I’m from Boston and I can tell you. He was so respected in these parts. I remember the Boston Globe running a story about Shula being a “sly Fox” when the Dolphins were in town. My Mom loved him because he was handsome. She made me a Dolphins fan. I was too young to remember the SB years but I did see Csonca and greise play. I was born in 69. Football was big in my house!
Wow. Another early 80s Colts came! Love it. Those '81 Colts were truly one of the worst defenses in NFL history. Gave up, I believe, something like 535 points in a 16 game season. I think this is still an NFL record for defensive ineptitude, which is "impressive" considering that the modern NFL is designed to produce offensive shootouts. As awful as the Colts of this era were, they were my team and I love seeing their games, especially ones from old Memorial Stadium.
It is amazing Miami got to a Super Bowl with Woodley. He had the arm strength and was pretty mobile and could use his legs, but as a pure passer...not overly accurate and mistake/int prone
Woodley was an average starting qb in 1982, not great but not the worst starter. Miami had a good running game in 82 and a top pass defense and scoring defense. Also good special teams in kick and punt return.
Don Shula returns to Baltimore to once again show the Colts that he was one of the greatest coaches of all time. Maybe if Shula remains in Baltimore, Elway won't demand a trade to Denver. Who knows?
LOVE OUR BALTIMORE COLTS....Love Memorial stadium....Fans stayed away because of irsay....how did nfl even allow him to buy the rams and then trade for the colts...
Hello! I've been looking for this game ever since I saw the GOTW back in 81. I've downloaded it but is there any chance I could get a copy direct from the file(s) you have of this game? I have a collection of over 1000 broadcasts back to 1968. Just let me know. THANK YOU!!
This is the way I remember football on grass played by tough men not girlyguys giving their all not politizing every play for glory.lebron woke James and all your kind eat your❤ out
A lot of people have been looking for this game for a long time. Nice to know a copy actually exists. Thanks for posting!
Absolutel. Beautiful picture too.
Don Shula is one of the top 10 NFL icons of all time. It is always enjoyable watching him pace the sidelines.
More like top 5,

Thank you so much. Filling almost all the holes in Dolphins games from the early 80's.
The whole world including the NFL Network is looking for 1977 Dolphins vs. Cardinals. Not sure it exists.
I was at this game. The sea change in emotions from a game-winning TD to a holding call was gut-wrenching.
The 1981 Colts: still to this day the worst defense in NFL history
Nice.....thanks very much! Very exiting game to watch.....

Bert Jones always saved his best for my dolphins. Even in his declining ,injury riddled seasons in 80’s - Jones could scare the pants off of Shula.
The 81 colts defense. The defense so great, you never saw it

I don’t remember Woodly having that much of a zip to his passes. I’m impressed.
Vigorito should have been the starting tailback.
Ouch! The 1st and last Colts penalties were COSTLY!
Bert Jones... The Ruston Rifle
Sam Nover & Dave Rowe with the call 4 NBC!
Appreciate all you have posted, but I have to ask... Is there anything else from this era coming?
There may be 1 or 2 more hopefully soon. Most of the missing games are not available anywhere to my knowledge.
You can tell Bert Jones is playing with a couple cracked ribs. He looks pained after every throw.

Sad the owner of the team dismantled the team to move the team to Indianapolis
The holding penalty on pratt was a joke....the defender was falling down......could have turned around 1981 season.....
Are we eventually going to see more 2005 dolphins games soon?
Dolphins vs. Falcons 2005 uploaded.
But wait, there's a flag on the play..🤢
