      Hey good morning buddy I can confirm if it’s 100% on the sin runeword then tiger strike + dragon tail (whether 50% or 100% will undoubtedly clear anything. It’s being able to hit consistently 100k plus dmg on rotation. Phoenix Strike while good and flexible isn’t a in same category with TS + Dtail at that point.
      It’s faster than any hammerdin at that point, potentially a max gear javazon would be still better due to pierce but sin is definitely doing more damage in burst consistency

      in my opinion they should leave the Sin runeword as it is and add the chance with hardpoints into claw mastery, finishers and maybe even the charge up skills, to be able to reach a 100% without beeing locked into two of these claws. This would end up in decisions in the game.
      Focusing on one element/physical gives you more skill points for the mastery and finishers and opens up the Weapon slot for something like plague.
      Going full out Phoenix strike takes a lot of skill points so you have to go with the new claws for triple elemental builds.
      Or going for a mix with 2 elements and 1 claw or something like that.
      In Addition to this they should make the finishers cycle through the charges on use instead of using the current charge multiple times. e.g.
      Dragon claw always uses the 2 highest charges 3+2
      Dragon Tail/Fly always uses the highest charge only
      Dragon Talon can cycle through the charges multiple times:
      A 5 Kick DT would use the Charges 3+2+1 and then start over again and use 3+2
      A 8 Kick DT: 3+2+1 / 3+2+1 / 3+2
      With this kind of mechanic you can still use the elemental charge up skills to their full potential, without dropping the ball for the physical oriented.

      They should put chance to not consume charges on claw mastery. Similar to what they did for throw barb. Accessing this mechanic only through an item reduces diversity in itemization. Adding 1% per hard point in claw mastery would be perfect imo.

    The "cannot teleport" with mark of the wolf/bear is probably linked to not being able to use any non-shapeshift skill with those buffs. You can't use BC/BO either. And if you play a Wolfbarb for example and you get the mark, you can't use any of your Barbarian skills when you unshift. My guess is that they did this specifically so that you can't use this runeword to prebuff on other classes.

    The main issue with metamorphasis is you cant transform into a bear/wolf from a wolf/bear. You have to go in human form and you are very vulnerable. You said my thoughts before i heard it.

      @@unholyarthur1 That too but im willing to just run aswell.With Burst of Speed and Feral rage youre pretty fast.
      Also on a druid to hit good FCR breakpoints u ll have to sacrifice alot of melee gear.
      But it will be good for the Shockwave build since it stacks FCR anyways.

      @@Hellaow I didnt say its meta or thebest.Every melee in Diablo 2 sucks more or less.
      The only real aoe is Whirlwind.
      Berserk barb is just an elite sniper anyways you TP,shout,Zerk,Hork basically whole different playstyle.
      While the changes are not anything special its still slighty better overall.
      Everyone knows that 80% if not more will not play ot try out the new "Builds" enabled by the Runewords they presented its just like any other game that revolves around meta.
      Untill something is nerfed and another buffed there is not shift and people who dont care about having a cool,fun,fantasy driven build just roll Sorcs,Hammer/Foh,Java and its each to their own so cant do shit without bigger changes really.
      They probably know that but are either lazy,have no time/resources or are afraid if they nerf the current meta they lose even more players than now.

    My biggest criticism is that runewords like hustle and metamorphosis will be mainly used for prebuffing. I think the unique effects of metamorphosis should belong in the skill tree, otherwise every single shapeshift druid will feel compelled to prebuff with it.

      Items that change playstyle cannot be best in slot for even builds that don't change their playstyle, otherwise every werewolf/werebear is forced to change their playstyle.

      I’m a shockwave bear and I’m not compelled at all. I have been goofing off with a hybrid version casting Armageddon, shockwave and using maul (/w Crushing blow).

    On top of your idea about removing the need to shift back to human... How about *WHILE WEARING* the helmet, you can use your wolf or bear abilities just by pressing the skill, and you shape to that corresponding form in one proceess? This would make it very fluid. You don't need to actually press werewolf or bear, just "Fury" then "Maul", for example.

