Angelo is her little boy on the My Little Love song. It’s a song from Adele to her son describing her pain and guilt for divorcing his father.
Angelo is her young son, she is telling him that she is a mess right now and he is the only that can heal her. The part where she is crying was a message she left on someone's phone during one of her most difficult moments. Adele writes all her own lyrics. In the song Hold On, the chorus is made up of her best friends who always told her to hold on during the worst times. Long time friends, not professional singers. She wanted to share her glory with them.

Yes! The drums kicking in on Hold On is exactly like the heartbeat monitor beginning to beep again after flatlining. I love that simile.
