Excellent video lads but frightening when you quote the stats to our performances . The way we are, unless it suddenly changes , it won’t be long before we are in the relegation zone. I think we are missing a leader in the mode of an Adam Barrett who can motivate this team to play better when things aren’t going right .

I know you like stats. Jan-Aug 2023 27 games 54 points, 2 per game. Since then 57 games and 75 points (1.31 per game) despite the squad being strengthened in 2 windows. In the latter period 4 managers, each suffering the same problems. Why? As always, thanks for producing fascinating Gills material each week. One observation: there are times when 2/3 people agreeing on everything becomes boring. A ‘Simon Jordan’ element would get you 100s more subscribers quickly, in my view, because it would be interesting/annoying enough for non-Gills fans to tune in, and many more would comment.

Absolutely spot on Matt and Rhys. Just hope these players and our management are watching this, after yet again mega underperforming in a football match, after 2 weeks of home comforts. I didnt watch the game live yesterday, because i am sick of seeing what these players are offering after yet anotheer long break. Has happened so often before. These players need 2 long away trips in a week, to make them realise how lucky they are to be professional footballers. Under this manager they wont learn unfortunately

I think youve nailed it - We have a mentality problem. Couldnt bare watch the highlights on Rhys' channel. we scored and then we gave up.

How many games have we played really well in the last 5 seasons. I mean really commanded and out played the opposition??? I can't think of many to be honest.....

Had my son with me yesterday. I said when we scored that we need to kick on and score again. Immediatley we went into our shell. Deeper and deepe. 1st half, without creating much, we were the better side. Stone wall penalty not awarded which would have resulted in a red card. That would have been a game changer. The Bonner interview after the match is a real eye opener. I believe Bonner has to stay and sort this out.

I love this club but I've seen more organisation in a Sunday league team. As sad as it is I would even put Ollie Hawkins in at centre half, even though he is slow. Something needs altering and quick......as always UTG.

Great show with some thoughtful observations. In no particular order. BG is right to set the bar at promotion. We are playing in the worst div 2 in 20 years. We expect more because it's about football. I commented before that the supporters don't care where the pies come from, if the tv's are 36 or 86 inch or if the beer is self-service or not. Supporters will stand in the cold and rain if we are winning or being entertained. At the moment, we are getting neither. As for Bonner, I was questioning him 8 weeks ago and getting dogs abuse. Not so now. He gestured to the crowd at the end of the game. That's when you know he's in trouble. His team selection is crap - let's leave out our top scorer. His tactics are poor - let's lump it up top and hope. His substitutions are a joke- Adobe v Nolan? Finally, his match side manner is laughable-he let's his goalkeeping coach make all the decisions. Let's be honest if he worked in construction and was told to build a road from A to B and he got his team to build it from A to C , who would u sack. The manager or his team? To finish, we are sliding to a relegation tussle, not a promotion fight. The time to act is now. Bonner has to go. With regards to the staff members' comments about M E. He should be sacked for bringing the club into disrepute. He should be professional whatever his personal views are. Again, has B G got what it takes in this regard. Let's be honest he has made some odd decisions. You only have to look at some of his "leadership" appointments. You know these people just aren't qualified to justify the title they hold!! I'm afraid if you really sit back and scrutinise the key senior appointments at the club, they all fall short of what is expected and what we need.

Agree with everything, except the staff member comment. Obsessive secrecy is one of the main problems at the club IMO - washing dirty linen in public can be a good thing.

Please stop thinking round the mulberry bush, Bonner us hopeless, hes proved it, hes gotta go now, tomorrow. Then someone in who can get the right players in and put some steel in them meanwhile getting rid of rot. Surely Hess also has to go along with Jackett. It's looking like, Scally was right, the americans will mess it up and scally can buy the club back on the cheap, what an awful vision.

No leader on the pitch....too quiet a team. Doesn't seem to be a game plan...

Spot on. Alot of the mentality issues are comming from poor leadership on the team. Ehmer is a relegation pick and a terrible choice for captain. Changing team skipper will have a big impact on improving performances, i would want Little in that role.
