same principles, that Funko uses. If you learn about TY then you would know it's a real possibility that FUNKOS keep crashing, because people only kept them for the value.
@ells5656 there is a huge difference. Funko is pop culture which isn't going away and TY is a damn stuffed animal. I've literally never met anybody who collects pops because of value. We collect because it's characters we love and memories of our childhood. If you are only in it hoping to strike it rich with a toy than good riddance. Go to a con or a hobby shop and tell me funko is dying. Just because people aren't getting insane values for them don't mean anything. Another thing FK will not tell you in his videos is whatnot is part of the problem. Ppg was not even using whatnot sales so they weren't being factored in.
@@Decade_of_the_Dawg I live in the UK and some shops around my way have some pops for £1 and still can't get rid of them but then I guess the days of needing a plastic version of character from an old game or tv show is dying
😂 the market for collectors is alive and kicking. The market for flippers is dead. Thank god the market is starting to average out. Pops are going back to what they should be and not the inflated covid prices.
Flippers leaving the market is bad bad news for Funko. Resellers/flippers is what brings the value into any collectibles space. Funko is on the downward projection and all collectors really need to hope flippers/resellers come back to Funko.
I was recently at Dallas Fanexpo. Pop collectors were in full force.
@@FranchiseKicksI hope they stay away, can actually get the pops I’ve always wanted, good riddance to flippers/resellers
@@FranchiseKicksthey wont. Sports cards and sneakers have also plummeted.
@ayeitskq you're right and you don't hear anybody say panini is the new beanie babies.
I bet you'd wished that you had not over bought and actually opened everything when you bought it.
I sell old vaulted pops for a large profit still to this day. Everyone was just riding that covid/market high. Things have normalized a bit maybe a little under valued bc the economy isn't great. Most collectibles across the board are down not just funko. Still plenty of flippers out there it's just not insane 10X anymore. That was never sustainable or realistic for anything. It's honestly a great time to buy low.
Yep, u can thank you and the other flippers for whatnot killing the "value"
When flippers/resellers left Funko Pops completely in 2023, the value died. Collectors hate flippers but without flippers, your collectibles have a lot less value as you are now seeing. You can hate flippers/resellers all you want but funko collectors are the ONLY collectors who hate resellers. Sports cards, comics, coins, antique cars ect. all have resellers/flippers and have for decades. No flippers/resellers, no value.
Just sold 5 stickerd dated pops from 2014-2016 for 2x value. So cant say things are bad. 2 from Anime and 3 from horror pops. I guess it just depends on what you have.
There’s nothing better than a Pop King Paul Mystery Box 📦
Period 😉
The Blade movie sounds like the Boondock Saints 3 movie
Again your editing is on point. That spin in the beginning…. Nice 🤙
thanks man, just playing around with the next level of editing techniques
I think Clint is surprised he made a bad bet holding these mystery boxes and where all here witnessing it live… yikes.. nothing is guaranteed a year after packaging. Best to always open and sell as you go if you are not a collector. Hopefully he doesn’t make the same mistake going forward
It's not a big deal, I still turn a nice profit with the RUclips ad revenue. Funko pop mystery boxes have always been for entertainment only purposes for this channel. The real money is made on RUclips ad revenue and RUclips channel sponsors.
Yikes lol
Dope shirt!!! 🔥🔥🔥
You helped the cause!
Cool video man. I might be different then some. I just get what i like amd value doesnt mean much to me plus it still good profite if u sell stuff that u got back in the day for retail price
Well have a good sale
Good pulls. But the market is up and down. But have to say i love the shirt 👕 you have on
Happy Birthday Clint!
thank you, I'm old now
Clint, regarding your funko's being loaded into your whatnot store front.
I'm assuming no more funko auctions on Friday shows, I'm assuming your not getting what your wanting out of them?
Im seeing a lot of other folks on WhatNot not thrilled selling live and losing money and not getting value or close to it because of their dollar start auctions.
I am not doing anymore Funko auctions on Whatnot. Funko are only selling for between 25-50% of what they are worth on Whatnot auctions now. I see A LOT more sellers taking the same path as I am and no longer doing Funko auctions on Whatnot. Funko Pops sell for way way way to cheap on auction now and us sellers are losing a crap ton of money. I will only sell as a buy it now here going forward, no more auctions.
@FranchiseKicks I figured. Live auctions the seller doesn't get much and is much better selling at the price you want and let the buyer offer. Appreciate the feedback!
Sorry the values have dropped. I have a large collection and only really add a select few to the genres I collect. However over the past few years I’ve started getting my pops signed at Comic Expos. I have 33 autographed pops now and most of my pops aren’t going anywhere for a long time. Pop value doesn’t mean much if you’re keeping them I guess. I wonder if the values for pops will go back up again or if this is the new normal.
Wow! Epitome of the loss due to funko...
Ouch but not suprised
Blade has been in development hell trying to find the right story, script has gone through a few rewrites by different writers. It was expected to film this summer, but a few weeks ago it went through another change, looking for new writer after ;landing on the story they want to tell, they announced Midnight Sons recently, so likely new story will include details and potential sequel bait for that story after.
