  • Welcome to the AW Services RUclips channel
If you own a drone then you may want to invest in a super bright led anti collision light.
These small lightweight strobes are available in red white & green and attach with velcro hook and loop or rubber band style O rings to the side tabs of the strobe
    Disclaimer
you shouldn't really use these on a drone where you are limited to weight or payload restrictions as the UK CAA has category classes
these strobes are available from Amazon - Link below

I bought one of these to do light painting. Is one enough? I am torn between using the velcro on the bottom or finding a long O ring to go around the body of the mini 4 I have. I also could put one on an arm but it doesn't seem to want to point directly down. Thoughts?

Get a landing skid and velcro it to the underside as there's enough increased height off the ground when attached
Or alternatively get some white 20mm elastic and sew it into a loop and sew the course side of velcro to it

@@AW-Services good ideas. have you tried the white elastic idea? How did it go around the body with the arms in the way? I think I could also just do the velcro thing on the bottom of the mini 4 and the light would just be the back landing pad. I'm not planning on doing too many light paintings so maybe the landing gear idea is best so the velcro just goes on that... And lastly, do you think it matters which way; horizontal or vertical mounting, would make any different with light painting from above a building? Next I'll have to figure out what sort of pattern might work!

You would obviously stretch the elastic over when it's folded in its stowed position. For light painting and great results, I've created flight paths on my mavic 3, and you can also use litchi.
Being that the led is super bright on its full setting, having it face directly down gives the best effect. Then, your photography skills need to create the magic. Bulb mode in manual iso 100 F11 etc

@@AW-Services thx. I've done quite a bit of light painting with cars, and houses (flashlights) but am now going to try a drone. I just got the drone, so have no idea about "flight patches" or "litchi"... Will have to investigate. mini 4 pro.
