- Stomp and Buck Dance is from the Southern Comfort album in 1974. This video is from around that time. This is from what I would consider the bands peak with the best lineup including Henderson on trombone and Larry Carlton on guitar.
Legendary Crusaders Awesome! 🎶👍
Wow! An actual live performance on Soul Train? Never thought I saw one growing up. Cool to see Larry in his ascendency. Great group at that time.
Yea they also played the song Greasy Spoon on Soul Train. ruclips.net/video/J6b8B48617o/видео.html
Think how lucky we all are to have lived in a time when jazz-funk like this was being recorded and performed live. Peace.
Yea, I was blessed to see them a few times in Los Angeles (the Roxy) during this time period. One of my all time favorite bands.
I had an old 62 Ford fair lane in high school w 8 track of this and dad would take my car to store for who knows why. and I would get back in and this would be blasting. Habahahaha
That is so great. Music has a way of being tied to our memories of the past that we cherish. The Crusaders have been the sound track of my life since the early 1970s. Their music has a feel, that puts you in a laid back good mood. I'm glad you liked the video.
Wow, did they actually have live performance on Soul Train?? I thought it was all lyp syncing.
Live performances for masters of their craft. Joe sample Larry. They weren’t dancing and all that they were practiced top of the field professsionals Vs some young in their 20’s new to stardom and not as musically gifted as players (Yet). Repetition mixed w talent Comes But crusaders are a cut above in talent saw them live during this period and when they were w Randy Crawford “Street-life” fame. This is my favorite period w Larry Carlton.