Nice Twiztid shirt
Ohhhhhh ouch....so sorry
Prices probably hiked up during covid cause I can get a 40yr old action figure for what it’s actually worth and pops shouldn’t be 3 times their worth brand new! Its like a car when you buy it the value drops by half and slowly goes down until it’s hit 15-20yrs then should start to rise but people were locked inside for months and apparently picked up bad habits and bought stuff for way more than what it was worth. And eBay sellers like pray on people like that. So it’s probably going back to normal now
Absolutely. That covid pricing was never sustainable. Pretty much All collectibles are coming back down to earth. not just pops
@@Joemeetheus also, the economy is terrible. people are struggling to make ends meat. collectibles are first to feel the hit of that
During covid used cars were selling for new car prices. If people had that kind of money why not spend $500 on a pop that should be around $50. I bought a shared sticker bleach pop off the shelf at gamestop about 2 weeks before the actual release date. People with fomo were buying them on eBay for over $200 and then on release day the value sank. Now it's worth about $30
@@Decade_of_the_Dawg yeah prices during that time in everything wasn't real lol
@@tison7208Economy is terrible? wtf are you talking about? Another clueless brainlet just regurgitating crap they hear while knowing absolutely nothing 😂
I'm surprised people are still buying mystery boxes. No thnx
I'm suprised people still buy them in general
@@RonBurgandy-o5z true
Mystery boxes are dying off for funko pops, most companies are having trouble selling their mystery box runs of now. I keep seeing more and more companies having to send out promo codes for 10-20% in order to sell out their boxes.
HA!
People still collect them shits
that's the neat part. They don't. That's why the value is dropping.
I feel bad for all the money you have lost because of this re-pricing of Funko’s😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so happy they’re losing value, us collectors deserve this to get the pops we’ve always wanted.
Do you ever sell al the stuff you have over al those years of making youtube video's of it and still making i seen a lot of video's from you and can't imagine how to keep so much stuff you must be selling alot of it i hope 😅 Greetings from Holland
I still like Funko Pops but only get certain ones. I sold most of mine to pay bills etc. The Economy itself has caused people to sell a lot of items they have to pay bills and mortgages as inflation keeps going up. People sold collections cheaper and it appears it has hurt lots of collectors but most of all people like Clint who buy and resell.
We all got so spoiled when the pandemic checks inflated the market. Feels like an over-correction has occurred. Hopefully it'll bounce back to some degree
Inflation hits everything
😂
Homeboy sad he's gonna have to get a real job 😂😂💀
A real job? You have no idea the kind of wealth my wife and I have built up working for ourself. We could retire today if we wanted too.
@@FranchiseKicks If you could retire today why on some of your videos do you say you have a living to make.
@@truscottelli RUclips is for entertainment. Saying we have to make a living is all a part of the entertainment aspect for the viewers.
@@FranchiseKicks Thank you for your reply.

Once again why keep saying vaulted knowing it doesnt mean anything ?
I agree, vaulted doesn't mean anything anymore
You have to remember ppl r struggling due to the economy & that causes ppl to sell to make some extra $ & ppl aren't paying top dollar when the economy is bad. They're taking losses just to recover some funds.
That & the fakes selling for too good to b true prices cause fluctuations. Mind u, when I collected, I pd retail only & found it rather foolish to pay hiked up prices for a $10-$15 figure.
All that does is support the ppl who price gouge & thats something I refuse to do. Don't fall victim to hype & price will come down. Not interested in being part of the problem that ruins hobbies & collectibles for ppl. If no1 buys stuff at hiked up prices, there won't b any reason for ppl to buy all the stock, trying to profit off other ppl. Just like ps5. I waited til they were back in stock in local stores & on sale. I don't reward scalpers.
Good riddance to the pariah flippers and resellers! Them, and you as a result, leaving the market is nothing but GOOD NEWS for Funko and collectors. And reading some of your responses to people here. 🤣The coping is hard with this one! 🤣🤣 "We could retire today if we wanted." PLEASE DO! "Funko has only ever been for entertainment purposes on this channel." "Only accounts for 5% of our sales." "No more auctions because I'm not getting what I want out of them." Cry and cope harder. It's glorious!
This right here to a t. Its happening in the sports card market as well, and for actual collectors I cant be more happy about it. Good riddance to the flippers… finally!
You may think that, buy if pops all of a sudden can just be acquired by anyone at any time, because they're all so low priced, then they have no value..rarity of a pop can help, but high prices help keep them popular, resellers in this instance, only, are a big part of that...let's not forget toys like beanie babies..if everyone could just collect what they wanted, it would all be over..not being able to buy certain pops and chasing them is also what keeps them alive for collectors and buyers...especially because funky makes way too many, they need these people
Anybody in market for a house they put there up for sale
Lol yikes lesson learned stop hoarding
Why don't you hold on to the Pops a little longer lol
To be honest you're always losing, paying for storage for months and years, what a waste of money, I would never waist my money for storage. Lol
We have 2 huge storage units the size of small houses filled to the brim with goods to resell. Funko Pops are probably only like 5% of what we have in storage, very very little. I agree, I would never waste the money on storage units for just Funko pops.
You go off of PPG which WE ALL KNOW is trash 🙄, it's never updated and only takes sales from eBay. There are so many other ways to buy pops that it doesn't account for, which you never seem to talk about 🤔
Your laziness lost the money
idk, I only collect wwe funko's and all the ones I have either retain value or are worth way more than I bought them for.
