    Before you comment; Yes I know about the Parliamentary System, I'm Canadian, we have the same thing. If you listen to Sophy Ridge she even says 'we're picking a leader' in the clip - it's a different way of phrasing it. Your system doesn't need to be explained to the viewer, I assume you all know how it works.

      the reality Nick its a 9 / 12 points lead - Tele/Mirror/Independ all shows that. Its a Tory Government will still get in and UKIP/Lib Dems have dropped showing their supporters are returning to Labour. At best it will be a Tory government with thin majority in the house, and possible coalition.
      But since Labour has a reasonable manifesto (not progressive enough for me) but still behind a shitty Tory government that has fucked anyone long enough, does speak volumes about what people think about Corbyn (pro-Islamist) and his half-witted shadow cabinet.
      My only wish is when Labour lose yet again with tit Corbyn as leader, Labour will then reshape itself into an electable party with principled MPs in the shadow cabinet. Besides, under 25 years (who majority would vote for Labour) aren't good at getting out of bed to vote, but the 35+ who majority vote for Tories are (2015/Referendum shows that).

      Antony Masters Jeremie Corbyn is not an "Islamist". There is absolutely no evidence he seeks to "promote a way of life that follows the rules set out in the religion of Islam" (that is the definition of "Islamist"). He is not even a Muslim, he's an Atheist. It's easy to claim something when you provide zero evidence for your claims.

    Corbyn takes the tone of a teacher dealing with a very dull-witted child who has been eating the paste from the arts and crafts cabinet.

      2. Us not firing nukes doesn't mean others (religious persuasion) who see us and our decadent western ways of equality and human rights may like to use them.
      3. Picking a political leader should be based on human rights, equality for women, protection of children and LGBT&I rights - not that they support islamic terrorist groups and doesn't like EU.

      dan taylor i kinda got a bad feeling about it too.just as the Tory manifesto failed and labour was gaining ground as well as hundreds of youth registering which could potentially prove devastating for the Tories something like this happens.its all a bit of coincidence , a tragedy yes but nevertheless the Tory media will use it when the campaign gets underway to paint him as a weak leader who won't be able to tackle such issues.

      This Monday was the first time I thought Labour could win. They'd already closed the gap to around 9 points, and Theresa May had an absolute nightmare on Monday. I think that would have pushed Labour at least to within a couple of points with still about 2 weeks to go. Then Tuesday came, and I think all that momentum will have been lost. There's nothing quite like a terrorist attack to bring the right wingers out of the closet. We need to keep the pressure on when campaigning resumes - as Jesusjuicerful said, we need to point out that the reason the army are on the streets today is that Theresa May is responsible for cuts to the policing budget. We are NOT safe with her in charge.

    I'm voting Corbyn because I'm voting for hope and stability.
    I genuinely like right wing views, especially real ones. Hoover Institute, Buckley, all of that - real right wing policies, economics, ideas you can back - with research, history, innovation. In Britain there may be a strong right wing but it's become tainted with lack of compassion and racism. I believe in people, and for this election, Corbyn is for me.

    Journalists are supposed to ambush and not get ambushed since they get to SELECT the questions and thus have the opportunity to prepare and research the subjects while the interviewee doesnt.
    Here this lady managed to ambush herself. That makes you wonder,how some of these journalists managed to get their jobs,what do they do when they are conducting research on their guest,do they even do any research before meeting their guests?

    • @lynneceegee8726
      @lynneceegee8726 5 лет назад

      gerald geaf now y’see, you are a bit off there. Journalists are supposed to elicit the truth. They may use ambush as a tactic to reach that truth, but in her case, she came to the interview with an agenda. A right wing, Murdoch led agenda, so not seeking the truth at all. She was seeking to tie Corbyn u in knots and to reveal hmmm a bad way. However, as that is not the truth, her silly attempt did not pay off and she only succeeded in ambushing herself.

    I totally agree with you, Mr National. I think the reason why this journalist thought she had Jeremy over a barrel is because in 1984 (when I was 15😯😯) the Northern Ireland peace talks were in complete disarray. Jeremy C had a large hand in negotiating the deal that eventually brought about peace. It was pure shit stirring on Sky's part, which is why I will not buy into their TV subscription service. Not only is it shit stirring, but it goes to show that there are no depths to which Murdoch's henchmen will stoop, no one's sensitivities they care about. It wouldn't matter to them if - as a result of their shit-stirring - troubles in N.I. Started again. As long as they could point their finger at the person they were attempting to destroy. If anything, I think Rational National does Sky News a favour by insinuating that one interviewer was at fault. It was the whole network, that's been out to destroy Jeremy Corbyn ever since he gained a position of power within the Labour Party. He is dangerous to Sky, because,it's largely owned by Rupert Murdoch who stands to have a much higher tax bill should Labour under JC ever take power. Tony Blair, the last labour leader who won an election here, was more right wing than even Margaret Thatcher was totally bought out by Murdoch - you scratch my back and I'll make sure my newspaper group will cover you favourably. Corbyn has more scruples than that. The fact that Sky won't ever come outright and ask, "Why do you want to raise taxes for the super-rich, thereby depriving Rupert Murdoch, our boss, of a few quid?" shows that they know how incorrect the question is. So they try to find something else to string him up with. It makes my blood boil.

    Very worthy piece, David Doel. It is sad to say that the reason publications don't drill down into thinking as you have articulately explained, is because many people don't make time to think deeper about the issues (or non-issues) raised, or are intellectually incapable of doing so. They find 'sound bites' much easier to handle. Sometimes we need a few more words to explain the important arguments about our political processes.
