My pooch is 13 now and I’ve been coming to terms with the fact dude won’t be around forever. Couldn’t imagine parting ways by surprise. Thanks for sharing and the spoiler looks killer. Great look
Really sorry about the loss of your dog. I can tell it hit you hard. I hope you’re able to find strength and peace. Awesome garage and beautiful car. 👌🏾
Great video, helped me with the template positioning. (I still removed the trunk trim which wasn't terribly hard, but it made it easier to put the nuts in) I can confirm, per Toyota's official instructions, it does tell you to center the peak of the trunks curve at the end between the two black lines (essentially put it at the dotted lines). However, as this video shows, doing so, you indeed will have a gap in the middle. I too had to bring it back just a tad.
I know the template says drill the inside holes there, but because plastic, could you drill holes more centered and then just put a cap/plug in them? 4/32" = 1/8" = ~3mm Using light colored (painter's) tape is especially helpful on dark colored cars and/ oe dark/black plastic. Plus, the tape can help prevent the paint (if painted) front peeling/ripping. I realize these templates are for dealers, but they really need to be more clear on what all of the markings (lines) represent. Glad you got it on; looks great.
how am i the only person in these comments that is str8 up shocked that you drilled that many holes in your trunk for this spoiler that is a chunk of plastic? VHB would have held this just fine.

Duckbill spoiler? That didn't took me no longer than 10 mins for a clean installation. Is all double side tape 🤷
My last spoiler was all double sided tape and was really easy to install also. Unfortunately drilling holes made this spoiler more time consuming.
What are the wheel specs man stop dodging this question :(
