Ep.28: "Great Expectations" Haru and Hyejeong go to Osaka to see Tablo and YG concert! But Hyejeong gets mad at Haru and ends up scolding her. How will Haru overcome this situation? Sarang studies Korean with her dad Sunghoon as well as her Korean teacher. She learns Korean by singing and dancing just like how her dad learned Korean. Yakkung visits hula dance academy and rules the academy with his cute dancing skills! Hwijae takes his twins to his parents house and he has a table tennis match with his father. Who will win?

She loves Haru to the max, shows her tons of aegyo and stood on her level but when it comes to discipline, she's really good at it. Haru is at an age to be disciplined now. I think it's similar to Hyeonseong and Hwijae. I've seen them being very strict too. :)
This might sound bad, but I'm glad that Hyejeong actually reprimanded Haru for her actions, I feel like that's the first honest parenting we've gotten on this show. I know everyone has their own parenting styles but it's all sunshine and paradise...which isn't all that true with kids. I love this show no matter what, but seeing a parent not care about the cameras being around and actually treating the child like they do in real life was refreshing. Anyways, love you all and the show and the adorable kids as always!
HIGH FIVE ^ I agree a big fan of teaching ur kid right from wrong habits right from the start.It breaks every parent up 2 yell at ur kid but when u have a well behaved kid it makes u so proud ! I have 1 kid and yes he was a good kid very spoiled but also well trained in his manners!! tantrum ive never dealt wth one personally cuz mama didnt play that game so glad 2 see the correction right away kids shouldnt run the show. Im tired of 2 many parents trying 2 be friends that they forget 2 parent its refreshing if u let them get away wth 2 much u end up wth a spoiled brat.Such a tease wth gd & taeyang have a kid and join the cast so i can see u every wk lol
yes,she did the right thing coz tablo always let haru get away with almost everything(even murder lol). its not always good to keep babying her. it might become a problem when she grows up.
100% agree. I really like Hyejeong's parenting style. she isnt too strict, but not a push over either. she knows how to discipline haru and at the same time comfort her. I just hope I can be half the mother Hyejeong is in the future ^^
When I read your comment I thought she smacked her or something. She just scolded her, you have to do that to your kids when they don't behave. Otherwise they will grow up to be unintelligent and weak.
I wish because my kid would have been spanked for losing his mind lol. Its just that most of the time when the kids act up u can tell its usual no one seems surprised cuz they get away with it.So it was nice to see a parent realistically scold their kid for once. Haru is too old and very intelligent to get a pass on that kind of bad behaviour.

Thumbs up for how Hye Jung disciplined Haru. First, in such situation I believe my mom will bang the table and say something like she has no patience for nonsense like this. But Hye Jung stayed Calm and with a firm voice she got Haru to act on picking up the pen. Then she explained to Haru that it is a wrong action to throw things when you are angry. What impresses me is what happened next. After being stern and she scolded Haru for doing such an action. She expressed love and reconciled with Haru by hugging her. That is what it is called " Hate the Sin but love the sinner' I suppose.
And Haru is so cute, when she tries to speak like adults (on the plane and when she was talking to her dad about how she is still small and cannot be alone waiting... ) Haru ah! why you so cute. And why you so cute too??? sarang!!!!! You make me want to learn all the korean children song and sing it while doing your actions. and maybe dance like Yakkung, another 'why you so cute?' child. I really love these children. WHY you so cute huh?

That's the different between kang hyejung and tablo. I see that tablo is really a patient father but her wife is a firm and great mother towards haru. that's how parenting should be.
Yesss, Tablo said that he's glad he ended up with Hyejung because his life got more order than before. He said that if he doesn't meet Hyejung his life will be a mess 😂😂😂😂 So they're really a perfect pair.

I love how Haru is being educated by her parents, they love her but they don't spoil her, and teach her well so that she knows what is right or wrong. And oh my YG family love
tablo said it himself on their jeju episode, that haru tends to be more baby and whiny when her mom is around. well, i'm 25 and i still want to be babied by my mom. besides, she is all chic and laid back with tablo because he treats her like a friend. its all about parenting style, and both of them did great. for me, tablo doesn't necessary need to be all firm because hyejeong is enough, haru listened to him anyway.
yeah, that's why hyejeong said she's in-charge of taking care of haru while tablo is in-charge of playing with haru. i think both tablo and hyejeong did well in dividing their roles when it comes to haru.
Haru just threw a fit. You can tell she's extremely loved and well behaved. The fact that she responded to her mom so fast, after a simple scolding, is quite good. I agree, if anyone on the show is somewhat spoiled, it's Sarang. She's cute as a button and seriously adorable but she does have a bit of a spoiled tantrum. But honestly, it's not even that bad. She behaves really well it's just her dad is too easy on her.