      That is a great idea as this will be the play style for druid in diablo 4, however the coding would be harder. To fix druid and this runeword all they need to do is change the cast restriction value in skills.txt while shifted in werewolf + werebear to to enable all skills, much simpler and easier I could even do it for them

    They need to do more. This game can easily compete with path of exile if they put some energy into it. More end game content. Double or triple the number of uniques, sets, and rune words. Add more classes. Add an extra skill tree to each class. Give us an in game marketplace to buy and sell. Give us stash tabs to store more items and currency. Like this would cost them 10-15 mil and would draw lots of new people. I would pay for a full price expansion, or even multiple.

      They have to do something about the market. I refuse to play online/ladder because of how asinine the economy is in this game. D2jsp shouldn't be a thing at all and I don't care how many feathers that ruffles. Take your p2w trash elsewhere.

      Completely disagree on that. Noone has ever played all the viable builds in d2. Why would you add more? Before adding new unique and sets, you should rework the existing ones so that each one has at least one use case.

    99% of runeword usage (Outside stealth during leveling) is at high level, focused around end game usage. So adding mostly early game runewords is basically pointless and will see minimal usage. Annnnd it isn't like this actually addresses the issues of being a melee in D2, so even the 1 end game runeword, is still effectively useless outside niche scenarios.

      its going to be real hard to come back if they don't have some major balance changes for us to play with. S3 is just a S2 ReRun at this point and with Cold Mastery and the Cold Sunder unchanged the economy is going to be real bad real fast. my concern is that since they don't have an announced plan to run a Balance Pass through PTR the changes are either going to be minimal for S3, or a rush job; neither of which will be good for the game.

    Metamorphosis. Add +1charge in bear form and +1 leap attack in wolf. Buffs drop if you remove the item. And yes shift straight from wolf to bear.
    Claw. Make it more expensive but more worth it if you commit to it. Maybe Mal gul Zod and make it 50% and maybe a few other stats.
    Hustle armor - change to vigor aura on eq.

    Hustle in a bow in swap is a change for mid and late game bowazons.
    Now you can hit 7 fpa with Faith with no need of treachery or high ias on equipment.
    Now you can hit 7 fpa with Windforce
    Now you can hit 7 fpa with Mist
    Now you can hit 7 fpa with Ice
    Now you can hit 7 fpa with Mavinas set
    Now you can hit 7 fpa with Brand&Treachery
    Now you can hit 7 fpa with Wrath&Treachery
    All rw in GMB. You just need 1 point in strafe to proc it in like 1-2 tries, no more harmony on swap.
    Hell, in fact I think a physical amazon can now deliver similar DPS with WF socketed with a 40ES jewel, as with Faith.

    I think Metamorphisis should work in the sense, that only 1 mark can be active at a time, as a passive, depending on which form you are. So if you're werewolf, mark of the wolf is passively active and vice versa. To compensate for only being able to have 1 mark active they could buff the individual marks a little bit. The idea is that it's annoying to stack buffs all the time and also it dosen't make much sense from a logical standpoint, that you can have mark of the bear, when you're not even in bear form and vice versa. As of now it just seems a bit clunky to use.
    Also Mosaic is very weird, MrLlama touched on this, but the chance to not proc a charge can actually hinder your flow when you play the character, in the sense that you get into a rhythm of when your charges are up and when to activate them, but if one charge suddenly dosen't proc, you have to adjust a bit, and it just ruins your playing experience.
    Lastly i really don't hope they keep adding new mechanics to runewords from now on, instead they should focus on other stuff, like making set items and uniques more viable or implementing the loot filter or currency tab.

      Wish theyd get rid of that cancer wall of text, and jsut give the runeword a chance to grant 5-10 to werewolf or wearbear, and tack on those buffs associated with what it rolls.
      (Rolls helm- helm rolls for werebear - give 5-10 werebear and give helm attackspeed and CB as the buff to the base item.)

