  • Last time, we showed you how to deply the RT 6-1000. Now, learn how to recover your RT 6-1000.
RT 6-1000 is a rugged and reliable coastal release transponder which uses our field-proven 6G technology. RT 6-1000 can be used in both Transponder Mode (subsea) and Topside Control Mode (to release another subsea RT 6-1000).
The Sonardyne RT6 App has been specially developed to configure, load the release nut prior to deployment and release the RT 6-1000. It can also run self-test functions, read battery status, add a GPS marker of your deployment position and locate a deployed RT 6-1000.

Hi @gowhales3002, even without adding your location to the map, you can still follow the steps to release and recover the RT6 1000 with your instruments via the "Release" section on the home page of the app. However, it's always a good idea to add your location to the maps section of the app. You never know when it might come in handy.🙂

@@gowhales3002 You can start by trying a quick check through the app's home screen. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the battery using the configure section of the app. Then, reconnect the battery using the same section. If you still need assistance, you can request a copy of the user manual from our website www.sonardyne.com/products-knowledge-base/rt-6-1000-manuals/ The manual should contain all the information you need beyond what is covered in this video.
