A Housed Rabbet (Rebate) Miter Joint | Woodworking | ASMR

  • A housed rabbet (rebate) miter joint with pins. Compared to a standard miter joint, the shoulder, larger glue surface and pins (dowels) add additional strength. If contrasting wood is used for the pins, it also adds a nice decorative effect.

Then the overall beauty of no visible end grain with the strength of a rabbit joint. Seriously beautiful work.

Isn't that just an exquisite joint and I love the way you just make it all come together in like a 90-degree joint and also I have to comment on the editing of this video and what you recruited namely the protractor and the blade placement and whatnot!