    Seeing a double effect version of mosaic (by that I mean 100% instead of 50 from the two) was neat, but also show cases how underwhelming the damage is even if you're rocking players 1. Personally I would rather the claws do a new effect: 100% chance to use whatever finisher is active on hot bar on the 4th charge up hit. (This would eliminate the tedious nature of playing the MA build that probably eliminates the overwhelming majority of players who might otherwise give it a spin). From there, you'd still have the option of whatever offhand you want, and the issues with actual damage could be dealt with by tweaking the skills themselves (on a personal note I would like to see the mechanics of dragon tail reworked so you don't have to worry about both physical and fire immunity on the skill). You could also make a point that it makes the item a requirement for all MA assassins which isn't good for diversity, in which case you could simply take the above advice on skills only, ignore the new effect, and just give the claw another plus to all skills or two making it a great addition to anyone who finds an amazing base to build from.

    I think the reason, why Druids aren't able to teleport while in werewolf form is because they should not be able to funtion as a caster class. That's why they are unable to cast any of the element skills (except zyklon, hurricane and armageddon, which are more like a "buff" than an actual attack spell). If druids would be able to cast teleport in werwolf form, and following from this be able to cast the element skills, it would make pure elementalist way more powerful. They would just put one point in werewolf and lycantropy, just to be able to stay in that form, because they would gain significantly more health, better hit recovery and way better casting breakpoints. In conclusion. If druid shall be able to cast teleport in werewolf form, it must be considered that elemental attack spells should not be able to be cast in that way. Thats of course just my personal opinion.

    I love that they are experimenting with new runewords but something just doesnt hit right.
    1. The names of the runewords dont seem to follow the old creative style in regards to their names and flavour. For example the Mosaic runeword doesnt inherently fit a claw weapon but had it been a shield it couldve made sense (ignoring the stats that is, which is also kinda the point)
    2. Some of the gameplay styles theyre trying to push on us seems like Diablo IV conditioning, especially the Metamorphosis runeword, the style of constantly changing forms is a narrative design from Diablo IV directly and it just doesnt work due to multiple limitations due to ability design as well as functional mechanical controls of the D2 druid.
    3. Piggybacking onto the New Metamorphosis RW, The design of conditional and rotational buffs stem from Diablo 3 and theyre so frustrating to deal with like convection of elements, its not fun, its tedious and immersion breaking.

      For me, Mark of the Bear / Wolf and the Mosaic "chance to not cost charges", both new game mechanics, feel like they are preparing the D2R players for Legendary Aspects to come in D4.

    My feedback
    Metamorphosis - Being able to have both marks at once just make this a pre-buff piece. Proc one mark, then proc the 2nd mark, then proc hustle burst of speed then proc anything else you need.
    Then finally you get 2-3 minutes of game play, before you have to do it all over again.
    I think it would be better to slightly buff both marks and then make then an on equip thing, not a pre buff. Then of cause that would mean you can only use one mark at a time, which is totally fine. Actually use it, not just prebuff then swap to a better weapon. Instant shapeshifting with this item equipped does not fix the issue of this thing being a prebuff piece and not something you actually want to wear while you attack stuff.
    Mosaic - 100% chance to not use charge is not always desirable. What if you want to use a lower level charge?
    Phoenix strike as an example. 100% chance not to use a charge just changed the skill from multi elemental to single elemental.
    I would rather see this as - "charges last forever and are not used by finishers" That way you can use a standard attack to remove a charge or two to get the phoenix element you need.
    Also charges not being consumed RNG does mess up your rhythm of spender and charger usage. I do like the concept here but the execution is all kinds of wrong.
    Hustle - The burst of speed, on it's own is better than the entire hustle armour. Hustle weapon as DB said has a few niche use cases but hustle armour has almost no use cases.
    Burst of speed needs to go. Because it is so good it can only be attached to anotherwise trash runeword so it is not OP. Give the runeword better stats so it can actually be usable.

    Regarding martial arts assa it would be a huge improvement to let the rune word crescent moon apply on claw as well.
    First of all you usually will not stack crushing blow on an assa, so in boss fights some hp dumper is missing. So getting static field would perfectly close this gap. Also providing lower enemy lighting ress would provide a massiv damage boost without any nees to pump up the ed value on claws.
    Imagine a plus three on claws of thunder with crescent moon claw pushing the dual wield assa to get finally serious.

    honestly if they want the druid to work better it simply needs to be able to shapeshift without cooldown from werewolf to werebear seemlessly and then it will bring new possibilities to the table. if they really wanna make it spicy make it so if u use maul or shockwave etc it auto makes you a bear and if you use rabies or fury etc a werewolf and allow teleporting and other oskills of the sort on were forms. this allows for a true shapeshifting char to be made and will completely change how its been for so long plus it will be more similar to how the portray druids in d4

    It seems like a pattern that often time the devs do go into the right direction but they don't go FAR ENOUGH. It was the case with Mosaic and it was the case with Skeleton Mages.

