  • Stewart Island is the southernmost populated place in New Zealand and Oceania, and one of the southernmost in the world. In this video, I purchase a ticket on an 8 seater plane and fly from Invercargill Airport to the island to explore what it has to offer in the village of Oban as well as taking a ferry to Ulva Island and back to hike around Rakiura National Park.
Attempting this new style of commentary based video. The travel films will continue though with many planned over the coming weeks.
Filmed in May 2021. Produced in 2022.

Pity you had bad weather, the beaches on Ulva would be stunning on a nice day.

For sure. This was filmed in late autumn which was fine by me as I love all weather but I imagine the beaches are amazing in summer!
