Excellent video! Thank you for taking the time to put it together. Hard not to want a Rampone saxophone after watching.

When I was a kid, I remember there were still Rampone clarinets at Banda Municipal de San Lorenzo in Argentina. Fine wood and tone. I guess some of them might still be around.

Excellent video. How good to see this small Italian company putting so much
skill, research, craftsmanship and love into their superb saxophones. I've been listening to various demos of Rampone and Cazzani saxes on RUclips and they do sound very special. They also look gorgeous, like very old saxes from the 1920s and 30s. If I ever win the lottery I will have to buy one, but for now I shall have to make do with my Yamaha YTS275 tenor and my very cheap, probably Chinese, alto !

Fantastic video, so much goes into a saxophone, thank you for sharing. What a difference a metal makes for making a saxophone. Brilliant work and craftsmanship.

I received an alto just engraved "Golden voice" and serial number E 1660, no mark. Look like a R&C, a wonderful sound but need to be warm but need hard work to play the right tone... Anybody having some information ? Why no mark ?

I like the honest comparison to the Selmer sound and how R&C gravitated to its own sound over the years. I sorely wish someone had made a video like this a few years ago of the Ida Maria Grassi facility when they were still making saxophones in Quarna Sotto, almost just across the street from Rampone and Cazzani. I am curious how many workers who now work at R&C came from the Grassi company.
