The thing with it becoming London-themed is that it doesn't really work. The previous versions of Bowdenham felt like what they were, but this doesn't feel at all London-ish, no matter how many black cabs and red buses there are. I'm not really sure what his motivation for this was, but I feel like it does the map a disservice, particularly when most UK maps seem to be in the south anyway. I suspect it's because he may be using buildings from London, so to require the addon for a Yorkshire-themed map might feel wrong? That's really the only drawback with this map, though - I've always been a fan of it, and to see it refreshed to keep it current is good to see.
Honestly it's an absolutely delightful map to drive, and brings back many happy memories the more that I explore. I completely agree, I did say to him that as a proud northerner I found the London conversion totally unacceptable haha :D Though what you say does make sense about the London assets! I'll have to ask haha
Well to be honest, the whole reason the map is now London based is because I am a Londoner myself and at the time of creating Bowdenham V1-4 there was very little assets out there that would have worked well as London based map. I do appreciate that this may not be to everyone’s likening, hence why I included regional routes to try and appease the masses! Map making is a passion, and the draw of coming back to OMSI for me was the fact I could do what I always wanted, a London map. Many creators don’t finish and release maps because it’s a huge amount of time and effort to make something worthwhile. That passion must be there to make something successful. I hope this answer things for you, and I hope you are able to get some enjoyment out of this new version.
@@dazzap1980 Totally respect your decision Gazza, I've always loved your V4 version and still remember being a little kid at the candy shop when downloading it on Aussiex, ah good times😂 I only have a small issue with the map being the announcements for the routes involving London buses, I would've liked the AOL style announcements included in those routes but maybe it wouldn't be possible to do so. Will the Chronos make a comeback?

Well isn't that just a blast from the past! 😃 I understand the limits now with regards to the old Chrono system in V4, we just dont have enough older RHD buses, but can you imagine it With that? First Yorkshire Renowns and Arriva Spectras passing Stagecoach stripey ALX400s 🥰 All we need now is a good old Dennis Dart for omsi!
