I saw this episode of Top of the pops as a kid and rushed out the next day to buy the Fireworks gatefold 7" single. My first ever Siouxsie purchase. I'd soon own their entire back catalogue & buy every new release upon its release date. This Fireworks appearance is the origin of my lifelong Sioux obsession. They almost lost me with their Dear Prudence cover. I couldn't stand that.
This fab group occupied a universe all of their own, where the only woman was a sex clad spiky hair goddess and all the men wore make up.God I miss this band.
Siouxsie breaks out the leather pants, lace gloves*, and bear-fur earrings🤩. *hey, isn't this where Stevie Nicks got the song title of "Leather and Lace"?
Even mentioning Clash in this thread is an insult. Siouxsie had everything. They didn't do political BS because that shite doesnt even matter to real people in the long term. Clash are SO dated and irrelevant. Siouxsie is eternal.
they started at the same time but their is no comparison. the Banshees were exotic, dark and mysterious. the Clash appealed to a different sort of music lover. both great bands though.
Her outfit is incredible
I bought this single in 1982
Still play it, still love it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spectacularly brilliant transition track between Juju and Dreamhouse. ❤
Budgie looks great here!
So GOOD. Amazing guitarist...R.I.P. John.
Genius
R.I.P. John Mcgeoch. And R.I.P. his contemporary/original PIL guitarist Keith Levine. The Page and Hendrix of post punk.
She's absolutely lovely
Siouxsie always had the best outfits.
She`d have looked even better without them on
Fantastic, original, creative unique
shes still a godess

That gothic/post punk sound in the guitar is perfect
Fabulous Performance.
DIVINE DIVA!! 😍🥰🥰
Another epic performance by Siouxsie and the Banshees....they don't make them like that anymore
Very embarrassing. It's Memorex.
Isn't she just awesome
have seen her live, back in the old good new wave music days ....Goddess....I bow .
Fortissima e unica
such a shame mcgeoch left. their later stuff was good but he was untouchable.

SATB - British Post Punk Pyschedia at it's finest.
Clearly pre-recorded but still a powerful song.
Everything on top of the pops, ever , is pre recorded.
I think Siouxsie may still have that blue guitar..?
Ultimate
❤❤❤❤❤
Jeez, McGeoch must have had days left in the band at this point?

What is Severin all about?

Just not nice seeing them pretend to be playing.

Nyx Lorry fuck off then!
You haven’t the first clue about quality post punk music. Fucking whopper.
