  • The story of Mahatma Gandhi has encouraged and inspired people all over the world. He brought down an empire and influenced men like Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela to fight for freedom through non-violent means. He protected the rights of the weak and defenceless. He was the champion of the oppressed and downtrodden. He was the catalyst, if not the initiator of three of the major revolutions of the 20th century, the movements against colonialism, racism, and violence. He also admired and loved Jesus Christ, and yet he chose not to become a Christian and a follower of Jesus. Watch the program to learn why.

Mahatma Gandi did not accept Christianity are you sure...but Christanity will and never save a believer in Christianity, one claiming is just a lip service to be a Christian, is not the Salvation certificate neither the Salvation passport to the Kingdom of God...
Mahatma Gandi loved Jesus teachings and he followed and applied Jesus teachings in his life and His message reverberated around Mahatma Gandi, this says all about his acceptance in Jesus (God Saves)
Jesus said, “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me” (John 6:38). When Jesus was praying to the Father in anticipation of His upcoming death and suffering on the cross, He uttered the words, “Not as I will, but as You will” (Matthew 26:39)
As Jesus said: “Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do; for what things soever He does, these also does the Son likewise.” [John 5:19.] He came into this life to do the will of his Father, and not his own will. Our desire and determination should be the same.

Beautiful biography of Ghandi , but it's sad that he not surrender his life to the Lord , but our Lord Jesus said ; I am the Way , the Truth and the Life and nobody comes to the Father except through Me ! It means that he REJECT the Lord !

Do not judge a book by its cover...
What you see and hear may not be true but however spent some time to investigate throughly and understand before concluding...
Mahatma Gandi's reasons for not accepting Jesus is respected but however is questionable and is a lame excuse as one should make a decision in the truth and the conviction of the heart to accept Jesus or not and should not decide solely on Jesus "so called the followers" whom do not do the will of God Whom had sent Him ...
As there are perceptions and derivatives in all walks of people in every situation and circumstances, in every believe systems and institutions globally...

    Struggling against Tradition
Although the political and social force of the caste system has not disappeared completely, the Indian government has officially outlawed caste discrimination and made widespread reforms. Particularly through the efforts of Indian nationalists such as Mohandas Gandhi, rules preventing social mobility and cross-caste mingling have been loosened.
Gandhi renamed the untouchables Harijans, which means "the people of God." Adopted in 1949, the Indian Constitution provided a legal framework for the emancipation of untouchables and for the equality of all citizens.
In recent years, the Untouchables have become a politically active group and have adopted for themselves the name Dalits, which means "those who have been broken."

Ghandi was one of the worst people ever, definitely in the top 5 of the 20th century. Because of him, millions of Indians have suffered and died and kept in the backwardness of the caste system, when they could've been free to pursue advances otherwise.

Could it be because Gandhi didn't follow Jesus all the way, like he also accused the christians?

This documentary shows how the world could look like if we'd behave the way Jesus intended it and if we'd not only take His name.
Gandhi was more christlike than most of the professed Christians. Probably including myself.
