I used to work in a nursing home, and we were told as long as they were 2 consisting adults, coherent, to leave them alone. Let them get busy. The families were the ones who freaked out.
This video highlights one of the things that I think is awful about these old age homes, namely that these adults are ostensibly being told what they can and cannot do. This sounds like a cross between prison and preschool. Horrific.
I would hope they’re being safe since STDs can be a problem at that age, but otherwise, they want to have fun and feel young again, no problem in that.
I dont quite understand what you mean by "they didnt hear in time" and "it was too late". Maybe Im misunderstanding you.. I just really dont like the idea that elderly people shouldnt have a sexuality. As long as everyone present consents, they should absolutely be allowed to play strip poker, have sex or whatever. I think it's getting a bit more open, nur in the past both elderly people as well as disabled people were denied being sexually active because of stigma. Sexuality is a basic human need from birth (some studies suggest even before that) till death, so as long as all participating parties are consenting, let them have their fun! ❤ (consent meaning no power dynamics, no coercion, saying yes etc.)