      The entire necro skill tree needs a rework. I just feel like the dev team doesn't have the resources to do it any more. judging by the content schedule since release the D2R team has been progressively shipped off to D4; which is why I don't think a Currency Tab will happen as the Art team would 100% be the first to go.
      to Mages specifically I think they need to all be one damage type. The idea of making them into Archers to use physical damage and synergize with Amp was floated but a lot of the community didn't like it thematically. Personally I would like to see them as all fire, making mage a fire skill, and have synergies with Fire golem and CE. Then you can wear -fire rez gear, pack a fire sunder, infinity and use Lower Resist to create a functional endgame Pyromancer build.

    The idea for Bulwark being a budget option for a merc when you do not have Steelskull, Vampire Gaze, Tal's, Andariels, etc is fine and good, but the Life Leech could be a bit higher and the Io Rune (in all of the new Helm RW's) needs to be a lower one.
    Then this actually would be really good for a SSF playthrough, if you do not have one of these other aforementioned helms.
    Also, mercs need Ring Slots, so the Helm Slots can be freed up for other things (because they could equip life leech rings).

    Want to make a good druid shape runeword don't be afraid to make it a 2 high rune cost thing and be really good. Make the shape changing organic and a play choice. Just have constant buffs not mark in each shape so you don't swap to buff. Give bearform fire absorb and chance to cast amp damage on hit. And wolfform give deadly strike and lightning absorb and runwalk speed. Remove the human form between swap. Then players might use bear against certain monsters and wolf against others or start Ubers with crush blow and once you proc amp damage quickly shift to wolf and fury with deadly strike. Amp damage doesn't last long so it's a quick decision to shift back and forth but you don't have to do it constantly to mark yourself. Just make the runeword more costly and even better endgame for shape druids. No mark buff just constant buff in each form so there's no swapping unless you see an advantage.

    For Hustle the Ko Rune needs to be dropped to a Hel. Then you could reliably farm it up at NM Countess use the FRW to make it to your endgame farming spot; ie to Hell countess to farm up all the other Runewords you mentioned. additionally by making it a Hel you could use the -20% requirements to slot it into a Exceptional Weapon/Armor and not have to pay the steep stat requirement.
    Edit: additionally on Mosaic the Thul needs to be swapped to a Shael. Thul gives cold damage that shatters bodies that your death sentry could use. by swapping it to shael you bump the IAS up to 40% which would help with IAS breakpoints, and doesn't really change the rune cost. I might argue about 100%, but 66-80% seems way more reasonable than 50% for 2 Gul (Vex) in cost.

    Enable unrestricted casting in shapeshift forms, it's a simple change in skills.txt, would also fix the runeword.
    Even with the ability to teleport while shifted Fury is still weaker than a simple telezealer so I can't see why they wouldn't
    Mosaic definitely needs 100%, It would make it low tier viable at least, Martial arts sin wouldn't even out clear casters if the charges never disappeared

    For the helmets :
    Add a randomly generated magic affix to the runeword
    For exemple : On a circlet, it could roll +2 to sorc skill or +3 to PnB skills.
    Or +2 shadow discipline skill on a regular helmet.
    Or even the visio affix…
    This would becomes a Runeword that will allow you to consume runes in order to get the desired affix, without it being too powerful.

    Metamorphosis is very intriguing but I play hardcore and I HATE gear swapping. I feel like every three minutes I need to unequip Jalal's, put this thing on, get the buff, switch back to Jalal's. Very tedious and I almost never self-buff with Enchant on Demon limb because it's too annoying and that buff lasts more than three times as long! A buff timer on the ui showing time remaining on buffs would help a lot. Just like battle orders, I don't want to suddenly lose a huge amount of health when a buff expires because I lost track of time.

