The way he pitched it to the manager was basically a legit offer. Headgum looks for sponsors and advertisers all the time, if Ran had actually met with him with the intention of hearing him out, he probably would have pitched the "brand ambassador" in that direction. Personally I think it was genius, either way he can't lose. Either he gets another partner for the network which is a win, or he gets a funny video out of it for the fans, also a win. :P

Bread Lounge missed a valuable opportunity. The fact that they didn't even bother to meet with Geoff shows they're not serious about their business. Not to mention that they can't make a decent grilled cheese is also telling of a bigger problem but I won't ramble on.
Geoff could've only helped them. With his winning personality and social media expertise he was literally bread for this.
