Little buff for stab and gold pen, then good old is 7 start shining again. Good video. My sensations about this tank is he hits more when you are in full speed than when fully aimed xd
IS-7 is still a fun tank to play. One of the only true 99% impenetrable hull-down tanks out there, but with its limited gun depression and low height you need to know the positions to use it properly. Fast enough to let you change position, nice armour. Yes it's less competitive than newer tanks but it keeps its unique playstile. Maybe WG should just give its gun a bit of love, an increase to Alpha (bring it to 560!) and gold pen (320 is enough) would make a huge difference imo.
i think what you said would be a bit of an overkill, imo just bringing down dispersion on the move a bit and decreasing reload by maybe 0.5 second would be just enough to make it a decent pick without making it insane.
Exactly pointing out what's wrong with today's meta, you sacrifice a lot to have that strong hull down potential which WG don't seem to understand and just make a lot of tanks hull down monsters with a lot of the other benefits too these days. Guess I'm still huffing on copium from the old days

Daki, can you tell me' does it feel like the arty shells automatically adjust while they are in the air? They didn't used to be like this but seems like especially after they get the shell speed, if you hear it fire it should be landing where you are but it seems to hit perfectly no matter what speed, and even if you stop it still hits you even though it should be going where the lead would have been? This was happening to you quite often, though it was super noticable with the second town when you were in that abbey center area. Like I know they are more accurate now, but they shouldn't have exact acceleration timing, or like even if you sharp turn one way or the other it feels like the damn shell curves toward you. Awesome video man. You do get a bit quiet monotone mumbly at times, with a lot of words, hard to make out what you are saying. Looks like you have the backgound lit up a bit more uniform which is nice, but you still have the fridge way too bright and it is overexposed. You can add a scene of just a filter of that size to lower it but you can hardly read the cans in the fridge and that just means it is overexposed. Your aperture is perfect for the lower light stuff, but the mini fridge is a ton brighter. So its going to blow out. Not sure if you are familiar with histograms, where you can see the highs and lows of light, but they also show where it clips with really high peaks in which you are losing data as it is beyond your sensors ability to capture it, so you lose detail, and that is why the cans are hard to read. 1-2 hull down spot to get an early on shot Hori, Map awareness of flanking Cobra, not going for VK and getting pincer, choosing to ignore 257 and going for batchat and ramming him for 1200 then holding the shot for 257.Bond equipment's are not a necessity.
My biggest issue with IS7 is the 300pen APCR is just trash tier now, huge problem against tanks like E100, Maus, JgPzE100, and other well armored tanks.
@Newtonsquared Not possible in many situations with WOTs common 3 corridor maps. Why even bother when 277, 260, 113, 5a, 430U, etc. have 340 heat and have no problems
ramming is more fun with is7 you are heavier and you have better armor and with right perks you get to 1282 m/s apcr also i dont struggle with 303 apcr pen
If a tank cant pen the flat face of E 100 it needs a buff. IF ONLY IS 7 had like 7mm more gold pen it'd be a beast. Its super annoying because its genuinely good except for the pen which is.... a very important parameter.

Honestly would you be remotely interested in reviewing the IS-4? Because I feel like I see lots and lots of content about all the other Soviet and Chinese heavies but not much if anything about the IS-4 specifically.
Pen mod is the same as penetration indicator ingame but more detailed. HP Mod is the same as the ingame one but yet more detailed? Why should it be illegal
@Dakillzor it is not the same. When you see FIVE dif colours and when you see exact numbers of chance to penetration? See difference? And HP? Why streamers who does not have this asking how many hp have certain tank? See difference?
If you have time to look at exact numbers when playing the game and brawling you are a god and I would love to learn from you. It's a learning tool not something you can actually use live. Also base pen marker has dif colours also

I think that the is7 just needs a bit more dpm in the form of alpha damage and slightly more gold pen at 303mm APCR pen is atrocious

The IS-7 ist fast enough, to go on the medium flank, so you are able to avoid them until the late-game