    Imo the mosaic 25% should be removed and rework it, then they should just put the "25% chance for finishing moves to not consume charge" as a staff mod for claws so there is build diversity for assassin claws (this will be a step in the right direction to make MA viable) they can make it something that can roll between 25-50% on a claw or something.
    Would also like to see crescend moon in a claw.
    Shapeshifting between wolf and bear will never happen unless they fix that you are able to instantly powershift between the 2 instead of going out of bear to normal and then pressing the button again to go into wolf. Takes like 3-4 sec to do.
    Also make teleport available in shapeshifting forms, I could see a bear druid be pretty good at elite sniping like a zerker barb does ( ofc not as good since no find item )
    Would be a pretty fun build to be able to stomp elite groups in bear form with armageddon active then shock wave them and proceed to smack the living daylight out of the elite with fire claw.

    I always found it weird that when the assassin has 3 charges it only releases the 3 charge effect. I always felt it should release the 1 charge, 2 charge, and 3 charge.

      It does for FoF, CoL and BoF, the skills on the left side. It is debatable whether the same for Phoenix Strikd would be good, for Tiger Strike it is just the same buff three times.

    The only balance concern about dual mosaic being 100% is cobra strike. Just with level 1 being buffed by the claws, a 3 charge cobra is like 120% life+mana steal that would never run out and you’d literally never die.
    I PERSONALLY wouldn’t care since ma sin is kinda weak anyways and I think it’d be fun to have. But if I had to be objective about it… it’s probably not great to be in the game

    I played through Ladder 2 with a Phoenix Strike Assassin and I don't think 100% chance on Mosaic would fit her, since at times you want to get through one of the charges because the enemy is unique to that element so you can get to the other 2 elements which will actually do damage.
    Maybe that would work if PS cycled through charges on each hit instead of using the highest gained charge each time, but as it stands running into something that's cold immune and having to wait 15 seconds for your cold charge to clear so you can actually kill things would be terrible.

    Nicely put. My 2 cents is that I would not use a class and a specific tree for the runeword. I will always use the fastest way to reach from A to B. So I need fast movement, I choose the Sorceress since it has natively teleport. I want clear speed I choose Hammerdin with 15k damage. Is rather simple math. Not all of the players can play 2-4 hrs per day, proc-ing Fade, BoS, BO, BC and summoning stuff . You would try to maximize win and minimize effort. Thus the meta won't change.

    Yo DB you got it wrong with Moisac. I've got a build that's 100% P8 solo playable. You want to use Tiger Strike + Dragon Tail with Death Sentry. Have Dual Wield Moisac, Flickering Flame and Fire sunder. A2 Merc with Reaper's. Those are the core pieces, rest are standard MA items - Shadow Dancer etc. I've played a Trapsin extensively (rank 13 this season) and this mops the floor with it. I can send you a character file if you want.

    I think the hustle rune word hustle for body armor should have a couple various auras that you could get when you make the rune word kinda how ormus robes gives you a various sorc skill when you identify it but a few different auras based on what the devs are shooting for with it and add various levels of the aura like meditation on insight I think thatd be cool and make the rune word unique and various trade values, I suppose it could apply to the weapon also maybe with different auras depending on which item you use as a base like weapon or armor

    honestly, i would change the hustle armor to be almost as cheap as stealth as a melee-replacement for it.
    anyway, the only intersting runeword is the druid helmet, and it's not enough to get me to play. there is still no reason to play right-click bear.
    if they added a flat two-handed weapon bonus to werebear and a minor flat one handed weapon dmg bonus to wolf, i might reconsider :)

    The transform straight wolf-bear should just be the norm helm or no. Simpler that way for everyone and without metamorphosis there's no real effect on balance. Might make room for a niche build and at least give you practice if you're building a metamorphosis.

    I think you know that I'm not a pro-buffs guy 😅But regardless, I just think if balance is of any concern, then start from tweaking the skills themselves. I also think the devs should look at making party play more viable as this is where melee builds start to shine a bit better. Lack of party play creates the illusion that melee builds are weaker than they actually are.
    Very good point about NHD on the MA assassin skills, that is pretty rough and should be looked at.

