Thank you. This is inspirational for someone like me who can't afford a big kit, but can save up little at a time for something like this. The sounds great, and your playing shows me that this is possible.
In RUclips time this was like a decade ago but damn I still love this video and you absolutely nailed all the Mike Bordin parts! 🤘🏻 Hope you are doing well!
Sorry I don’t have that, I never have a drum only track with the way I recorded my covers, the mp3 and my drums get recorded onto one track on the boss recorder I use
Awesome cover man! Like prior comments said, you can tell that you are "feeling" the music and not just playing it which is the sign of a true musician. You just gained a new subscriber today bud. Keep jammin'
...Q. how did you avoid hitting your leg with the snare?? I hate it I keep doing it .....also what was the name of the kit you used when you did this song please, Id like to know if it is in my td30k....
Russh75 The way I sit is: let's say the snare is 12 o' clock, my legs are 10 & 2 o' clock, and the rest of the kit should conform to that. At 13:30 in this video: ruclips.net/video/RF9Rjqc64Lg/видео.html I go thru the kit I used for most covers (incl. this song) I go thru each sound so you could create a sound-a-like kit on the TD-30 if the sounds match up
Howdy howdy, me again... I got a question for you, it looks like you give that hi-hat a good hit with your left foot (like I do) ....what are you doing to stop it from moving ... I cant for the life of me stop it from moving despite it being butted up against the inside of the rack of my TD30K.
using the screws down spikes in the carpet does the job, there should be two screws, one each side of the pedal, you fully wind them down and there's two spikes underneath that dig into carpet/floor Does your hi-hat stand have these?
So I just checked that , it would seem that I do not have that on the hi hat stand that I have as it is the braced double leg stand that I have. I have that with the bass drum but even though I exposed them, I still had to put one of my guitar amps in front of those legs to stop THAT drum from moving forward each time my righty foot pressed the beater pedal down. Sounds like I need to head to the music shop for different hardware. :-) PS I always watch your vids, your drumming is awesome and this one happens to be my favourite :-)
Russh75 thanks man, another thing you could try before you start buying expensive drum gear is strips of Velcro with an adhesive backing on it, get two strips of it and stick them length ways along the underside of your pedal (obviously this only works if your kit is placed on carpet)
as someone just learning the drums, this is more inspirational that actually watching FNM play it, great job, amazing energy
You keep surprising me with your covers and your amazing skills brother!! Keep up the good fight and never stop!! Faith NO more baby!!!!!