Sarang is not spoiled right now.. She just gets a lot of pampering which will result in her getting seriously spoilt if sunghoon and shiho (mainly sunghoon) don't change their ways.. Haru is a little kid too, just a year older than sarang and she is so much more mature and wise and I just love haru..

OMG! I always loved watching the moms with their children!!! I especially loved Hye Jeong spending time with Haru in today's episode!!! They are soo sweet together and too adorable. I stand by her completely with how she handled Haru. I was like "HECK YAH!!!" Kids need to learn young and she really did it properly! WELL-DONE Hye Jeong!!! That look she gave Haru in her calm, yet, serious tone of voice. We all heard that tone before and we all knew what THAT meant! hahaha
My parents raised 5 kids and we were all one year apart from each other. I still don't know how they did it and my father died young so my mom raised us as a single parent. My mom said we all learned very young and that we were respectful and well-behaved kids... it pays off! ;)

Kang Hyejung is such a good mom! She doesn't hesitate one second to teach her daughter the proper way through discipline knowing that she's on TV and all. :)
I'm glad Junseo can gain some confidence, but what I don't think helps is the fact that he always does the same activities as Junu. Maybe if his dad was to let him to something his brother has never done, that way he'll always be better at something that Junu, thus giving him the confidence to try and be better at other things. Junu doesn't need to do all these activities with him, and with Junu being the older brother, he's more mature and would understand why if his parents did this.
yeah, I totally agree with you...junu and junseo are two different boys..junseo doesn't have to do anything his brother does..even if junu is good at most of the things he does..I think he lacks some social skills..unlike junseo who is very outgoing and speaks his mind,he'd be great in acting/comedy..haha
maryam nadhirah zaini I totally agree, especially since junseo is quite timid and is a lot slower at learning things than Junu. I think he gets upset and embarrassed when he can't do things that junu does.But I see why they do it, my sister and I did different activities and because of that and the age difference we weren't as close as we could have been, so I get why they do it. Plus some kids may complain that the older sibling does things they can't, like when seojun and seoeon cry when the other has something.
Both me and my brother have always done different things. The only thing we did together was Karate. I did things like ballet and drama, where as he did football and dance.
I totally agree with you!! I noticed that Junseo was always looking at his brother, felt like he's trying to copy him....so I think that their dad should from time to another let them do activities separately!!!
Despite the difference in cultures, you'd have thought (what with the big increase in western culture being integrated into korean culture) that doing things differently would happen often. Even if they hadn't been more exposed to western cultures, why hadn't anyone though of this before hand? Surely it makes perfect sense. I'd have been so frustrated if I was made to do everything with my brother (who is usually better at things than me).

Haru has one incident occur, and all of a sudden the parenting police is on duty. Calm down folks, believe it or not, kids will have their moments, and when they do happen, it's up to the parents to teach their kids what's right or wrong. Judging on how we saw Hyejeong react, I'm pretty sure Haru is the least spoiled child there.

She pampered her when Haru was whining for no good reason in the beginning though, haru should not have even kicked up a tantrum - in my opinion without cameras she would have (or should have) disciplined haru from the beginning. But I think she couldn't take it in the end and decided that cameras or not she'd go for the discipline. And yes, I approve of the way she did it, just not when.

The part where Junu and Junseo do the news is so adorable! I love that concept where kids can try different jobs for real. I think that helps in their decision making. Even though I'm not a mom yet, I wish I could do this with my kids in the future

Haru's mom is like the superman for this episode! I think she did a great job in admonishing Haru about having a tantrum. All mothers feel like they shouldn't hurt their child by admonishing them, but it really builds them up for the future. You'd rather do that than question in the future why your child doesn't listen to you. Honestly, if you don't teach them at home, they'll end up going out to the real world being taught harshly by other people or being talked about by others.
I wouldn't dare throw anything when I was Haru's age (at least not in front of my mom). If I was Haru, my mom would've snapped the marker in half and I don't think I would've seen the next day.

I respect the way Hyejeong scolded Haru. It's good to discipline them from early age. The child needs to know what she should or shouldn't do. I'm so addicted to this show. It amazes me how fast these precious young things are growing!!
Sung Hoon's family can have those videos from when he was just a little child, so amazing!!!! Was it that development in Japan those day? In our country, even abt over a decade ago, few families in big cities can have those memories abt their child like that way!