    Honestly I think it should be built into martial arts synergies though. Each charge up skill gets 5% chance to not consume a charge for every point you have in any other charge up skill. This will force you to commit to martial arts and give you the ability to sustain damage from your actual build instead of relying entirely on crushing blow or clunky charge ups that don't add up to as much damage as just spamming a finisher.

    Great comments and I agree with your findings. I would put +1 Teleport in Hustle to offer a cheaper version of mobility early on. As almost every build is dependent on Enigma, Hustle with Teleport will be an early entree as well as give some build diversity with the attack speed bonus.

      @@nathanpapp432 Actually, Enigma is not a mistake, it is a necessity as without it 90% of all players will be sorceresses as she will be the only one with teleport. This game is designed to be multiplayer, and having one class with the capabilities of zipping through maps is an unfair advantage to other players sporting classes without teleport. Now if you were to say the skill is a mistake and the game is better without it, that may be worth discussing, but would probably be dismissed as players like zipping around

    I’ve never used a Werebear before. I’ll have to check out the skill tree to check for experimental builds that’d allow a hybrid. Instead of building a Wolf or a Bear and switching temporarily to get that buff, I’d like to switch back n forth for the 170 seconds and place as both the Wolf and Bear form.

    If Hustle Armor gave level 2 fanaticism aura when equipped, that would make it a much cooler runeword especially if your running a melee cleave comp with friends at the start of a ladder or any form of druid/necro summoner as now you have a way to increase damage/attack rating in the midgame. Hustle weapon needs more ED hands down. Absolutely unusable in its current state against cheaper/better alternatives.
    Metamorphosis should just change the "On hit mechanics" to be baseline stats. Removes the clunkiness of shifting in/out of forms period, and the druid can pick the preferred form they are going to use. Also, let druids teleport in shapeshift form.
    Other fix for 2.6 that would be nice is to remove the bad FHR/FCR breakpoints of the Trang-Oul Set Ghoul form.

    even if they made it have a range of like 40% - 50% chance not to use a Charge then you might have to work a couple times to get like 90%+ to not consume duel wielding them

    Hustle makes it so pretty much any barb can run ANY weapon (even at 0ias on weapon) and still be within 40ias of max breakpoints. Makes for early game builds or even late game builds like dual eDeath Ettin Axes for ww barb while still hitting 4fpa

    I agree with mosaic even if having to use two to grant 100% uptime on charges. If they did that I wouldn't be opposed to blizzard lowering the duration of charges to something like 5-8 seconds

    That mosaic claw should be does not consume charges period for me so you can leave one slot open. New runewords are a fail for me I can't see a huge amount of shape-shifting druids or MA assassin

    metamorphosis needs to be able to be made in armor so barbs can use it. I agree 100% on mosaic. hustle needs 50% run walk on the claw and the chance to cast burst of speed on the armor. the chance to cast burst of speed needs to be 25%. the ias needs to be 40%. then a vigor aura would be good too.

    on paper, bulwark helm + hustle armor could be nice on mercenary for leveling character because merc will move/attack fast with life leech so they're not die so easily...
    however, the level requirement of 35 means you're already in nightmare where resistance become more important to merc (and your) survivability. therefor, these runewords are useful only for a very short period of time (too short actually) before being replaced by any uniques or superior runewords with better resistance. in the end these level 35 runewords are not even worth to spend runes on and waste a 3os base armor (which should be your first treachery base)
    other elements of shael+io helm series are all sucks except for fire that can possibly be budget gear for NM travincal run while prep for Hell.
    for mosaic and metamorphosis, my take is that they should just rework some skills or the class itself to make those build works or become better. putting cool stuff in item and make it a "must-have" so that you can start play a dead build is not appealing to me at all..
    and for the love of archangel, please stop giving new step of pre-buff stuff... we've had enough.

    I would love to see runewords that alter spells at a gigalevel... i.e. a runeword that makes fireball do cold damage. (update the graphic as well to a large blue orb that shatters. Perhaps a runeword that lets druids use "Flamenado" and gains xyz synergies. Just thinking out loud :D

    I agree that they need to shake the meta, I was originally excited for new runewords, then I saw them and realized that they dont do anything new, fun, or fill needed gaps, and lost interest for playing this season.

    I think 100% chance of not losing charges in MA assassin would be ok for any charge skill except for tigers strike, if they don't lose any charge this character will be incredible in pve, being able to clear so quick in P8 as well as doing ubers, I mean you can have 3 charges of TS and 3 of Cobra Strike and just kicking for 80-90K at 7 frames recovering full life and mana with each kick, this would be the new meta.
    In the other hand I think instead of not losing charges giving charges after some seconds or generating the with 25-50% before using a finishing move would be less OP for PVE than 100% not losing charges and a lot more beneficial for pvp.

    1. Meta helm - please make one buff at a time(if you switch off form, lose the buff), so this will actually fix some of the issues with shape shift druid.. otherwise, it is clunky pre-buff items with 0 logic(bear and wolf are different builds,mechanics,lore,etc.)
    2. Helms - fire, lightning, and bulwark can be used in rly rare occasions
    3. Hustle - another annoying pre-buff item..If they want to make the pre-buff a thing, start selling potions from Akara granting this, instead of doing it on items..
    4. Claws - as MA enjoyer, this runeword is the worst thing they have created after immortal

    I actually like Mosaic, didnt expect to proc charges over and over until they all get used. Just one thing that I still dont like is that building charges take a while. I know that FoF, CoT and BoI gets two charges with dual claws, but Phoenix Strike taaaakes a while to build (one at a time).

    Sorceress teleport needs a 5sec CD ( enigma too ) for all other classes without teleport ( enigma ) to be worth playing too.
    either your revised attack rating or las melee ranged physic dmg always hit it's so unfair the spell always hit.
    there needs to be a nerf for Coldmastery Hammerdin Javazon Lightingsorc and lifetap.
    then the game will finally not only be playable in the low lvl but also in the late game if you don't teleport everything through or make all monsters (boss) 1 hit dead
    maybe then the cry for players 8 will finally pass and groups will finally form to play together because not all monsters are 1 hit dead or everyone teleports solo through all 5 acts in 10 seconds to the boss

    Completely agree on all fronts, I didn't even bother going on PTR to test anything out, especially for the lack things to even look into. I sure hope they are adding more than those rune-words. Lets go devs, allow us to elevate those mostly used unique's with recipes to better versions, of course currency tab (aka stacking), upgrading/editing (for the better) some of the skills on the characters that deal physical damage, tweak the monster density on Terror Zones, shoot create a unique book that allows us to save all the D2R recipes along with the runewords. Adding onto that unique book players would have to find the specific recipes (from rare scrolls) to permanently add it into the unique book, just another added thing to explore and allow players to gather as much recipes as possible. COME ON LETS GOOOOO DEV TEAM, I'm in the same boat as Dbrunski, the game for the people who has played it for more than 20 years is fantastic but i'm at the end of my candle here where i'm like blah, i log in but im back off within 3 minutes.

    The biggest issue in my opinion with all these rune words is they are mostly all % chance to proc something. Just have that thing always active when the rune word is active.
    Thus it would go away when taken off, so it they become actually usable and not just prebuff sticks.

    I honestly don't see anyone using any of those except for Metamorphosis on a shaper. I'd rather see them fix some of the inherit flaws to some of the lesser played builds/skills. Let shaper tele, give singer damage, fix Necro Mage damage or make them Archers, increase pnb damage, increase weapon base damage to make at least most builds on par to one another. Then make the game overall more difficult. And for my fellow pvp'ers, already eyerolling because of the suggested buffs to nec/phys dmg: Reduce player damage in pvp to 1/10th or lower to balance it. Last you can introduce items or refactor old ones to fit a specific problems players face. Give us Options Blizzard. q.q

    Metamorphosis is good on paper - but 100% tedious to use in practice.
    Lets look at it. You are pre buffing
    1. CTA buffs (BC and BO)
    2. Mark of the bear (and wait till it procs)
    3. Mark of the Wolf (and wait till it procs)
    This is 4x prebuffs every single 3ish minutes. Sure having all the rebuffs is powerful but would be so very boring to play and over and over and over. Especially if you use the helm as a rebuff specific helm and swap back to a better helm to actually attack something.
    I would rather see mark of the bear and mark of the wolf both improved somewhat and then only one of them allowed to be used at the same time. To remove the pre-buff element of it. Or even better just have it as a straight buff when you wear the helm for which ever animal you are morphed into.

    Dbrunski, BoS on every character breaks a lot of itemization and reduces the reason to play assassin. That's my biggest disagreement with your take on all the runewords. You get max frames with very little IAS required on any build now by using the Hustle weapon. It doesn't seem to me that this would be their intention. Why not have this in a dagger or bow on swap for every single character? Whose gonna want to go slower after playing with it in the mid game? It will never come off and things like Faith just got less desirable. This runeword need to go and they have a plethora of old runewords and uniques that need a re-balance with current patches.

    Metamorphosis should go a little further. Melee builds lack MF options, while caster builds often have plenty of them. That's why I'd take the opportunity to add a good amount of MF (maybe 50-65) to this RW. Also 10@ res feels a bit low on a high end runeword. 15-25 would feel better on this end. Also I'd reconsider the defense Bonus. My first intention simply was, that below 100% it just *sounds* underwhelming and 100-150% is more appropriate. The better alternative is changing it to a plain def bonus (200-250?) since it will be hard enough to get a fitting pelt base and a normal pelt with 30 def goes up to 45? Thats ugly for an end game item. This would result in ~200 to ~400 def among all pelt bases.
    For me adding more variable stats is important because the thrill of building a high cost RW jumps up and results in more joy. Although the stat range must be reasonable for a high cost runeword (4-5 shapeshift would result in a horrible feeling if you roll 4).
    I already stated these suggestions in the PTR feedback forum. Maybe you could make a "reaction" video to some other interesting ideas from that forum? I've seen some more interesting aspects there.

    I would like to see more ED on Hustle. It was ok, but I would double the min/max on this. I'd never use the armor variant how it sits. I do like the druid helm and think it's balanced. I like the idea of being able to go straight from bear to werewolf and vice versa.

    Happy we are doing new things. Wish they would fulfill the wish list though. Cooly is right the noobs are gone it's the vets only that remain. Fill the melee gaps for playthroughs and give us the loot filter and unlimited tabs.

    I would like some class balance buff to unused build. Plenty of people were hype for the new summoner druid build, but at the end of the day it's so bad that nobody really play it, it need another buff. Melee sin need their next hit delay to be fixed. SS druid need teleport fix. Etc.etc.

    50% no charge exhaust is useless imo.
    1. You constantly have to be aware of the charge count.
    2. It's hard to see how many charges you have left while killing mobs. This will confuse players on how many charges they have left because the exhaust pattern is inconsistent and they won't automatically know which charge count they are on.
    3. Martial arts assassin still would be a low tier character even with 100% no charge exhaust.

    I think just following some of what the better mods have done is what blizz needs to do. Literally buff melee, give melee some AOE as well. Fix stuff that sucks still like most uniques. Buff some skills that need it and stop fixing things that aren't broken. AND and lol stop fixing things that were broken like E-Bugging armor and quest bugging. Yes those were not intended but we used them as a skill and resource/tool for the past twenty something years.

    I have no problems with runewords in general principle, but all of these new ones are taking away from the lesser-used (or not used at all) uniques/set items that already exist. If they would instead re-evaluate the existing stuff, and rework what needs it, that would go a longer way to correcting these apparent gaps in character development.
    Also, I believe that all uniques should have stats that match their chance to drop. There is no reason to hunt for a really rare drop that helps a low level character.

    I'm of the opposite camp when it comes to introducing new mechanics. I believe it should be done in a fashion that sticks to the original design. Also, it is a 20+ year old game so of course the gameplay is going to feel stale especially if D2 is the only game you play. The old saying that sticks true to D2 for me is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Could there be adjustments that improve the gameplay without going nuts? Yes. However, making adjustments, just for the sake of it, at the potential cost of the games identity and original design that we all fell in love with is not the way to do it.
